Syn looked upon Iella as the ship came down into the mountains. He breathed in deeply scenting the soup as all was well it seemed he could even feel some of the creatures on the moon but it wasn't too much of a problem. The jedi master moved from the cockpit going towards the mess area while he looked to Elayne speaking with a hand bringing some more of the soups scent to him. "Elayne can you watch and make sure Celtic is safe? We shall return shortly with the nodules that we need. Then we'll need to get to work." Syn looked towards Iella and held his blades letting their weight rest in his palms.

Then he moved towards the cargo bay and bounded down the stairs two at a time, this was the place where he would have to do what was needed. To protect Iella and to ensure they could remain hidden in the galaxy. The taozin was something for them to take and make jewelry from to remain hidden. Then he was setting the ramp down while breathing in the scent of the jungle with fresh mountain air. The faster it was done the faster he could return and leave Republic space. His feet took him down while he wished for Iella to remain behind but knew she wouldn't he would just have to make sure nothing bad happened to her.

Iella followed directly behind Syn, she stood there for a moment, taking in the lush green vegetation, so different to that on Corellia. It is strange that a moon should be so covered in life and to have atmosphere, a true treasure of the galaxy for sure. She could feel the living force in the jungle, the energy pulsing with it. It is only a few yards to the thick jungle, a small clearing enough for her to land the ship is the only area where natural light was not impeded. Once they entered the jungle the atmosphere changed drastically. The light became filtered and soft, the air moist with humidity and the air had a smell of dank rotting wood and vegetation. As her foot fell on the carpet of rotting leaves not sound was made, aiding their hunt for the Taozin.

She did not know much at this creature save for what is in the files, which only told of their hunting habits. She looked around for Syn, he would not be far behind and focused on scenting the beast. Not sure how they where going to remove these nodules as the files indicated that their skin is almost resistant to their blades. She moved into the jungle more, looking around she could hear strange callings of creatures, like a warning signal to others of their presence. High in the tree canopy, she could see them, protesting in a language not understandable, but the tone of their cries made it clear, they did not like them in their territory. One such creature the loudest one, reached behind it's back as if to grab something, and before she realised what the creature was doing, it through it's brown warm bodily substance toward them, before fleeing.

"Syn duck!", she called out in warning of the incoming projectile.

Syn was focused on the scents in the air and in the jungle, Iella near by helped while she stayed downwind until it came. The putrid scent that came from above. The jedi master jumped to the side and rolled while the excrement flew then he reached out flaring his senses and power to sense more of the creatures. It was time to move and he stood up looking at Iella while he tilted his head."Run" The jedi master moved going towards the caves he could feel up ahead. They would have to look deep for the hidden grubs and he let the force guide him inside. The creatures were nearly lightsaber resistant but you didn't always have to use a saber. Sometimes you could just dissect the creatures or just tear the limbs off. Its skin didn't do much if you could rip legs off of it.

She ran behind Syn as they ducked into the thick vegetation to escape the incoming fire. Iella let out a small chuckle as she ran, "I got the feeling they did not like us much". she joked. Soon they where at the entrance of a cave, the light in this area lower as the trees around it thick and not allowing much natural light to filter through the canopy. It smelt more too, even her with her normal sense of smell turned her nose up at it. In fact it was making her stomach heave, which probably had extra reaction due to her condition.

She placed one hand over her mouth and nose to try and stop as much of the smell. However, she could sense life forms in the cave, small and many, but not the Taozin, that was not possible. She looked to Syn and she if she could get a sign from him as to which way. They needed to be quite now, lightsaber not effective against this beast, but it might serve to blind it with the sudden fill of light in the cave chamber. But not yet they still had to find it.

Syn looked at Iella and had to agree as he moved deeper into the cave. The scents would lead him towards the creature and he felt the temperature drop a few degrees. It was getting deeper into the mountain while his voice came to Iella. He rounded a corner and wouldn't realize it was becoming darker from the lack of light. His senses telling him where to go with the force as he pushed it out to briefly pulse against the walls. "Iella, use your senses the shadows should only get worse and we want to have the advantage." Slowly the jedi master breathed deeper getting the scent of moss, of fungus and rot then the creatures. Since they wouldn't bathe normally it was something he could find hopefully while he continued deeper down.

Iella did as Syn suggested and used the force to sense her surrounds more. The light in the cave disappearing fast as they moved and the bleeding light from the entrance all but gone now and Iella could no longer see. Syn had moved a few paces ahead of her, she could feel his presence and she walked toward him. It is an unusual sensation to be without sight, physical sight and she felt uncomfortable and unsure on her feet. Even though she could 'see' through the force, it is still unnerving.

