TECHNICAL INFORMATION
  • Classification: Fourth Degree
  • Weight: 1.93 m
  • Height: 128 kg
  • Movement: Bipedal
  • Armaments: Electrostaff
  • Misc. Equipment: Advanced droid components (head and chest sensors, core etc.) and a faraday cage.
SPECIAL FEATURES
  • Loadout programming
  • Hand to Hand Combat Programming
  • Advanced Droid Brain
  • Strengthened Silver Chest Faraday Cage
  • Advanced Combat Learning Programs
  • Duranium Plating
  • Durasteel Frame
  • Head sensors
  • Chest sensor
Strengths:
  • These models of Magnaguards are designed for all range of melee combat and are programmed with some hand to hand combat capability in the absence of a melee weapon.
  • These models of Magnaguards are capable of continuing to the fight and adapt even when their limbs and heads are lost due to their advanced combat learning programs and their key systems being located in their chest.
    - If the droid loses an appendage it will adapt to the situation, compensate for the lost arm and continue fighting to complete it's mission.
  • Built with a faraday cage these models are able withstand electromagnetic attacks, including ion.
  • Designed similarly to Qymaen's personal model and the original Magnaguard, these model's frames are capable of extreme feats of agility, athletics and acrobatics.
  • Built with reinforced durasteel frames and duranium plating, this model is intended to participate in feats of combat against glancing lightsaber combat and blaster fire.
Weaknesses:
  • These models designed closely with Qymaen's personal model are as capable of fighting an organic individual but lacks the same creativity to come up with unique battle patterns relying on previous experience and programming to perform functionally.
  • Constructed from Duranium plating and Durasteel frames these units possess high resilience but with obvious exposed joints where the Duranium plating exposes the durasteel frame beneath creating an opening for possible lightsaber strikes or focused blaster fire.
  • While Magnaguard units protect their chest sensors, their primary sensors, if they are destroyed they will completely shut down.
    - If the droid's chest sensor is compromised the droid will cease to function.
  • Even with chest faraday cages, there is a chance of full overcharge that would render the faraday cage useless.
DESCRIPTION
Following the construction plans of his own personal Magnaguard, there was no end to the Droid Generals determination to reinforce the CIS droid military. He decided that, while he had his own guard, there was no reason why the military personnel and naval command of the CIS should not have their own personal defenses. He knew the Magnaguards were already strong and deadly as they were, Holowan had already constructed their own new line of IG-800 series models, but having gone to great lengths to seek the approval of their original manufacturers he wanted something of a personal touch.

-These models of Magnaguards are designed for anti-melee weapon combat these models are designed with minimal hand to hand combat training.

So they're ranged? If they're designed to have minimal hand to hand combat training, that would make anti-melee difficult.

-These models of Magnaguards are capable of continuing to the fight even when their limbs and heads are lost.

How?

-Built with reinforced durasteel frames and duranium plating, this model is intended to participate in feats of combat against minimal lightsaber combat and minimal blaster fire.

If their frame is reinforced, wouldn't that make them very durable, able to withstand more than minimal lightsaber and blaster combat?

-Constructed from Duranium plating and Durasteel frames, these models function similar to Qymaen's personal model but are far more vulnerable to blasters and lightsabers.

Like the previous, this cannot be both a strength and a weakness, or If it can be, explain why.

In canon Magnaguards were capable of fighting even after their heads or limbs were severed, as is shown in both the Clone Wars series as well as Star Wars Revenge of the Sith. It is part of their programming that makes them able to adapt to fighting with significant damage to their arms, legs or head if their core is intact.

As for the metals being a strength and weakness: While they have tough metals to build them and give them lasting standing power, they fall short significantly in comparison to the model I subbed for Qymaen personally that was constructed entirely of phrik.

For the first detail I wrote anti-melee but forgot that that meant ranged. They are not ranged, I meant to state that as anti-weapon melee combat.

Right, I understood that part, however if you could explain how they are able to continue fighting on, or point to their resiliency due to a centrally located droid brain (In the torso or otherwise) and that they will even continue to carry out their mission until such a time as they are rendered unable to do so.

As each submission is judged on its own merit, this will still need to be adjusted. Durability is in reference to standard. Citing the metals you've listed, they would provide above average protection. This particular strength/weakness combo seems to contradict itself. You might be able to put a clause in, stating that certain metals are only used in portions of the droid, making it limited protection around critical components like joints or limbs etc. By doing so, you could have a strength and weakness both related to the materials you have linked.

This still reads as confusing. To clearly state this, you could say something like "This model was designed for melee weapon combat and without a weapon in hand, their combat ability is greatly decreased"
That being said, this would be a weakness, not a strength. What is it you're trying to do with this strength? I'm not sure I'm understanding it as it reads somewhat contradictory.
