I'm Lookin' for a Fast Ship

"Well, I guess we better get started on securing your freedom then, hmm?" Taeli said with a smile. If there was one thing she didn't like, it was slavery or forced servitude to a scumbag. Yes, her sister had definitely rubbed off on her, but even if she had remained a Sith, she would still go and do this. She had been known not to use slaves during her time there, saying volunteers and loyalty were more important than forcing someone to do something they didn't want to.

"I have a few things to wrap up here first, but I'll meet you back at your ship," she said. "Just go back the way we came, and you'll easily find the hanger. I just have to grab something."

Heading off in the opposite direction, she moved through the research station until she reached the office she kept on board to grab certain items she suspected she would need.

Talani nodded and began carefully navigating her way back to the ship. She hadn't expected Taeli to be interested in acting on her promise so soon. The Chiss was used to having to wait for people to act on the things they had told her they intended to do for her. She hadn't really been expecting to go home and immediately have someone fighting for her freedom. It was a nice change though, Talani decided as she reached her ship and looked around for Taeli. It wouldn't take long for Taeli to arrive back at Talani's ship, her satchel slung over her shoulder now that contained a few certain items she suspected she would need, including her lightsabers.

"Sorry that took a little while," she said, coming up the smuggler. "Wanted to make sure everything was fine here and grab a few certain items I'll probably be needing."

The Styx Research Station was going to be up and running fully in just a few days, the installation of certain equipment meant that things needed to be handled delicately.

"No problem. If i started to get too impatient I could have just left you here. You did pay me already after all," Talani replied with a teasing smile. She had done that to a few people though it was because they had tried to skip out on paying her and then asked for a ride back to where ever they came from. The Chiss didn't enjoy it when people tried cheat her or withhold her pay. [member="Taeli Raaf"]

"That would just be bad form as my ship is back on Nar Shaddaa, nice and secure," Taeli said. "I pity the idiot that tries and break into my personal ship, it has a very nice security system on it. Anywho, we should be off to meet this Hutt as soon as possible."

It was going to be unpleasant, no matter what, but then any dealings with Hutts were. She just could not like a single Hutt she had met ever, even though she could speak Huttese.

"About that... there's someone I'd like to come with us on this little visit. You wouldn't happen to know Solan Charr would you?" Talani asked, she vaguely remembered Solan mentioning the woman back on Apatros. If Taeli had any sort of connection to the slaver-hating man, maybe she could convince him to come and help them. She wanted as much help as possible in this endeavor, as even if she didn't get her own freedom, she was determined to at least retrieve Zaitha from Sempra's clutches. "Of course you know that dunderhead," Taeli said, rubbing the bridge of her nose. "Yes, I know him. He gets on my nerves . . . a ton . . . but we are friends."

This wasn't going to go well, if there was thing that could set Solan off, it was slavery. She didn't want to resort to violence, well be prepared for it yes, but not actually engage in it. Solan was just not going to be able to handle being near a Hutt she suspected without going into full homicidal mode.

"He knows a little bit about my... situation. We fought... back on Apatros. He uh... He wounded me, but only because Sempra would have killed me if I simply let him get away. I think he might actually be able to help me. The two of us alone aren't going to be able to get me or Zaitha away from Sempra. Regardless of what hidden talents you may have Miss Taeli, Sempra is not the kind to back down, no matter what," Talani explained as the boarded the ship and the Chiss collapsed into the pilot's seat. She glanced over at the woman and waited for a response. [member="Taeli Raaf"]