She caught up to him, and placed her hand on his back and grabbed hold of the top part of his trousers. Although she was fine, this was purely a form of comfort. Syn had not known physical sight, born through design without the ability and seeing for him, through the force is natural. For her it is the opposite and maybe she relies to much of physical sight to apprehend a given situation. This is a good lesson for her in more then one way. She realised she needed to use the 'sight' through the force more, as it give a clearer or true picture physical sight can deceive. The second lesson for Iella is she now realises just how Syn moves around the galaxy. He see in a true form, but she could not help but wonder, if he acquired physical sight how he would handle that.

Deeper they proceeded and she followed.

Syn continued deeper until he stopped for a moment. The ground before them had become slick but not with water. He crouched lower feeling Iella holding onto him, his ears listened almost straining for something. The squish squish sound of things scurrying, of things schlicking against the stone brought his attention to the lower depths of a small overhang. His face peered down while the force as he could barely make it out.. There was a void in the force around an area as the scent of mold of rot came. Syn let his fist clench until the knuckles went white crackling emerald lightning. "Prepare yourself, I am going to drop down and smash it."

@[member="Syn"]

She held tight and followed close behind. Iella could sense the life in the cave and focused to see through the force, however that did little to comfort her. Although she had faced one of her fears on Cathar, and fought the Beetle .. a very big beetle. She still disliked them. And this cave is teeming with them. There tiny little legs scurry about making scratchy noises around her. Her ears to moved with the noise, now she was "blind".

She felt Syn stopped for the moment and her feet became unstable on something slippery. She let go of his trousers as he spoke, smash what, drop what? She looked around as if she could see. But nothing. Then she felt it, or rather sensed it. And she dived to the left just in time as something spat a web at her. However, it did hit her legs and they are stuck within the silken sticky web. She kicked her feet trying to get rid of it only getting more tangled. So she reached out and grabbed hold of it trying to rip it off, and of course her hands got stuck. You idiot Iella.

However, the substance felt very nice to the touch .. soft and luxurious. She looked up to see the only source of light, the emerald lightning coming from Syn's fist.

Syn moved to the side opposite Iella as the webbing came, the lightning crackled more casting green light all around but he had a target. For a brief moment he had seen it ever so slightly and now... Now he charged bounding at it and activating the pale blue and silvery blade with a snap hiss. His leap brought him into the side of the taozin as he stabbed, not slashing but stabbing the blade while sounds were heard. Most things lightsaber resistant were just that to a point... Ultrachrome melted eventually with a saber blade next to it and so did nearly all others. Cortosis just overloaded the blade. No here he just stabbed and where his hand was grabbing he sent the lightning to make it dance across the creatures skin.

Iella could see a little now with the help from Syn's blade and his Judgement filling the cave with it's green light. She looked at and saw a huge bug suspended from the roof of the cave, it seemed to be held in place by more of it's sticky web substance. The bug cried in pain as Syn attack. This only served to speed her up to escape the web and help. However, she worked with more purpose as to panic or be to quick would only make you more tangled in the web.

She used the force and pushed it to her arms and hands giving her more strength to pull them free one at a time. Then she worked on getting her legs out. That took a bit longer and she hands pulled away the the web and getting restuck. But eventually she is freed. Stand up now, she ignited her blade, the white brilliance of it filling the cave and blinding the bug. This creature living in the cave for a long time would have grown used to the lack of light and with the sudden explosion of her blade would help to confuse it.

As she did this she contemplated what to do .. to best way to help. She could go and help Syn with her blade as well, but would only further enrage the beast. No, she walked to the front and looked up. Summon the force and opened up to the beast. She connected it through the mind and spend feelings of calm to it. Her hand in front of her directed to the bug, the force traveling along the invisible threads to the creatures mind. She focused more on it telling it to sleep. Using the force to fatigue it and and calm it to sleep. The creature started to surrender, to calm and Iella pushed further .. strengthening the connect and forcing it to sleep. Syn would be able to feel it's body relax. The armour of the beasts skin might be resistant to the blade, force sensitives might not be able to sense it presence, but that did not mean they could not influence it once they are aware of it. And now she had a target that she could reach it with the force.

Syn did feel it, he felt Iella near by and as she reached out to work on calming the beast. He could feel that as well as he kept moving, he climbed up to the sticky webs that were suspending it. His sabers skimmed and slashed at the webs. If she was calming it he could work upon them, the nodules would awaken it and hurt the creature but it was what they needed. The jedi master spoke down that invisible bond between them. Keep it up, it is working Iella. Syn moved getting on the creatures head while he slashed bringing a second blade to activation with a snap hiss and purple blade. He kept slashing into the webs.

