If You Want to Play with the Big Boys, You Have to Have the Big Toys [Moross]

In Orbit over Ceto
Aboard the KDY Command Ship Eralis

Well-laid plans hardly mattered when one couldn't put them into motion. Nearly a year had passed since the foundation of the Moross Crusade was laid out and the first contact with KDY CEO Lorelei Darke was made. Though connected by relations that the people would never become aware of, Moross Aesir Neth had implored the KDY, one of the grandest and longest standing major shipyards in the galaxy, to help them establish their own base of manufacturing.

One could wonder what the Republic's shining crown might have need for business connections with the wilds of space, but on paper business was everything. The Expansion Regions and Wild Space zones were prime real estate for any company looking to expand, and so after striking a deal with the Aesir, the plans were set.

At the time Ceto had only been a distant goal for the Crusade. Kinooine, however, was present and accounted for and prime for restructure from the washed-out Pirate hub to another high-functioning crown of the stars. There had only been one problem: The Horde. Like a bad weed, the surly bunch had literally sprung up overnight, claiming the Crusades attention and monetary investment for their extermination.

Next came the installation of the Silk Holdings famed HALCYON systems throughout Moross Space.
Now with the threat extinguished and Ceto properly in their grips, the Crusade could finally focus on the big picture.

Now it was time to put their plans into motion.

Plan 1: Expand and upgrade the Ceto Shipyards to accommodate the construction of Capital Ships.
Plan 2: Establish minor shipyards and orbital repair hubs at Kinooine.

There were only two problems - after being set aside for more pressing matters, Pirates had once again attempted to retake Kinooine, laying mine fields in the surrounding system and making a nuisance of themselves. The second issue? Getting construction materials all the way to Ceto while remnants of the Horde continued to file their retributions for the destruction of Yuuzhan'tar. Materials were costly and shipping them was not time efficient. The Crusade could not afford to lose a single bolt.

DiVanca Leonardi was not the Queen Lorelei Darke, CEO of the KDY. But, in the absence of such, she was certainly the next best person to represent KDY as it's Head of Operations. The smartly dressed blond waited patiently within the command deck of the Eralis, going over the last bits of the itinerary as she waited for the Leaders of Moross to join her either in person, or on a Holocall.

All Moross members are welcome to join - [member="Crystal"] [member="Siara Vorru"] [member="Cat Van-Derveld"] [member="Loxa Visl"] [member="Serian Loria"] and anyone else that I can't remember how to spell the names.

[member="Judah Dashiell"] you are also welcome if you would like to take part.

Moross needs 60 posts minimum for the major shipyards on Ceto to construct ships over 2000m.

The modified AlAT/i that drifted casually towards the Eralis after being deposited by an unsuspecting Lancer-class Frigate had seen a great amount of time in the shipyards of KDY. It's principal occupant was also very familiar with the organization and, specifically, its upper management. While his most recent meeting with the CEO of KDY had been less than professional and much more personal, he did not anticipate any such matters surfacing during this particular visit. More specifically, he could not even feel the presence of [member="Lorelei Darke"].

As the Nemesis began making its final approach, a man draped in dark blue and gray knocked lightly on the door to Cameron's personal quarters. After being admitted, the man delivered a succinct report. "We will be arriving within ten minutes, Deceiver."

Cameron did not look up from the array of flimsis before him as he waved the man away. Once the door had sealed again, silver-green eyes tracked up to its steel surface. While he would have preferred to dispatch another to these proceedings, he did not prefer to insult KDY by sending a minion in his stead. Likewise, he would leave the management of any Horde remnants to others. There was no need for the Aesir to become directly involved when they had so many capable zealots on hand. Speaking of...Cameron grasped his datapad and sent a brief message to Blade [member="Zoey Marix"] and Crusader [member="Crystal"] Carter.

I'm forwarding you the latest intelligence reports on the Horde insurrection. See to it that it's managed. Crystal, see to it that the Kinoooine situation is...rectified as well. I do not expect either of these problems to still be more than a nuisance when I emerge from this meeting, ladies.
Once the message had been sent, Cameron came to his feet and adjusted his cloak before exiting his personal quarters and making his way towards the cargo area to await the Nemesis' arrival on the Eralis.

