Being multilingual to one extent or another in day-to-day life is baked right into Star Wars since the original films. The ABBR tag for hover text is one common way to render other languages, and there's plenty more.

How many languages does your character know well? Anyone else writing serious polyglots? What do they speak?

Despite the fact that she’s a Senator, I’m pretty sure Sycorax only speaks Basic. The native tongue of her homeworld is considered a dead language, I can’t see her bothering to learn Binary or Huttese, and she probably always has a translator on hand anyway.

Without comprehend speech, Carnifex is pretty fluent in:

• Epicant
• ur-Kittat (Including various dialects)
• Mando'a
• Binary
• Huttese

These are the ones I can think of off the top of my head.

I lean on Comprehend Speech for Valery being able to understand a lot of language. But actually speaking them...

• Basic
• Huttese from her time as a Jedi Shadow
• Droid speech, so she can communicate with her little buddy BB-610
• Baby/Toddler babbling. She's a Mama