@[member="Syn"]

Be careful as it falls, she replied. Not letting her focus drop. She too would do the same thing as she noticed Syn intentions as he climbed up the top of the webbing. She slowly back tracked to make room just in case it fell her way. Her hand fully extended, she pushed to force through her arm and continued to send the calming waves to the beasts mind. Her mind centered on the big creature and she entered it, removing the senses of pain it would feel if it minds was left unguarded from it.

The only thing the bug would feel would be an ache. An interesting thing was happening she noted while using her animal friendship, she seemed to be taking from it, .. draining it of energy, making it tired. That had never happened before, she could control them, calm them, even some of the more larger beasts, but never drained them. But Iella continued her focus on the job, this was not the time for experiment. Syn was in danger and she needed to remain focused. They needed these nodules and she also considered taking some to the web to see if it could be useful.

Syn felt strange on top of the large grub and as he kept slicing into the webbing he pushed to the side with the force to tilt it. To make sure it avoided Iella as it fell. He breathed in deeply letting his blade cut through the webbing while some of it got stuck on his foot. The taozin fell down with a wet crash... He didn't fall with the creature the webbing spit holding his leg in place as he crossed his arms a little. He stared down seeing Iella while the creature was splayed on some rocks but still moved around. The jedi master kept the blade activated while he brought it up to touch his boot to release him.

Then he was falling towards the ground and twisted pushing the force under his feet to slow down and cushion his fall. Syn deactivated the blade clipping it back to his belt while he moved towards Iella. The parts of sticky still on his boot picked up dirt while he crouched down touching the creature. He followed suit like Iella pushing calm to let it die in peace. It was the least he could do for what he was going to take from the creature while its body now seemed to be out before him. He started to search around some of the sections. "Shh it is okay, for what we need I thank you. This sacrifice will not be in vain."

Iella let out a long sigh, as she felt the life force leaving the body of the huge bug. She heard Syn's words and a sad smile turned up the corners of her mouth. She moved over to it, and stood near it's head, still connected to it through the mind. It was not feeling any pain, it was drifting into a deep sleep and she pushed it move until the sleep became evident that is was eternal. She lowered her hand and broke the connection.

"Take your time now, it is dead", she said as she went to sit on a large rock in the cave, quite tired from the connection. Just near her, lay the web that had trapped her before, she pushed off the rock and went to it. Her saber still ignited she could see it clearer now. A beautiful white sparkling silk, or it might have been a trick of the light from her saber .. but either way, it was beautiful. Iella gathered as much as she could and wound it into a ball as best she could, as the web was still very sticky. It would need to be treated but, the treasures from this majestic beast would be ones that they would have to protect and with this silk, Iella would have a dress taylored for Celtic.

Syn gave a nod of agreement while he let the beast drift off, Iella had moved on tot he silk as he started to come away with the pieces they needed. The force in his hands where he looked was gone he couldn't see it but he knew it was there as they did what the old inquisitors did. It was why he had come and now... now he slowly held the pieces letting his hands squeeze the goop off. Necklaces or bracelets would do and it could hide their entire person as it all stood there. The jedi master rose walking towards iella and speaking with a look on his face. "You did well, I could feel what you were doing. Have you ever done that before?"

@[member="Syn"]

I am not sure this was a good idea, she thought as she tried to untangle her hands from the web. Iella had managed to get the stuff to form a ball, but her hands are well and truely stuck. Oh well, she would have to walk back to the ship carrying it this way until she could get Syn to help her.

"Yes I have done this before, I seem to have a natural ability with animal friendship. On Tatooine, when I was Templar, Daxton Bane and I went on a hunting trip together", she smiled at the thought of it now. "The most unlikely of pairs to do such a thing". She laughed at it now. "Odd really, considering his .. "nature", we worked well together, he even said so, but a friend he could never be really. Anyway, we went to find a Krayt Dragon, and into the Jundland Waste we went. We decided that since the dragon's are attracted to the darkside, we would use Daxton as bait. Well .. it worked. Not only did we attract the dragon, he attracted two. One male and one female. A beautiful white dragon she was. Oh we had a great plan worked out, which was promptly forgotten with the sight of them. Daxton took on the male, but I knew even he could not take on two. So I distracted the female and got her to chase me. She had me trapped but I managed to find some large rock to dodge her in, they do not have very good sight, so that part was easy really. But I am not sure what Daxton's motivation was to come on the hunt but for me, it was to get the pearl for my lightsaber. I used my talent, to calm it enough to kill it. It was not easy, as it is a big beast and full of rage, this bug was not so tough". She smiled.