In the shadows, at the fringe
He hadn’t anticipated getting involved in the faction’s endeavors so soon, but he ended up being graced the position of Neth’s representative. It didn’t help that he wasn’t familiar with any of the events going on, but apparently the God of Knowledge couldn’t be denied. It mattered little at that point, he was given a task and he would carry it out. He stood waiting quietly, dressed in the proper robes instead of his modified ones simply because it was a necessary evil. These were still form fitting, but in the proper dark orange and black. He didn’t think it prudent to show up in anything less, especially since his presence might cause offence the Gods themselves were expected and not a mere underling like himself, capable or not.

As the matter stood the vessel he’d been given for this current assignment had just docked and he waited patiently for the rest of the procedures to be done so he could disembark. In his hand was a journal and pen, the better to take notes of what was going on to give Neth when he had the opportunity. He was pretty confident in his ability to give an oral report, but physical notes were always helpful. He didn’t carry any weapons, a bold statement perhaps, but he wasn’t a physical fighter and what need he to carry one? He did have one, but if a fight broke out he’d have support, he wasn’t alone. Once the doors opened he stepped out and was led where he could wait, he said not a word just studied his surroundings.

When he was alone he leaned comfortably his eyes closed. One might take it as being defenceless, but he was taking in everything with his Senses. There was only so much eyes could see and he was taking it a step further. It was something to keep him occupied till it was time to focus, plus everything he might learn could be of use.

Oh this would be interesting.

Taking a good look at the datapad as it bleeped on my side, I looked to the message. A personal calling from the New Aesir to surface in another ones wake. I tapped the screen and with a flicker it came to the message. Reading it over, I smiled dully. I would be working possibly with [member="Crystal"] once more. I then tapped out a message in return to acknowledge that I had seen it. it took a total of thirty seconds and after sending it, I smiled. speaking the words out loud to myself as I started to make my way to my room. "Consider it done my Aesir."

----------------------------------------------------------
Dressed not in battle armor, but in a form fitting smugglers uniform, I had my beskad horizontal with my hips on the small of my back. As well, I had a simple training saber on my belt. I never really felt the need to upgrade to a real saber, as I still did not feel like having a lightsaber was necessary. Not yet anyways. I kept my face void of emotions as Crystal and I would meet here on Kinooine and make our way to the shipyards and other places where the Pirates, and the Horde loving members would be. It was here where we would end their fight against us and turn it around into our attack against them.

I was tired of this bull crap. Adjusting the DD-44 on thigh I took it out of the holster, and removed the scope. I shook my head and let it drop to the ground as I would not need it. Most of my fight would be close up anyways. I placed it back in the holster and moved on towards our meeting spot. Remembering the message that was sent to her.

Aesir Aatrox needs our assistance on Kinooine. We shall meet there at the Starport. Be prepared for battle.

I looked around, taking in the information of the Pirates and other such people in the area. Glad that I still had my Leviathan bracers, as well as my Echani Dueling shield. All looking like it was just part of who I was. and well, it worked.

Crystal’s eyes opened with the alert from her data pad. A message from Cameron. Including intelligence reports. Excellent. Fun times ahead from what she was reading. Mines and Pirates and zealots, Oh My. She grinned. Then she got up from her seated position on her bed and made her way to the Commander. On her way she tapped out a message to have her apprentices join them at the space station. Some would know why, others wouldn’t. But they had their orders.

Another message came in, from Zoey, stating that she would meet them at the starport. She sent back an acknowledgement and kept walking.

She handed the data pad to the commander, Siara. “The newest intelligence reports from the Deceiver.” And she stood quietly while her companion took a look at them.

On the Bridge of her newest command the Regent an old Pellaeon-class Star Destroyer Siara was commanding the crew to bring the ship into the Kinooine system. As much as she liked to be on the ground slugging it out with her rifle she was starting to enjoy commanding these big vessels, all the power went straight to her head. She glanced over her shoulder as Crystal approached, she took the datapad and glanced over it briefly, more pirates in the Kinooine system but that was what they had expected they had brought this massive vessel for just that reason.

