OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
Weaknesses :
Not long after testing and reviewing the unique model, dubbed 'IG-802', Holowan Laboratories approved the creation of a second droid, that would be nearly identical to the first. Pitted against sentient and droid combatants alike upon Alabash, those that had manufactured the special MagnaGuards were pleased with its performance, finding it capable of a wide variety of tasks upon the simulated battlefield. However, the manufacturers knew that these two droids would most likely be working in tandem, deciding to split the lethal gadgetry half and half between them.
Both effectively wield electrostaves as well as the other, but their more subtle, built-in weaponry is what makes the two models different. 802's gadgets are geared more towards saber combat, more or less to catch an opponent off guard or subdue them. 803 on the other hand is just a tad bit more lethal, able to burn said subdued victims to a crisp, or blast them to pieces with a rocket. 802 and 803 are programmed specifically to work together, though they will heed their master's orders above all else. While tactics executed by these droids in combat are not guaranteed to always succeed, they, in theory, would be devastatingly effective if they were to.

- MagnaGuard Design: These droids are made to battle force-users. This model is no exception, equipped with all of the features that are standard of the IG-800 MagnaGuard design. Advanced servomotors allow it to keep up in lightsaber combat, while it's heuristic programming constantly adapts the droid to whatever situation may be at hand. A warrior through and through, the droid will even continue to battle while missing limbs or a head.
- Defenses: This MagnaGuard has been outfitted with durable phrik plating, specifically in anticipation of lightsaber combat. Various sensors allow the droid to be much more aware of its surroundings, and thus more capable of serving their master. Specifically requested, this model is far more resilient to EMP/Ion based weaponry, due to the capacitance shield along with a feature that is new to the IG-800, an ionization buffer.
Weaknesses :
- Back-up System: Mounted within the torso, is a back-up system that allows the droid body to continue functioning even when decapitated. While not a widely known fact, anyone familiar with the model would be able to take advantage of this, for a single well placed strike to the chest makes disabling the droid much easier. A skilled enough slicer could also hack the back-up system and disable it.
- Shield: The capacitance shield built within the MagnaGuard is it's first and strongest line of defense against electricity based weaponry, but it can only take so much energy. Prolonged (10-20 seconds, varies) exposure or rapid/high payload of such effects will overheat the shield, shutting it down, and causing the droid to rely on other means of defense.
