Iliabath: A Quick Meeting (my sith associates)

The planet Iliabath lay some distance outside the Stygian Caldera, just past the new boundaries of Silver Jedi territory. Iliabath was a forgotten Sith world, minor by all accounts, but associated with availability of low-to-midgrade Sith artifacts. A bit of mild and expert investigation had yielded a small pile of dirty amulets and talismans, which dominated the stone table in the old temple's meeting room.

"You all know why we're here," said Velok, toying with a linked-triangle abattar necklace. "The Silver Jedi have accelerated their plans. They now control virtually the entire Stygian Caldera -- all the ancient Sith worlds, except this one and Krayiss Two. They've even made a point to begin exploration and surveillance of Corbos. They read my mind."

He sat heavily on the cooling body of a hssiss, one of the tomb guardians, and whuffled in irritation.

"We have an opportunity here to make a significant strike before the Jedi presence becomes too entrenched. However, I remain unconvinced that we have the numbers or assets at this time. Let's tally our assets now, and consider our opportunities. In the time we've had to work with, what have we accumulated?"

Nyra stretched out against the chair and yawns a little. Honestly, this wasn't her style. She'd have preferred to be sneaking around stealing something right now. Or maybe taking on other shapes. "How much resources do we need to take a bunch of dead worlds?" Nyra asked. It was a true enough statement. There was nothing of value to these worlds for the Jedi so the only logical reason for them to have taken the dead worlds was for spite. Not very Jedi like if one was to believe their propaganda. Then again during crisis's in the past they had been more concerned with taking Sith Worlds than actually protecting the people they claimed to govern. In addition they had broken their treaty and agreement with the Tionese people revealing their full hypocritical glory.

"Besides, these are Sith worlds. We may not have need for great armies and fleets to see the Jedi off of them. The very worlds are things of the darkside with temples and tombs of a millennium of generations of dead warriors. I have heard of these warriors being roused from their slumber in times past."

The amulet clicked under her metallic fingers as she turned it end over end. She'd long since stopped looking at its tarnished surface - it reminded her too much of how weak so many Sith were these days. Instead she looked at the gathering around her, perhaps the only promising conglomeration she'd considered in a long while. But nothing had been as good as the Fringe, and she didn't dare to imagine it would happen again in her lifetime. But she wasn't opposed to trying.

Onley sat at her side. For a headstrong child he was good at being quiet, at listening when it counted - when it would be to his benefit.

Her ears perked up when a woman, feline and nonchalant, spoke of raising the dead. Her proposition wasn't quite the same, but it was Matsu's cue to add what she could provide to the discussion.

"My history with the Silver Jedi is long, and ugly. Despite their inferior use of the Force, they are exceptionally well-coordinated and strong" she chimed, her telepathic communication floating quietly along the group. "That being said, in the past my Undead have worked against them nicely and I have built my stores up since the last time I met with them. They can serve as a great boost to whatever warriors we have at our disposal. If anyone has access to interesting...wildlife, I can add them to the pile as well."

At the mention of the undead Vassara felt her ears perk up. There was certainty great strength in a force multiplier. Much of her own work had been based closely off undead, and swarm typo genomes. What she had produced was her prized virus. Much of the flaws still needed a little working out, but recently at Metellos she'd had a substantial breakthrough.

Some of the more force sensitive types had mutated the ability to become hive minds. The virus itself was a strain of mixed Yuuzhan Vong DNA and remnants of the Dark Harvest plagues she'd managed to get her hands on.

Her pale white skin contrasted sharply with her yellow eyes, set ablaze by passion and ferocity.

"Much of my work is available. I have begun and completed several tests of a new virus agent. It is in short a type of force multiplier, much like the undead of Lord Xiangu. Think of it as a more profane line of Yuzhaan Vong. I call it the Swarm. At this point in time I have only one hive mind and a handful of warriors aboard the Hades. But there's always the possibility of assimilating more."

Vassara paused, crossing her midnight black gauntlets.
"With our combined assets we can surely tip the tide. We must prevail, we must destroy them ALL!"