“Very well, we are approaching the system now, anyone on the planet surface should be able to transfer up within twenty minutes. In the meantime I will enter the coordinates of the nearest identified pirate base into the Regents systems.” Siara started tapping away at a keypad built into her command chair as she waved dismissively to Crystal.

Ceto - 9AM Local Time

Back on Ceto to spend time with his family, Judah sat in his home office. With the datapad loading his son sat balanced against his body, staring at the surroundings. Not necessarily grooming the boy for a eventual takeover of Salacia Consolidated, Judah wasn't going to discourage such a thing either. Exposing young Makai to his work at an early age would be key in at least having the boy open to it as he grew older. Datapad had come to life and Judah started to type, pulling up an internal database that he and other high-level Salacia employees could access on a daily basis from around the galaxy.

Construction on a agriculture facility in Levantine Sanctum space was going well. The shell had been constructed in record time and now the interior was being completed. Firemane was still guarding the facility, as they had hit-and-run attacks all during construction. Typing a note into the entry, Judah made sure to ask later if they needed to install better perimeter security.

An urgent notice came across the datapad, causing Judah to frown. Horde remnants had stolen a shipment of Salacia Consolidated semi-precious metals just outside of Ceto space. Pulling items from the sea floor wasn't a cake walk. It was time consuming and expensive. To have something snatched away so close to home was infuriating.

"What the hell good is Moross if they can't even wipe out the Horde?!" Makai looked up at him, blue eyes questioning. Judah quickly turned in his chair, searching for [member="Thessa Kai"] . He didn't hear footfalls, but the woman was a deadly assassin when she wanted to be. "Please don't let that be your first word, alright buddy? Just a little upset shipments are still getting taken."

"Either we're going to have to change our routes again or throw more money at [member="Siobhan Kerrigan"] to get her to escort our cargo off of Ceto."

[member="Siara Vorru"] [member="Zoey Marix"]

Crystal raised an eyebrow. “And compensate for the mine fields, of course.” As for being waved off, she did not appreciate that in the slightest. Silently she communicated to Siara “And If you wave me off again, I will remove your hand.” And then probably her head. But that depended on her companion now didn’t it.
The Sith wasn’t going to undermine her authority at the moment, but she’d long since grown tired of the woman’s insolence. Last warning.

She went ahead and made herself comfortable in a chair on the bridge, but said nothing more for the moment. Now they waited for Zoey to board so they could be on their way.

"The Nemesis is inbound, M'Lady."

"We have a secondary, smaller shuttle touching down in the hangar bay."

DiVanca looked up from a holoprojection of the Ceto system, glancing to the nearby Comm's Officer and gave him a nod, "begin transmission with Kuat." Though the CEO couldn't be here in person today, she would be making a visit by holocall. In times of war within the Republic, it wouldn't do to take leave.

"We have evidence of Horde movement on the outskirts of Ceto system, Ma'am. Guard ships are on high alert."

"How close have they come?" DiVanca looked to the map again.

"Out of range, Ma'am."

"Inform the Crusade fleet,"

"On it Ma'am. They've sent out a scout team."

"Nemesis has arrived. The Captain is ready to receive them."

Hangar bay.

The Morossian arrivals would find themselves greeted by the Captain, one who clearly was not a native to Kuat but honored all the same. A felacat, judging by the tail and visible soft patterns of silver-grey tiger stripes along the contours of her face. Wide, luminous violet eyes took in the Aesir and others.

"Grrrreetings, Morrrross," she gave a respectable bow, right hand held at her back, "welcome to the Errralis. I am Captain Miet'rrra Eske. If you will follow me, I will take you the Command Centerrr and Miss Leonarrrdi."

Blackthorne

She of the Trillion Thorns
Loxa Visl, Priestess and Steward of Moross, would not typically be sent out on a scouting team mission. Space battles were not within the woman's skillset nor a particularly preferred method of offense. But, as the hitherto mentioned Hordlings within Ceto space made enough of a nuisance of themselves to gain the attention of not only Moross, but Ceto officials as well.

When Ceto officials complained it wasn't a good thing.

