- Description: The House of Marek is an ancient noble house of Human origin. It functions as both a familial organisation, and government in the areas it controls.
GEOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION
- Headquarters: Grizmallt
- Realm: [HQ] Grizmallt, Naboo
- Domain: The House of Marek is in control of the planet Grizmallt, as well as the cities of Moenia and Vis on Naboo. The Lord of House Marek has held the position of Monarch on Grizmallt for many years, and maintains a good reputation with the planet's population. This is due to historical aid and ties to the people, guidance, and frequent interaction. On Naboo, Moenia and Vis are also long-held areas, again held by the head of the House of Marek. As many of the Humans on Naboo have had relations with the house for many years, since the colonization of the planet, these areas do not have conflicting claims to ownership.

SOCIAL INFORMATION
- Hierarchy: The leader of House Marek is named the "Lord" of the house. Underneath them are two "Viziers", one for the planet of Grizmallt, and one for the territories on Naboo. These are traditionally ceremonial, but advise the Lord and get involved in the day-to-day running of their respective places. In descending order, the following ranks are: Knight-Commander, Knight-Captain, Knight-Lieutenant, Knight-Companion and Member.
- Membership: There are many Members of the House of Marek, as one of the main requirements is merely to have a residence or investment of some degree in the house's territories. Exemptions are also given by the house for prospective Members who do not fit all of the requirements. An oath of allegiance to the house must be taken in order to be made a full Member. Missions and tasks that benefit the house are available to both Members and non-Members, resulting in decent pay. These missions, however, and demonstration of competence and dedication to the house can result in being granted a higher rank, or a position within the house territories. Inter-marriage is unrestricted, as long as the member marrying in agrees to take an oath towards the house. They do not have to be a Member if they do not wish, however.
- Influence: The House of Marek has major influences in the aforementioned territories of Grizmallt, Moenia and Vis, as well as a large influence on Naboo as a whole, due to their long history. Actions by people within House Marek in service to mainly light-sided factions, and positions held within them has meant they generally have a very good reputation with such factions.
- Climate: Generally a Naboo noble feel, with an attempt to be friendly and welcoming, however still serious in how they conduct themselves. It is not necessarily seen as a path to perfection as such, but simply a way of living, especially in the territories of the house. The values of the house are believed to improve the individual.
- Reputation: On Grizmallt and Naboo, most see the House of Marek in a positive light. They are believed by a few to be trouble makers due to their support of light-sided factions and rebellions, however this is ultimately seen as a positive aspect of the house by most. Due to their support of such factions, they are also seen in a positive light by them.
- Rules: As a familial organisation, trust and good treatment of other house members is seen as very important. Involvement with groups associated with Sith, or related types, is often highly frowned upon, and even disrespectful to the history of the house. The values of the house are similar to that of the newly re-established Jedi Order around the time of the Alliance to Restore the Republic.
- Doctrines: As mentioned, the values of fair treatment between family members are important, but often taught are the teaching and philosophies of various Jedi organisations throughout history. The leaders of the house do not see force sensitivity as a requirement to benefit from these teachings, and believe it can bring peace and clarity to any who follow these teachings.
- Goals: The main goal of the House of Marek is currently to maintain a quality of life for those within it's territories, and especially to bolster and achieve the goals of the light-sided factions they support. A peaceful existence away from, and the potential destruction of Sith and empire-driven groups is a high priority.

HISTORICAL INFORMATION
The House of Marek is a long-standing noble house, originating from the core world of Grizmallt. The exact details of their foundation are not completely known, partly due to how distant ago it was. Despite the hostility they occasionally attain by supporting causes they deem worthy, they have lasted throughout many conflicts until the present.
The house gained prominence during the Alsakan Conflicts, when they supported the claim of Coruscant instead of Alsakan, unlike many of their fellow houses, to be the capital world for the Galactic Republic. Their support, and the ultimate victory of Coruscant, led to terms favoring further power being granted to them and other houses who supported the planet in the war. Among these included a larger area of granted land, and a place in the Galactic Republic.
Additionally, among the initial colonists who would go on the Grizmallt journey that would eventually colonize Naboo, were members of the House of Marek. This occurrence has since been used as a justification for the legitimacy of their house on Naboo, being able to trace their lineage thousands of years into the past.
Consolidating their power until the rise of the first Galactic Empire, Marek members from Naboo soon became worrysome about the rising powers and apparent abuse that was exerted over them. House Marek became one of the founding and instrumental forces in the foundation of the Rebellion against the Empire, being influenced by one of their own who they discovered had survived being orphaned from two Jedi during the purges.
House of Marek members from Grizmallt were more difficult to convince, and preferred to deal with the Empire by cooperating and hoping for a peaceful outcome. However, they too were eventually persuaded in the need for resistance.
The Gulag Virus, like with many other beings in the galaxy, caused death and destruction to the House of Marek. However, one difference between them and many other houses resulted in a path that would lead to their dominance over Grizmallt. Deciding in not just isolation from the galaxy, but also isolation from everyone else on the planet, many noble houses closed themselves off to all others living on Grizmallt. The House of Marek, along with a few others, cooperated as equals to do what they could for the people. The kindness that these houses showed on others led to, surprisingly for them, a continued respect that lasts until now. Among the rulers of the planet, and government positions, members of these few houses still dominate, with the House of Marek currently ruling the planet.
