Description: The Ignis I was a ship designed to excel in no one area. And while it fulfilled its unambitious role adequately, it was decided that the Ignis needed a bit more focus. Dubbed the Ignis II, the new assault frigate is given a ferocious update to its armaments. Its dual turbolasers were replaced with heavy turbolaser cannons, its ion cannons were doubled from seven to fifteen, and it was given a suite of concussion missiles and a pair of dead assault concussion missile launchers. With fortified shields and redundant shield generators, the Ignis II provides near cruiser-levels of firepower and defense for a fraction of the cost.