But how did one stamp out an infestation that reached across multiple galactic planetary systems and had a penchant for hiding in the deepest, darkest, dirtiest crevices of existence until you left?

You send in a Priestess, that's how.

Unfortunately Loxa Visl was only one Priestess and she'd been at this for months - hunting down wayward Vong. Albeit there were many others too, but this was a lengthy process. There were no maps in existence that one could unfold and they would simply point out Vong hidey-holes.

This entire post so far is completely off-key for this character.

Let's start over.

Loxa Visl stood next to the Captain within one of Moross' many Ithari Swarm Frigates, listening in on the reports of the latest Vong pestilence to reach their farthest standing planet, Ceto. They had tracked the group to nearby planet Oberon so that is where she was headed. On this vessel could be any number of other Moross members who want to go on a Vong hunt. They're almost there.

Grammar.

Cameron's silver-green gaze tracked briefly to [member="Serian Loria"] as the man appeared. The Deceiver had...heard rumor of Neth sending a stand in. While the man that Neth had selected was not unknown to Cameron, the Sith Lord was still a bit...irritated. Serian in any type of official capacity was still an unknown quantity to Cameron. The man had a sterling reputation, yes, but he was also basically a librarian.

As the Captain greeted them both, Cameron shifted his gaze. Allowing a subtle nod of thanks, Cameron chose to guard his tongue for the time being. Folds of dark blue and gray glided lightly over the surface of the spacecraft's deck as he followed the felacat to their destination.

Lit ruby eyes looked as as Aatrox entered and he inclined his head slightly with respect. He pushed away from the wall as the feline entered and he fell quietly instep beside the god. His journal was easily slipped into a hidden place in his robes. His eyes glittered, his blood was up since it would be clear soon what exactly their mission was to be. Despite his inner reluctance to participate so soon, he also felt excited at the prospect of doing something. Whether it be talk or battle, he couldn’t wait to get started. The prospect of bloodshed was a more interesting thought than talk, but then in battle he’d always felt more alive.

He might avoid unnecessary violence when he could, but it didn’t mean he didn’t enjoy it. It was how he honed his abilities and it made the Beast hunger, but he contained himself. There was no telling what they were called for and he could wait patiently for those details.

Meeting up was not so good. A ship came down and a man walked out towards me. Directly at me in fact. He walked over and bowed his head and spoke, "We have come to pick you up for you to be taken to [member="Siara Vorru"]'s Star Destroyer, The Regent." Nodding to him, I waved for him to lead me. Walking up to the shuttle, it only took a few moments before we lifted off to The Regent. And it was only a few minutes later that I landed in the Hangar bay.

I made my own way out of the ship and moved towards the bridge. Knowing that they would be waiting for me. [member="Crystal"] was not really the best person I could work with. But we knew how to work together. Clearly seeing as how both of us wanted to better the Crusade, I would dial down the high and mighty attitude and try to work with others for once in a partnership role, rather than a leadership role.

Azlyn remained quiet, the others were speaking and she was still a lowly initiate of the goddess and her masters apprentice. Master Crystal would tell her if she was needed to give input while her curtain of white hair remained. The equipment for fighting off to the side and she was flicking her eyes back and forth listening to all of them.

[member="Cameron Centurion"] [member="Serian Loria"]

"You'rrre a quiet bunch, hmmm?" Captain Eske smile, cheeks pushing up into her eyes, "this way." With a flick of her long, striped tail, the felacat strode off and lead them to the command center where DiVanca stood hovering over the holoprojection meeting table. As they arrived, she turned to greet the pair with a smart, keen glance.

"Hello, Aesir Aatrox and ..." her eyes wavered over the second, searching her memory for the colors of each represented Aesir, living or not, "Archivist of Neth, a pleasure to meet you both. I am DiVanca Leonardi, Chief of Operations for the Kuat Drive Yards. Her Highness, Queen and CEO Darke will be joining us by holocall shortly. Until then, allow me to fill you in one the plan."

The woman swept a hand toward the holoprojected map of the Morossian system, zooming out to encompass that of the Kuat system halfway across the galaxy. A bright red signified the route plotted for the KDY supply and construction ships, upon which a glowing yellow orb showed their current location just off the Hydian Way hyperspace route.

