- Very powerful blasts: As the gun attached to the HHB-1B an assault rifle, as long as it is not on the automatic firing setting, this rifle's shots are able to rip through reinforced durasteel plating of up to half an inch thick with relative ease.
- Carbonite coating makes this a useful assault weapon for surprise tactics as it effectively lowers the heatsignature of the attached rifle while firing.
- Increased Recoil: Compared to just using a NZ-PBR.445 normally the recoil is a lot more even when in automatic mode.
- Heavy: As with the other HHB variants the IB variant is heavy slowing down its user
- Wishy washy: Albeit a useful gun in manual modus, when automatic setting is engaged, it'll burn through its ammunition pretty fast and will sacrifice both range and overall power.
Part of the plan to expand the Unbound Diarchy Droid Army Lord Mettallum needed weapons for the front line droids that would help them hold the line against the potential foes they would face on the battle field. As with many great leaders Lord Mettallum thought why not just attach a gun to a halberd or spear and be done with it and so the initial concept of the Hybrid Halberd Blaster was born. The IB variant focuses on the versatility granted by NZ-PBR.445 with its two separate modes allowing the user to both defend against opponents from a distance and provide suppressive fire against closer enemies before chopping them down in melee.