The idea of [member="Darth Raxis"] and her 'swarm' intrigued Nyra as did the undead army commanded by [member="Matsu Xiangu"]. In truth neither of those things were Nyra's style and she'd probably be more comfortable sneaking into some place. She was a thief and had skills and wasn't the management type and yet... "Tell me more of this swam. What are it's capabilities? How large are they? The more information we know about your abilities and assets the better we can prepare for a conflict."

Besides Matsu was another younger man who Nyra was unsure of. Hell she was unsure of the entire adventure and yet here she was surrounded by powerful allies. She used the term sparingly as she was sure some meant to betray the group and most were in this for their own glory. Hell Nyra herself was in this for her own glory looking at opportunities to improve herself and seek more thrills.

OOC: Tech sub link to the swarm?

"Between the elements you've all named, I'd imagine we have a very good shot at locking down any given ground presence. Maybe not beating it outright, but certainly presenting an ongoing challenge. I can also provide my Tyuksleen, which eat Light Side energy -- Force artifacts, Jedi flesh -- and purify vergences that the Jedi have tried to 'reclaim.'

"As for the space side of things, the bulk of the Silver Sanctum fleet was recently...repossessed. We believe they have their Barsen'thor command ship and some large scout vessels, but nothing else larger than a corvette or frigate. I believe we could muster some ships of that scale, perhaps larger if we delve into leftovers from the Sith Empire.

"Strategically, my current thought is that we examine Korriban, the only reliable entrance to the Caldera. It's been under Silver Jedi control for some time, but I doubt they've given it much attention since then. I believe they've considered it a fait accompli, a finished deal.

"Thoughts?"

A quiet nod from the scientist came from the corner. She was swathed in dark fabric from head to toe, with only her geometrically tattooed green face visible for all to see. Her position was that of an academic, yet if required, she would be willing to extend her blade if only for the possibility of being able to learn more to progress with her experiments.

Word had it that it was unlikely that the Silver Jedi had given much thought to the position of the Caldara. If there was any a time to strike, it was now. Now when they believed it to be a fait accompli. As a means to an end, Darth Vashti was prepared to fight.

Catalys strode lazily into the scene, encapsulated within his laminanium exoskeleton; undoubtedly hiding his Umbaran features from all.

"They over-commit," he interjects, his voice modulated into a monotonous gruff. "At Ziost and Ruusan--their commanders fully commit their forces, and prove far too slow to react." Catalys speaks from experience, memories of the past now flooding to the forefront of his mind.

He circles around the table past the various bodies which occupied old chairs, before seating himself in the nearest vacancy. "Play that to your advantage, encourage them to commit their forces away from any actual targets. By the time it takes for them to react, you should have the victories you seek. Let them believe they have theirs."

The agent interlocks his fingers, placing the armour-clad hands atop the stone table.

Lord Fa listened quietly to the others, every once in a while bobbing his beak when someone said something which he agreed at least somewhat with. Most of the individuals gathered here knew him already, from one operation or the other, and they knew the Avian to be a cautious sentient.

A cautious Sith, who had little use for the usual traits of audacity and boldness.

"One strike, here and now.
Swift and true and fast, we move.
Muddy ground drags long."

He inclined his long neck slightly, before pulling his robes closer to himself.

To them... hearing Tai Fa support an all-out attack on the Silver Jedi, it in itself was an endorsement that would run higher than those who tasted copper on a daily basis. Part of him was concerned, though, concerned how much individuals they were drawing in on such short notice. He did not recognize half of the people here... a shadowy organization of Sith was hardly secret, if everyone knew of it from the get go.

"Ships, I have, plenty.
Small and agile and hidden.
Transmission assured."

Fa's shipping company would be able to pass common scrutiny, possibly move assets and bodies to their designated locations before their final plans would roll into motion.

