Hssiss Hunt

Ghrom Xenos
Planet: Ambria
Location: Lake Natth
Objective: Collect/Hunt Hssiss


Ghrom landed Had been searching for a Hssiss all week. Hunting one he saw on Day One. Ghrom tracked the Beast loosely to Lake Natth. The Lake had great history behind it and Ghrom could feel the darkside presance their. Ghrom was 9'8ft and weighed half a ton. A large Amani Warrior. He carried a 7ft sniper rifle that almost looked like a Cannon and holstered a Scatter blast pistol around his Torso. Apon his back where hunting spears he had made prior to arrival and his tribal Loremaster staff. Ghrom was careful by the lake and was Sharp in his Instincts he knew his tracking skills were right. But he saw no Hssiss so far. Takeing out some meat from a big pouch in his chest bandolier he threw it in front of some bushes and crouched down to wait. Ghrom was roughly 8ft away and his skin matched the desertish planet kindly. Hearing a noise behind him Ghrom points his Large rifle behind him only to see nothing and says " Ghrom..?"

Mrrew stepped out of the large but dying bushes behind Ghrom, holding a large Chiru rifle with both hands. He'd showed up a bit late on the hunt, but he'd showed up nontheless. He had to make sure this went well, as the first contratc with Pharmatech. Not that he didn't trust the... slug... worm... thingy... in front of him, but nontheless he had to supervise. Mrrew glanced down at the massive rifle the Anolid pointed at him, and frowned, before slowly glancing up to the hunter under his employ.

"You're hunting Hssiss. Not Togorians."

Ghrom looked down at his Rifle and frowned. It was the only one he had. Ghrom then looked at [member="Mrrew"] and smiled " Me is Ghrom...mmm" Ghroms vocab was limited but he managed to gesture that the rifle was the only one he owned by padding it lightly. Ghrom looking down at the giant Cat guy signaled by point to the bait. Ghrom was not sure if it would work 100% cause Hssiss are pretty darn smart but it was worth a try for him.

Mrrew blinked rapidly as the worm-like man spoke in broken basic. Fantastic, out of all the hunters in the world, he's stuck with the one that can't speak. The Togorian shook his head, and glanced over at the giant hunk of meat he'd left on the ground. This was his plan...? Hope extremely smart lizards known to be pets to fething sith fall for the bait? Mrrew shook his head, and turned back towards the anolid before him, and then to the rifle.

"We're supposed to be capturing Hssiss.... not killing them..."

Ghrom was embarressed but he had done his before. He never killed his target only wounded it wasnt that ok? Ghrom whimpered at [member="Mrrew"] and wined about how his tactic's would be ok for the moment. But thet both didnt know that the Single Hssiss was near and it was no longer alone it had 3 other buddies. Ghrom looked back at his poorly placed bait and waited. " I is Ghrom!" he said holding his rifle and petting his hide of bantha on his shoulder. This maybe suggested he want to kill one for its hide? skin it and keep it for himself? It was impossible to tell what he really said but the basic idea was given.

Mrrew blinked at the speech impaired alien, and frowned. What the feth was this guy saying? Maybe he should start implementing interviews for his hunters.... How could this guy even read the job contract if he only knew three words? The Togorian was about to speak, when his ears suddenly flicked, hearing the smallest amount of noise behind him. "Oh, kriff."

One of the massive iguana-like lizards leaped out of it's cover behind the rocks, tackling Mrrew to the ground. Only his katarn leather vest prevented the beast's claws from ripping in to his chest, before the Togorian whacked the lizards in the face with teh butt of his rifle. Meanwhile, the other three began to circle [member="Ghrom Xenos"]. Looked like the bait worked to well...

Ghrom laughed slightly seeing the Togorian get tackled and fight the Hssiss, Ghrom was smart after all or so he thought. Turning around Ghrom realized that there where three others and they had their prey in front of them bait was quickly eaten in seconds and now they looked at Ghrom. Ghrom no sure what to aims he massive rifle at one firing at its legs. Ghrom forgetting he had heavy Blaster ammo in from his last bounty wines as it takes off the creatures legs. " Mmmmmmmmm!..." Ghrom blurted out as one of the Hssiss leaped at him. Luckily Amani had very long and powerful arms so this keep it off him but the Hssiss wiggled alot and was spikey Ghrom would have to let go sometime. But hey atleast one Hssiss has only two legs on each side.

Meanwhile, Mrrew flung himself in to a standing position, as the Hssiss he was fighting scrambled to it's feet. Mrrew didn't have time to aim his Chiru rifle, the lizard pounced at him again. Mrrew swung his cybernetic arm upwards as the lizard flew at him, and the lizard was hit with a durasteel fist. It slammed off teh ground while Mrrew stumbled back, suprised that that had actually worked... The stunned dragon quickly pounced to his legs, and snarled at the Togorian, who only repsonded by raising his Chiru rifle. The Dragon ran forwards again, and Mrrew fired, sending the sepcilized dart flying ahead to meet the charging Hssiss. The dart wedged itself in to the lizard's shoulder, who instantly reered off course his charge, stumbling druckenly. The Togorian, panting in exghaustion, watched in suprise as the Hssiss keeled over into unconciousness from the effects of the tranqulizer. "Well... that worked pretty kriffing good..."

The togorian slowly turned, looking to the other three massive lizards attacking his employee. "Oh, right. More of the fethers."
He loaded another dart into his rifle.

