SPECIAL FEATURES
  • Disable: The IF-U25 releases a shaped ion energy either forward in the form of a cone or around the user in the form of a sphere. The Ion energy is capable of disabling weapons, shields and diffusing explosives among other smarter uses such as shutting down power armors, for example.
Strengths:
  • Close-Quarter: The IF-U25 is incredibly useful and most effective when used in close quarters due to its shorter range.
  • Crowd Control: Shutting down weapons, shields and gear can be very effective in subduing hostile targets, giving advantage to the Ranger such as creating an opening or diffusing with one switch explosive traps. As most contemporary tech tends to be weaker to Ion attacks, the IF-U25 seeks to exploit this weakness giving an edge to the Rangers in combat.
Weaknesses:
  • Short Range: Something not useful in open fields.
  • Reloading: New capacitors take more time to put through the holes into the gadget itself than it is to reload a weapon. A Ranger has eight charges to use wisely.
  • No button: This is not primitive tech but also it is not extremely practical. To activate the charges one either requires some form of technological 'control hub' such as the HUD of a helmet or a wrist device with which the activation of the IF-U25 could be linked. As it is designed for Rangers, this is hardly a weakness but for the sake of use by others, such as Jedi, it is better to be introduced in the weaknesses section of the submission as not to ber missed.
  • Less angles of attack: Can only be fired towards where the tool is facing (usually forward) in the form of a cone or in the form of a sphere around the user.
DESCRIPTION

With the incredible flooding of the market with high-end technology which has been mostly made with the cost of sacrificing protection against Ion energy, the Ranger Engineers have decided to exploit this opportunity for their own ends.

The IF-U25 is a helpful tool with the size of a gem which can be attached to a belt, wrist compartment or any other viable place of an armor. It does not require a button to be activated as its control panel is directly linked with a Ranger's HUD. Upon activation, it releases a shaped Ion energy in the form of a cone forward or in a sphere around the user. To prevent the spherical shape to harm the user's gear, it utilizes a delayed charge.

As a multi-functional type of energy, it can be harmful to anything from weapons to shields to power armors and other things.

I only have one thing I'd like to touch on and then we can slap an approval sticker on this, [member="Amon Vizsla"].

Material: Duraplast, Ion Capacitors
Please remember to link all named materials here. If you could do that, it would be amazing.
