How to Upload Pictures?

As the title suggests, I'd like to know how to get pictures to insert from the 'my media' tab when I'm writing, as copy and paste doesn't work for pictures not directly from the internet for whatever reason. In the tab, it says I have to upload pictures to insert. How does one do that?

[member="Mark Sage"] - Best bet is to upload your pictures to an image hosting site, like photobucket, imgur or tinypic. That way you can just copy-paste them into posts.