The young acolyte had arrived, and managed to secure a seat at the table of Sith, and just watched as everyone discussed about striking at the Silver Jedi it sounded crazy to him,but not impossible even though the sith were at a weakened state since the One Sith collapsed. He nodded when velok talked about striking Korriban. The Ancient Homeworld of the sith would be a symbolic victory if they can pull it off not to mention access into the Caldera.

Still a question came to mind which the young Acolyte must asked even though it could sound stupid to the rest of the group. "Do we have the Manpower not to mention the resources for such an attack. The Silver Jedi are many, and we are so few. But i could see how symbolic such a victory could be for us."

Damien was silent amongst the others. He had nothing to add, simply awaiting a decisive course of action. There had been conversation of him going to Ziost, but he had not heard the finality. So he had not gone. Now he was here to hear what could be said of this all. The Silver were a fast working people, though they didn't always keep themselves grounded well enough.

"I, through hidden means, have access to Spaarti. If needed, I can have us a force in but a short time." Was all he added to the conversation.

Perched atop a conveniently located chair, talons clicking against the old wood as he shifted occasionally. The Apokkan listened to the group's leader speak about Jedi and their encroachment on Sith worlds. The evidence was clear that looting of all kinds was occurring, if not outright desecration of ancient sites. For the small avian, what he could contribute was nowhere near as grand as the other individuals here, but with the right circumstances, even a small contribution mattered.

"Bok-bokka, Bugga-bok a-bokkbokk bockkaa," began the Apokkan Sith, pausing only to preen his feathers before continuing. "Bugg-a-okk bukk bukka. Bukk-ukka-a bokk-bokk-a, okka-bokk bugga. Bugga-a bukk-ukk-ukka."

His contribution made, Gallus returned to his mild preening and waited. With luck things would wrap up soon and a decision would be made. Oh how he longed for his talons and beak to finally rip and tear once more into the flesh of the Jedi.

Not that he'd yet to have such an opportunity, but it was important for a Sith to keep up appearances.

OOC:
"Bok-bokka, Bugga-bok a-bokkbokk bockkaa,"
"My fellow lord, while I may not possess the raw materials or mountains of glorious technological assets, nor profound contacts that the group may find useful, I do hope my contribution is sufficient."

"Bugg-a-okk bukk bukka. Bukk-ukka-a bokk-bokk-a, okka-bokk bugga. Bugga-a bukk-ukk-ukka."
"I will pledge one thousand of my warriors to the cause you put forth today. My warriors are eager and ready to lay waste to the Jedi horde, each one of my Apokkan warriors is well trained and willing to lay down their lives for the glory of the Sith. Let us spearhead any attack on the Lightsider's rabble and carry the glory of personal combat to their followers where we might rip victory from their greedy talons."

"Archangel's intelligence branch can confirm your assessment regarding Korriban," the clone spoke softly in response to Velok. "The Silver Jedi's annexation of the planet was mostly uneventful, and the lack of resistance appears to have lulled them into complacency. They gave little attention to it during the occupation beyond construction of a Jedi Enclave. Their main fortifications are in the southwest, on Ossus and Boz Pity."

Those had been built by Firemane to defend the western frontier against a possible One Sith or Sith Triumvirate attack, but neither had materialised. Curious brown eyes swept over the crew the Whiphid Sith had gathered. For just a moment, they fell upon the infamous Lady Xiangu. Perhaps a moment longer than was appropriate.

"The Silver Jedi have many powerful Force-users and it seems more Jedi have flocked to their banner, but on Ruusan their forces suffered from poor coordination and lack of direction from above. If the manpower is available, it may be wise to launch diversionary actions to split their forces and prevent them from mustering a coherent response. Archangel would be able to provide HRDs, battle droids and subcapital ships, for a price."

The clone's expression was pensive, before she spoke up once more. "How likely is that the Silver Jedi receive outside support? Their foreign policy has tended towards isolationism and they recently blundered at Yavin."