"Our ships have just exited the Hydian Way at Karideph and will be following this plotted course to Ceto. Current readings and intel shows a heightened presence of disunified Vong in the space between here and there, so we're requesting further backup from Moross to guide our ships in. I believe recent reports have shown you have dispatch a small scout team to take care of a recent incident just outside of Ceto. How much more can you spare for the freighters, Aesir?"

Arriving in system on board the Regent with her master, she had remained in her own quarters not wasting any time on trying to get to know any of the crew because she didn’t particularly care about any of them. She didn’t know why she was along for this ride but the instructions had been clear that she was to join her master in system so she didn’t question it. Receiving a new message from her master she noted it included instructions to meet her master at a space station she decided instead to go to meet her master on the bridge where she could sense the older woman.

Stepping out of her quarters clipping her lightsaber to her belt she walked towards the bridge brushing past multiple officers and crew going about their various tasks. Asylen made her way to the bridge and upon reaching it stepped up quietly behind where her master was seated. She remained silent and announced her presence through the force. ~I figured it would be more efficient to meet you here master.~

[member="Crystal"]

Taking a brief moment to glare back at [member="Crystal"] as she once again disobeyed the rules and intruded on her mind. Their relationship was contentious at best but despite this little tiff the two worked well together. She didn’t respond to the threat, there wasn’t any point in doing so because no one on the bridge had heard it and from her point of view it was an idle threat. Siara looked back at the bridge waiting patiently for a report from the hanger bay that the Blade of Kalee was aboard.

“Deimos Vorru the Blade is aboard.” Reported the comm officer.

“Excellent, bring us about towards the nearest pirates nest, I expect they will scramble to intercept us as soon as they see us approaching. Put our pilots on alert and prep the fighters for launch.” Siara ordered. “And as the Crusader instructed identify and mark the locations of the minefields, give them a wide berth but for now leave them intact.”

The crew set to work as the Regent was brought about vectoring towards the nearest pirates base. It didn’t take long before [member="Pyrrha Nikkita"] joined them on the bridge. “Welcome aboard, good to have you along for this one, since I won’t be able to leave the bridge I am going to be relying on you to lead any boarding action we have to undertake. Does that feel like an acceptable use of your talents?”

Looks like I might be leading something anyways. Walking into the bridge, I was hit with a wave of tension that came from the two. Three women all in the same room all wanting to be higher up on the totem pole. Egos were here and running strong. I quenched mine as [member="Siara Vorru"], A Deimos by way of proving herself to be of worth to the Crusade's ideals and path, spoke. Welcoming me, and then handing me a command in the same sentence.

I nodded my head to her. "Nothing wrong with that Deimos Vorru." I was not a person. I was a vessel for my religion, faith, and ability to uphold the values of the Moross Parthenon. Nothing more, nothing less. Nudging my head towards [member="Crystal"], I decided to ask since I would be the one in the battle field. "And where will you be when all of this goes down?"

[member="Pyrrha Nikkita"] [member="Siara Vorru"] [member="Ashra'syle'nuruodo"] [member="Azlyn Ike"]

While she hadn’t intended for her apprentices to be on the bridge staring out the window, she supposed it was easier if they all joined her there. And, they were quiet, which was always nice. When Asylen arrived and spoke in her mind, Crystal nodded to the Chiss but said nothing for the moment. She was there waiting, and they could do the same if they wished to remain on the bridge.

Zoey was aboard, which meant that the games could now begin. Siara put Zoey in charge of the off ship efforts, which delighted Crystal. That meant that she could have all the fun she wanted without the responsibility of the lives of others. She didn’t enjoy leadership roles in potential combat situations anyway.

Her comrade asked where she would be when the fun began. Crystal smiled. “I’ll be enjoying the fireworks of course.” And you know, making some too. But that would be a surprise for later. “Though I’m not sure where the best view will be yet.” And she grinned. Though there had been a rough patch between herself and Zoey when there was training to be done, the Sith had no issues or distaste for Zoey. Yes, they were different, but that didn’t mean she didn’t like the woman. They had always managed to work together after all.