The Hssiss in the Amani's grip wiggled viciously, Ghrom knew the Contract and seeing how his partner had taken one down and Ghrom had seriously wounded another. Only two were left for capture and one was circling Ghrom as the other was in Ghroms grasp. Ghrom getting slightly angry threw the Dragon in his grip against a rock. This didnt do much and it only made Ghrom loose his grip and let go of his Hssiss. Ghrom frowned and drew his staff from his back smacking hit in the face. This only made it more angry and caused it to leap at Ghrom. Ghrom holding his staff up wined again holding the giant Lizard. Ghrom did not like the Lizard chewing on his Giant wooden staff, it was taking alot of damage and would of broke if not for its extreme thickness. Ghrom looked at [member="Mrrew"] i Giant cat his small red eyes connected to the Large Cats and Ghrom spinned making the Lizard's back face [member="Mrrew"].

" Me is Ggghroommmm!' Now only a fool would not understand what Ghrom was trying to do now. It was set up almost perfectly.

Well what do you know. The worm wasn't that bad. All in the time that Mrrew loaded his chiru rifle with another tranqulizer dart, thw worm had whacked one lizard in the face, flung another, and then held up one of the wrigglings things for a perfect shot. Mrrew was only to happy to oblige, raising his chiru rifle for a perfect shot to the lizard's armored back. The dart flung itself from the rifle's barrel as he pulled the trigger, puncturing the armored hide of the lizard to deliver the potent tranqulizer in to the creature's bloodstream. Seconds after the dart hit, the beast stopped wriggling in [member="Ghrom Xenos"]'s arms, and fell limp. The Togorian quickly dropped a hand to the poutch of darts at his belt, to begin loading up the rifle again, staying a safe distance back so that the Hssiss would hopefully stalk the Amani rather then him, while he loaded.

"Remind me to pay you extra."

Ghrom smiled and looked at the big Cat. This went well the job was done basicly and the rest were taken.. Ghrom Froze he had forgot about the last one behind him. Looking around he suddenly jumped being bit on the tail by the Hssiss. " ME IS GHROMMM!" he shouted as it started to thrash around ripping it up. The Amani seemed only to cry and wimper more, no screams of the pain. There was a bloody green mess all over the dirt. Ghrom swung the Hssiss against a rock and shed his tail leaving the big Lizard with a piece of meat. Ghrom now angry takes a spear from his back and jabbing it in the Dragons eye. What happen next was little disturbing, The enraged Amani picking up the wounded creature head first so you wouldnt bite him. Ghrom smiled showing layers of daggerlike teeth and started biting the Dragons head quickly killing it. The Amani threw the Dragon on the ground having an odd look of bloodlust in his eyes. The creatures brain was gone and the Amani hunter just swallowed!? Meanwhile the wounded Hssiss in the background dragged himself in circles, having only two legs made the last Hssiss very upset.

Mrrew quickly raised his Chiru rifle as the lizard attacked the other hunter, readying to fire... But paused, suddenly, as he saw the Amani grab the lizard by the shoulders... and start eating his head. He started. Eating. His. Kriffing. Head. The Togorian just stood there and watched, slowly lowering his rifle, with his mouth agape. H- He... he ate.... the dragon's.... fething.... head..... Mrrew just stared at the Amani, until the wounded Hssiss crawled over to the Togorian, whining. Mrrew glanced down at the dying creature, and just whacked it upside teh head with the butt of his rifle. That quieted it. Afterwards, he slowly glanced back up at the Amani... then to the two Hssiss that laid on the ground around him.

"Well...." He slowly glanced over to Ghrom. "Hello, crazy worm monster." He held out a clawed hand. "I is Mrrew."

Ghrom smiled at Mrrew with a bloody mouth. And instead of speak using me Ghrom Said proudly " I am Ghrom." I could of been the eating that made his smarter or was this an act? I didnt matter the mission was done now. Ghrom extended his giant hand shaking [member="Mrrew"]'s. This Mission went well but Ghrom needed one more thing. Looking at the crippled dragon the Amani took used his spear at hand and jabbed it into the Dragons back scaly Hide, This should make excellent armor he thought. The Hide was spikey and hard, throwing it over his shoulder Ghrom looked back at [member="Mrrew"] looking at him in Question with his small red eyes.

" What do?" Ghrom asked.

Mrrew smiled slightly at the Amani. Did he just learn two more words? Didn't matter. The Togorian dropped a large hand to his belt, and removed his comlink. He smiled, typing in the signal number that he's been given by Pharmatech, and spoke in to the device.

"Your Hssiss order is complete. The coordinates are attached to this signal, come to pick up your order. Two sedated and unharmed Hssiss."

The Togorian glanced to the headless dragon on the ground, and added as an afterthought;

"And a dead one, if your people have a use for it."

Afterwards, he hung up, and turned towards Ghrom with a smile.

"When we get back to headquarters, you'll recieve your pay. You did.... suprisingly good."

Mrrew glanced at the hide he'd slung over his shoulder, and nodded. "You've earned that."

The Beast Hunters Guild would be payed the agreed upon credits, plus a bonus for the deceased Hssiss as well as twenty SmartTranq loaded Ballistic Syringes. Additionally there would be a note left with the box of tranquilizers.


"Know we still have a bit of a backlog on orders, but another job we'd like done when you have the time is to capture a few Dianogas. At least one fully grown and one as early in it's life cycle as you can manage to find. Of course additional samples will illicit additional payment. Thanks for the work you do.
