  • m9iV36K.png
  • Combat Function: Let loose on the battlefield, they cause Mass Chaos, assassinating high value or otherwise public targets and destroying symbolic positions in horrible ways to cause damage to morale. They have a deep level of sadism to their enemies yet are unfailingly polite and disturbingly jovial to their allies, and are regarded as violently homicidal even by Model 1 Nuetralizers. Almost no low is too low to sink to to cause as much chaos for the enemy as possible, and are devastating against squads of lesser troops
  • Force Abilities (Force User Units Only): None
Strengths:
  • Chaos Agent: Undergoing choice cybernetic Enhancement, and intense tutoring by The Parliament, these deadly warriors are then unleashed to sow total havoc on the battlefield through grisly acts and horrifying sabotage. If the enemy has a plan, it is almost a surefire bet that the Death Instructor can and will screw it up if they discover a flaw in it. They can devastate scores and scores of lesser warriors through cruel, yet artful slaying, their knife work looking almost effortless. They are also capable of using virtually any modern infantry level ranged weapon or explosive with unsettling skill, in addition to also being Master Poisoners, and can use them to craft horrifying booby-traps for single individuals, subjecting them to a painful, humiliating demise while their comrades can often only watch, possibly helpless to prevent whatever sick thing the Death Instructor set in motion unless very quick thinking is utilized (It must however be emphasized that the Booby-Traps of Death Instructors are extraordinarily difficult to break out of or sabotage from the outside). Entire regiments may be under threat from the actions of a single Instructor, especially when they resort to poisons
  • Sneaky: Death Instructors have a terrifying penchant for being able to sneak their way into even the most secure facility or camp undetected. They can use disguises to get close to their target and can look like almost any ordinary person.
  • Murder Mentor: When not on mission, Death Instructors function as a traveling group of performers across Khemost, theaters being their main venue, where they perform comical, disguised versions of their many varying techniques for killing that nonetheless subconsciously teach those who watch them how execute those same techniques. They also provide one on one instruction for talented individuals who request it. They also possess an unusually extreme resistance to torture and interrogation techniques, able to frustrate even the most skilled of these disciplines, including those able to use telepathy to try and forcibly rip out information. They are hardcore enough to potentially fight some of the most advanced Nuetralizers in House Io or the most specially trained SF units in other factions to a stand still.
Weaknesses:
  • Not rated for Force Users: These killers are rated only to go after non Force Sensitives, and can have immense trouble defeating one on their own
  • Glass Cannon: They wear only light armor, making them quick, but also very vulnerable to injury if a mistake is made
  • Addicted to psychopathy: They love killing in loud, bombastic, and spectacular ways, and often eschew simpler methods of killing if it's not flashy or painful, leading to a complexity addiction that may occasionally spoil their attempts to exfiltrate if they chose a particularly loud method of killing, making it more difficult to escape, and sometimes easier to predict in terms of death traps they set up. In other words, they can sneak in easy, but it's escape that becomes the problem...though they are admittedly more than capable of killing their way back out while heavily outnumbered, nevertheless, this is a significant flaw in their strategy unless the goal is to deliberately distract. Some eschew any attempt at stealth altogether, but this makes their job significantly harder. This also plays into their more elaborate booby-traps: Often it requires an impractical amount of prep time, and often even the Death Instructor will acknowledge it's easier to use a simpler method, if no less cruel and insane.
  • Not sword fighters: They favor knife type weapons and agility at close range, meaning a sufficiently skilled swordfighter can cut them down with enough time and effort.
  • Few in number: It takes a long time for a House Citizen to get this insane, and a longer time still to train them to take advantage of it. Losing one instructor can be a great blow to the organization. Often only one will be deployed in the field, and only for the most trying of assignments, and as skilled and brutal as they are, and as spectacular as they prefer their kills, even they must use occasional discretion, lest sheer numbers do what smaller, more skilled units cannot
  • Ion/electricity: Their cybernetic implants grant numerous physical advantages, but also make them vulnerable to Ion and Electricity attacks
  • Enclosed spaces: They have the same weakness of Ataru fighters...too little space greatly hampers their fighting style, at close or long range
HISTORICAL INFORMATION

Death Instructors are among the most murderous warriors of House Io, favoring the infliction of spectacular, ugly demise upon House enemies. While safe for House Citizens to be around (they are disturbingly affable and jovial to allies even while behaving gruesomely to enemies at the same time), they are so feared for their psychotic cruelty to victims they are often more comfortable amongst Brain Demon Cultists than regular citizens, and even Model 1 Nuetralizers, among the first and most vicious of Laertia's sons, balk at some of their murderous methods. Many are selected from citizens who were driven insane by events at the battle of Tython, but many more are selected from House Citizens predisposed to sociopathic/psychopathic tendencies. Long searches for the next Death Instructors who meet precise needs are almost unceasing, and the results are very few, but those who succeed, are among the most dangerous killing machines on the battlefield, and even the most hardened SF vet teams are at extreme risk encountering these lethally skilled and often solitary warriors