While the Coalition had provided support at Lujo, they'd sat the rest of the Galactic Alliance's crusade out. More recently, Coalition battleships had entered the Yavin System without permission and been turned away by Mandalorians. Neither move was conducive to gaining allies, though at the same time both galactic nations were hostile to Sith, though many Mandalorians were not keen on Jedi either.

Darth Abyss had remained silent, waiting to see what this new band of sith had to offer, his expression under his mask stoic and emotionless. Weeks ago he stood on the top of an army large enough to crush what little resistance they would meet under his thumb. Yet times had changed and the empire he served had crumbled to dust, and only few of his man remained loyal. These who did on the other hand where battle worn and loyal until death, never questioning the words of the last knight of the One sith.

Not enough to take out an army or to conquer worlds, but skilled in things outside of open combat. Almost anyone that still was part of the One Sith intelligence still followed his command, and any of them was able to take out the enemy from the inside. Propaganda, psychological warfare, infiltration and even terrorism on one side, reconnaissance and communications on the other. They couldn't win a war, but they could make sure that everything would happen at the best time at the best place.

His men were loyal to him, and onyl to him. At the the beginning of the meeting he would have never offered one of his most valuable resources for an attack on the coalition, a group comparably less concerned with the sith than many others. Only the possibility of taking korriban, the ancient home of the sith

"I offer my men. They can keep the enemy under surveillance at any second, find the best positions for entry. They can make sure that we hit them when they are weak, when they are unprepared and unfocused."

A single, dark laugh emerged from the lungs of the sith knight, a sound demonic and inhuman in its nature.

"May the sith rule what if rightfully ours, so we can walk upon the sand of korriban once more."

Nyra saw Lord [member="Tai Fa"] and the new [member="Darth Gallus"] squawking about and then made a decision. There was enough birds, she'd attend this meeting as a human, in her Nyra form. A frown appeared on her face as she did enjoy transforming into something that flew and yet her current form was one more convenient. [member="Enyo Typhos"] spoke with a little briefing on the state of affairs confirming what [member="Velok the Younger"] had said.

There was new faces in the meeting too. [member="Jaryn Starkiller"] and [member="Damien Daemon"] were present and meeting Nyra for the first time. Jaryn had brought up the point about numbers. They, as a group, were still fairly undermanned but with their little coup they could expect bolstered ranks. "We have forces being committed right now." Nyra scratched at her ear. A thousand Akoppa wasn't exactly the army she'd had in mind but still they could serve their purpose. Birds were vicious with talon and beak.... birds... but not all birds. Looking to Damian she nodded, "Any assistance you offer would be appreciated I assure you."

Finally she turned to Enyo. The woman had spoken of payment and Nyra had an idea as to that. "What type of payment would archangel being looking for?" Her mind wondered. She had been on a roll recently and had acquired a goodly sum of gemstones and other valuables, some priceless to the right buyer. Yes, Nyra was confident she could pay a bulk sum of the cost if needed.

He listened quietly as ideas sparked and became known.

"If it remains intact, I have the plans of the Academy erected by the Primeval as a gift to the Sith... Truthfully, the defenses can be bypassed and disabled by infiltrators through a power generator located behind the main structure." He didn't feel the need to remind anyone that it was built upon the ruins of the original academy, and thus holds significant power in the Dark Side.

Beyond that--should they have not been removed--there were numerous artifacts held within the academy by both Sith and Primeval instructors.

Catalys' attention, however, was still geared towards the plan of attack. He had some ideas of his own, but was eager to hear what others had in mind. Particularly, he was intrigued by the bird's words. Couldn't he have been less vague?

One moment, Pollux was ordering [member="Nyra Mazul"] to beat up debtors. The next, she was having him tag along with what he could only describe as a spooky meeting of suitably spooky Sith. There was talk of plagues and undead, and a large Whipid was lounging on a larger Hssiss. This was certainly the correct address, no doubt about that.

