Detail

  • Got It Together: Excellent close-range accuracy, brought about by its rugged construction and vibration-and recoil-mitigation enables tight shot groups every time.
  • Quiet On the Set: Built-in sound suppressor curtails loud noise when fired, enabling it to be used quietly and preventing hearing loss and damage when fired in constrict areas.
  • Select Fire: Three firing modes include semi-automatic, three-round burst, and full-auto, allowing the weapon to be adapted for mission and situational necessity.
STRENGTHS:
  • That’s Gonna Leave a Mark: The potency of this weapon, its naturally compact size and relative lightweight construction, and its accuracy at close-range makes this an excellent choice for close-quarters battle, where space is at a premium and intensity is much higher. Perfect for clearing corridors and searching tunnels, room-to-room fighting, and urban warfare, what is most impressive here is the sheer stopping power of this weapon. Able to slice through lightly armored foes with relative ease, and to concentrate a lot of firepower in a very small area, it can even penetrate through conventional barriers such as walls, fences, and the like at close-range and provided those barriers are not using some special material and they lack any sort of extra reinforcement or shielding.

WEAKNESSES:
  • Shaky Ain’t the Word: The compact size and relative high rate of fire of submachineguns makes them inclined to greater-than-average recoil and ‘rattling’ which can affect accuracy when fired in bursts or sustained fire. To mitigate this, special materials and design elements, such as a shock-absorbing stock and slightly lowered rate of fire, were used in the weapon’s planning stages, however they proved only slight improvements. As a result, the weapon’s still got a bit of recoil to it, meaning that at greater ranges the accuracy drops off notably. For close-in engagements, it’s fine, but as one becomes further withdrawn from one’s target, the accuracy declines sharply, making it utterly useless at more than 100m.

DESCRIPTION

dovydas-budrys-ppt2.jpg

Designed as a reserve weapon for snipers or heavy gunners, or for those troops and officers working in constricted, close-quarters situations such as breaching, boarding, urban warfare, and the like, the “Hornet” is a tough weapon for a tough job. Compact and lightweight compared to full-size battle rifles, it can offer truly destructive firepower matched with great accuracy and reliability at close-ranges. However, upon drawing back or when fighting across large battlefields, the “Hornet” loses its potency, becoming much less accurate and notably less powerful over distance. Yet, it is perfectly-suited for law enforcement officers, urban commandos, space marines, and as a secondary weapon for more specialized personnel. It is also a popular choice for criminals and their ilk, seeking a smaller, tough, and fearsome weapon for their arsenal and nefarious activities.