Syn listened to the tale and it wasn't to bad, funny actually and showed some other sides of her. Or at least that she had been skilled even before joining the jedi. That was a great thing it was why he had thought she was wasting her talents in the templars. She had too much for an order of half failed jedi, sith who just wanted to take the easy path and others who were blinded by whatever force was used. It mattered little though in the end and now as he gathered some of the nodules in his hands the jedi master began laying them out enough to see them for his robes which is where he set them and tied under his shoulder. A safe place for them for now and he moved over to Iella smelling the webbing. Its scent faint but there.

"We do have what we need, do you see anything else around the cave that might be useful. All we need is to be able to fashion a few amulets or bracelets for us to hide, then we can go wherever you wish. The galaxy is the limit my love."

@[member="Syn"]

She was going to stroke his cheek with tenderness for his comments, and even raised her hand to do so, only to realise her hands and still stuck to the web. Instead she stretched up on her toes and kissed his lips softly. "Galaxy is only the beginning", she whispered gently. She looked around the cave as best she could, there was nothing there she could see that would be of benefit, they had got what they needed and more so with the silk. If she could just get it off her hands.

"I think we should return to the ship, I have something I need to do", she said looking at the stuff holding her hands captive. Me and my bright ideas, she thought. At this point she was happy Syn could not see her, she doubted he would let her forget it.

As she walked back toward the cave entrance, the fresh air filled the place and she breathed in deep. The smell of the bug and it's waste now behind them, thankfully. They both would need to wash or they would smell out the whole ship. And they had to get past those horrid creatures, throwing .. well their waste. But for Iella, there is a blessing, the fresh air drying out the silk and the reaction removing the stickiness and her hands came free. As she walked she notices the silk transforming into beautiful untreated threads, glistening with the filtered light. She was pleased now she persisted with it.

Her eyes lifted up into the canopy scanning for the creatures.... "Oh by the way... Have I told you today, that I love you?". She said giving him a playful nudge in the ribs as she walked.

The moment in the cave was one of so much enjoyment. He didn't know what to really do but he didn't want it to end just stnading there... but she was in the dark while he could see it all perfectly. Now with a look he scented the air and followed out to the entrance of the cave. So very much would have to be taken care of back at the ship and looking at he path before them where the creatures he could feel were located the jedi master breathed in deeply. Preparing while he checked the bag of stuff then Iella and spoke taking her hand. "No but it is something always wonderful to hear." He smiled and took off towards the ship letting the force wrap around the both of them, letting the current wrap around to cloak them from sight as best they could.

@[member="Syn"]

She laughed softly as they walked hand in hand back to the ship. She just loved being in his company alone, just being themselves, no pretenses here and now, the mantle of the rank and service gone and she relished the moments that she could just .. be. She would give anything to have this moment as a life time, just walking beside him, she would do that anyway, but this moment was more then that, it was a stillness between the two and she let this feeling flow to him unadulterated. Then she heard the sound of flowing water, it is loud and calling to her. Her head turned in that direction and she pulled him along with her as she walked toward it.

Cutting through some heavy undergrowth, pushing back the low lying branches of the thick trees of the jungle, she finally found the source of the water. A small beautiful pool of crystal clear water, the bottom of the pool visible like looking through a glass pain into another world. She could see the stones and water vegetation, small fish like creatures darting around in unison as they did the dance of life. She looked around as her eyes fell on the main reason for the loud noise .. a thin long waterfall, rushing over the top of a rocky outcrop high up the side of a lush green covered cliff face. The water hitting the pool sending up a spray of fine mist in the air and creating the atmosphere of a clouded veil. It is also more warmer here, the humidity high due to the increased moisture of the surroundings. Even though Iella knows Syn does not like water, she wondered if she could entice him to join her for a swim. Besides they needed it, they are very smelly from the bug and the cave.

She raised his hand to her lips and kissed it, before turning his hand and gently straightening his fingers out to kiss the centre of his palm. "I shall take a swim before we go back to the ship and wash my clothes too, it will not take them long to dry in this climate", she said as she put the silk ball down and undressed. One of the things she regrets sometimes is that Syn can not have the pleasure of seeing her .. to see her undress. She would love to be able to do something like that for him one day. But that is a small thing really, there is much more to them then that. And besides, they have other more fun ways to "See", each other.

Iella stood naked now and walked over to the pool. She walked into it until the water lapped around her upper tight before she dived in. She just let the water run over her body as she glided under the water. Her eyes open to see all there and take in the wonder of it.