This clandestine rally featured a Whiphid, two birds, a Mirialan, and at least one Shi'ido. Possibly the most racially diverse gaggle of Sith since the time when Darth Shara and Darth Orcus were alive at the same time. Not that he would know anything about that. No, all Pollux knew was what Nyra had informed him of- which was that there were further opportunities for him and his ilk with the evil space wizards and not the lovey-dovey space wizards. And really, everyone already knew that. Finding the evil ones where they were in a position to be reasonable was the hard part.

And that had also been promised, them being reasonable. But [member="Darth Raxis"] frothing at the mouth and the chicken-talk were only serving to make Pollux uncomfortable. Uncomfortable in a way he never had been before and, hopefully, never would be again. The Givin gave no hint of this, naturally. He stood placidly a foot or so behind Nyra, observing with his usual bland silence. [member="Jaryn Starkiller"] had at least asked a sensible question, and [member="Enyo Typhos"] sounded especially... Analytical.

Maybe he could stay a few extra minutes.

The dead hssiss shifted under him. Irritated, he stood and leaned against the table, claws scoring lines on the old stone.

"You've all named significant assets and generous contributions. Miss Typhos, between Nyra and myself, I feel confident we can cover your operational expenses." A ghost of a smile. "I recently blackmailed a seven-figure sum out of Star Tours, for example."

He stood to his full height. "We are none of us altruists, of course. We each stand to gain a great deal from a Jedi-free Caldera, no matter how short or long the ensuing window may be. Korriban is the most obvious target, and based on what we've discussed, I believe we could easily lure the Silver Jedi there from the rest of their positions in the Caldera. Their strongest and nearest point of reinforcement, of course, is Dromund Kaas, which occupies a central and strategic position.

"In terms of other targets, we've noted scout ships and exploration parties -- minor Jedi and Antarian Rangers, we believe -- as far afield as Corbos and Thule. I don't see as it would be terribly difficult to locate and destroy or harass these scouting parties."

[member="Nyra Mazul"]

Sith were, perhaps unfairly, commonly stereotyped as being human supremacists and space fascists who felt strong racial animosity against nonhumans. Admittedly rather unpleasant episodes such as the Galactic Empire's conduct, not to mention repeated genocides against Togorians in recent times tended to reinforce the stereotype.

However, in the light of the fact that this, presently nameless, group contained a Whiphid, two birds, a Mirialan and Shi'do one could say with absolute certainty that this was equal opportunities evil. In all likelihood, Enyo would be unaware of Nyra being a shapeshifter, but that was besides the point.

Before this writer continues making vaguely relevant but mostly tangential meta comments, we shall let the clone actually say something. "Regarding payment, we'd accept credits or valuable items such as gemstomes and other valuables that we can make a profit with," she responded calmly.

Archangel could doubtless fence that stuff. Who knew, maybe pompous Space Elves would do them a favour and buy it. Enyo had been raised in a monastic way and thus personally had no use for frivolous things.

She glanced towards [member="Velok the Younger"] when he informed her that he'd recently blackmailed a seven-figure sum from Star Tours. Approval points gained! There was a ghost of a smile on her otherwise stoic face. "I believe the two of you can definitely match our price then. Our units will be delivered with their equipment," she agreed.

"We also have the infamous bolter my sister loves to brag about. If you take any prisoners during this campaign, they can be sent to us." The machine cult just wanted to teach them about truth, justice and the Archangel way. It was like the Justice League...with homicidal droids. She gave Velok a nod when he outlined his plan. HRDs could make a solid contribution when it came to ambushes, stealthy incursions and such.

"I am willing to engage the enemy scout fleets," he responds to the Whipid.

Catalys rose from his acquired slouch, his voice still being modulated and face hidden behind the stark helmet. "I would even suggest harassing their worlds, and then moving onto the next before the enemy has a chance to engage... To see how well they play hide-and-seek."

If his information was correct--as reinforced by earlier discussion--then their fleet was certainly at its weakest in terms of both numbers and competent leaders. He had confidence that his own fleet would be more than capable of standing toe-to-toe in such affairs.

Luring the enemy to targets, then vacating that space for another, would certainly prove most irritating, as one might imagine.
