    • Though Hyne is crowded, it is not because it is a populous city. It is crowded due to its small size. It probably has about half of only one district from Coronet City for example.

Docks
The docks were where the sea-faring ships and barges came and went. Dozens of small passenger ships came and left every hour due to Hyne’s proximity to several smaller islands and the ring of very small settlements that surrounded it.

Sailor's Row
A string of bars and old shops near the docks. Miranda & Jacobs security teams didn’t patrol this area as it was considered 'too high risk’. Though pirate crews were known to congregate here it was relatively safe, at least to the standards of local Pamarthens, and was the best place in Hyne to get a Port in a Storm.

MJays Towers [Towers Pictured in Header Image]
MJays Towers were a series of buildings and small districts spread around the mountainside of the crater. Exclusive and high-class, MJays Towers attempted to bring a bit of the Core lifestyle to Pamarthe with these posh buildings and office spaces. Workers taking the rail to work required ID badges to get through Vicks Security.

MJays Rail
A complex high-speed rail system that linked MJays towers with one another above the city and linked them to offshore mining and whaling operations. The longest tram took workers 400 Km out to sea to a whaling operation.

Bridges
It was common for many people who lived in the small hamlets and villages that dotted the ring of islands that surrounded Hyne to boat or fly into Hyne. Despite that, there were still some Pamarthens who used the old series of bridges to get from island to island, crossing by foot or on some sort of pack animal, to bring in their goods or just to see the town.

SECURITY: High
A combination of the local Hyne militia and the Miranda & Jacobs mercenary security patrols made Hyne one of the “safest” cities on the planet. Due to the economic troubles of the local Pamarthens though, petty crime was on the rise with off-worlder executive types going as far as to build a new district into the mountains just for them. These towers had state-of-the-art security droids, Vicks mercenary patrols, and ID card systems to keep the rabble out. Hyne itself was lightly policed and patrolled by local militias who watched by air, sea, and foot. These militias also watched the weather for storms and other extremes like hurricanes, tidal waves, and glow storms.

HISTORICAL INFORMATION
Built on one of Pamarthe's largest island chains, Hyne was initially built on the inside walls of a volcanic crater and over time expanded into the crater itself. Protected on all sides from the elements by the high, mountainous walls of the crater, and by the ring of islands around the crater with only two ways in by sea, Hyne was the seat of power in the ancient days of settlement when island Lords warred across the planet. Protected from the elements, the city was allowed to flourish. When a Lord held Hyne they often declared themselves High King of Pamarthe, quelling the bloodshed for a time until a new group of Lords took the city. It was said that thousands of vessels made their final resting place in the waters surrounding Hyne from attempted and successful attacks on the city.

Once a connection to the greater Galaxy was reestablished the city became a hotbed of racing and off-world military work with recruiting stations for dozens of local defense forces and galactic governments making their home in the city. This continues today with recruiting booths from large governments like the First Order, Confederacy of Independent Systems, New Imperial Order, and Galactic Alliance all vying for the attention of promising Pamarthen pilots. Hyne also had a healthy underground, with local pirate gangs and smugglers sometimes even openly trading stolen goods and recruiting fresh blood at local pubs, though it was nowhere near the worst hive of scum and villainy on the planet. Despite the opportunities for high-action gigs, most people that lived in Hyne were either local sailors, fishermen, or captains of various galactic shipping guilds. There was a strong and solid working class that helped one another throughout hard times like the Gulag Plague and the Great Vanishing. However, in recent years the traditional working class has begun to collapse under the influence of Miranda & Jacobs {MJays}, a mining conglomerate that has taken a liking to Pamarthe. Under their influence and building, the industries of whaling and mining had gone up with their machines and practices destroying the way of life of fishers and sailors across the planet. In Hyne many old family fisheries and other family businesses that had been around for generations have hemorrhaged workers to MJays and have been forced to shut down. The water around the city had also been more polluted than in decades past.

The rise of MJays in Hyne also brought with it a series of improvements such as updated water trolley systems, taller buildings, more infrastructure built into the mountains surrounding the city, and an influx of non-native Pamarthens, both posh and working-class, brought in to supervise and work the various mines they had on the planet. It was not an understatement to say that if anything happened in Hyne that MJays knew about it.
