Hot Shots- Mandalore Clans (PM for Invite)

She looked to her husband and listened, combat Sim eh, this was gonna be fun and the wager he sat along with what was required, no tech huh she could show off a bit. However the last part made her give a look to hik before she huffed as she shook her head and laughed, damn her husband and his flirting probably making the poor girl uneasy

She looked to her and gave a smile " you may call me star yes so long as firefly is OK with you" she said as she grabbed a cloth and reached to the back of her head, with a audible click she moved her hand back producing a inch by inch chip, her eyes went white as she slipped the chip in a pocket on her and tied the cloth around her eyes" since I can't do this with tech I must go blind...should give a advantage...maybe you two haven't seen me shoot blind yet

Gray watched as [member="Phislo Bress"] eyed him after his flirty comment. He could feel the flurry of emotions she was feeling right now, but even if he couldn't it was obvious in her gaze. He just gave her another wink with that impish smirk. He was going to have fun with this one it seemed, so long as he didn't push his luck too far and his wife killed him for teasing her too much. She knew he was completely loyal even if he did flirt playfully with other women, so it would be more about her protecting the poor girl's tender young heart from the jaws of the wolf. He saw she had liked his suggestion as well and had taken his wager.

Gray had caught that look from his wife, and just raised both his eyebrows in mock fear before winking at her. He then burst out in laughter as she took out her sight chip. He had forgotten about the thing completely when he made that no tech rule. He finished laughing after a few moments then said, " Beautiful the no tech rule doesn't include your eyes. Put it back in and let us have a look at those pretty peepers again." He walked over to her and kissed her cheek. She was goofy at times, but he really wasn't the guy who should be saying that. He then turned to address Phislo again. He said, " Alright so seems everyone is on board. How about you press the button and we get things going. I am ready to win me a 'Firefly'" He winked to her with that smirk again. Should be a lot of fun.

"Let's do it!", Phislo said excitedly as she pressed the button for the combat simulator. The button hologram chirped excitedly and brought up a selection of missions in the next screen as on the range Durasteel walls slowly dragged themselves up from the ground covering the range of targets in walls arranged in an unknown pattern to the three. After a few minutes of mechanical whirring and creaking the entire newly formed course ran silent.

A synthetic voice of a generic adult male sounded over the livespeaker: "Rules: Select one of the missions from the list and the holotargets will follow your selected mission behavior patterns. This course will grade your abilities in combat on several important statistics as follows: accuracy percentage, speed, hits taken, enemies downed, shots missed, shots hit, reaction time, and, if friendly targets are enabled, friendly fire. At the end of your run they will all be tallied into a final grade on a scale of 1 to 1000 points. All participants will run the course and reach the objective at the end of the facility as quickly as possible while also engaging and downing targets at preset locations as quickly and efficiently as possible. Your group has not selected a preset time for this mission so time to reach the objective is unlimited. You should still endeavor to reach it in a reasonable time or it will reflect poorly on your final evaluation. This simulation contains realistic lights and sounds to simulate combat stress but cannot harm any participant in the mission. If you get hit it will be registered on your final report. Please observe and practice all safety and maintenance guidelines concerning your personal weapons for use in this exercise.

To begin the exercise make sure that the first participant is at the entrance and ready to engage. When the participant is ready select a mission from the console and press "Confirm" to lock your selection in. An alarm will sound signaling any in the range to cease fire with all weapons and stand clear behind the lines of the designated safe zone on the floor of the firing range. After that a countdown timer will begin and signal the start of the mission after a five second countdown. When the mission is complete a second alarm will sound signaling the end of the mission and inform the participant to disengage and holster their weapon.

Please select your mission:

Time Trial: Moved through the facility to a number of preset stations and engage the target(s) at each station as quickly as possible. Each station will be marked with a red light notifying you to stop and engage the targets. When all targets are eliminated the red light will flash green and notify you to move to the next station in the facility. You will lose points if you finish without engaging a station, leave enemy targets standing, or get hit.

Infiltration: Enemies will not be aware of your presence until you open fire or are spotted. Reach the objective at the end of the facility as quickly as possible staying undetected as long as possible and eliminating the least amount of targets as possible. You will lose points if you are detected, eliminate too many targets, are hit, or fail to reach the objective in time if a time limit is imposed.

Assault: Enemies will be prepared for you to arrive. Break through their defenses and reach the goal at the end of the facility as quickly as possible eliminating enemy targets as possible. You will lose points if you are hit, if an enemy successfully flanks you, or if time runs out if a time limit is imposed.

Horde (not available without time limit): You will be locked in a limited area with multiple ways to be attacked. Enemies will respawn endlessly. Survive until the time limit or eliminate as many enemies as possible before sustaining three hits. When you sustain three hits from the enemy or you time limit runs out your mission is over.

Last Stand: You will be locked in a limited area with multiple ways to be attacked. Enemies will respawn endlessly. Survive as long as possible and eliminate as many enemies as possible before sustaining three hits. When you sustain three hits from the enemy your game is over.

"All of these look fun but for this I think Time Trial is best.", Phislo remarked as flipped her pistol into her holster and selected "Time Trial" from the menu. The "Confirm" button popped up on the screen and she walked away grabbing her helmet where she had left it on the ground and smoothed her hair out before putting it on. The helmet was only recently bought but something about it felt like she had had it for generations. It's weight felt right for her. Her brown and green patterned armor shined the light of the sun off of it and she felt...

Giddy? Awesome? Battle hardened? Whatever it is it felt great.

Phislo walked to the entrance of the firing range's hastily crafted "facility" for the exercise. "Last chance to back out Star! Gray! Or hit the button if you're prepared to be humiliated by a rookie!", she taunted to the two of them. It was purely a bit of trash talk from her excitement and she was really eager to find out what the two could do that she couldn't. Looking at the entrance she awaited the starting countdown.

Stardust gave a smile as she slid her chip back in and kissed grays cheek, she blinked as her vision came back and she looked around to make sure everything worked, after confirming she stood and listened to the rules and choices before smiling to [member="Phislo Bress"] as she selected time trial and went to enter

She could feel the excitement coming off of her and gave a nod as she stood to watched her, she looked to FL gray as she trash talked and gave a laugh" knock em dead firefly! I wanna see what you can do!

Gray listened to the computer in charge of the simulations begin to speak after the range roughly arranged itself to be ready for the chosen one. It spouted off the details of each that included the actions being taken as well as scoring system for it. They all seemed fairly game like in how they were set up. He could honestly say he couldn't think of a time you really could do what it wanted you to do something that wasn't realistically like real combat....aside from the stealth one that was. It was fairly accurate to real stealth operations from the sounds of it, aside from the fact in reality if you got caught once there was no chance they wouldn't keep looking for you afterwards.

Gray began to adjust his pistol in his left hand and get himself into the right feel for using it in his secondary hand, even if his primary was currently worse due to the trial. As he did this, [member="Phislo Bress"] made her suggestion of the time trial being her pick and gave a little taunt. He smirked as she finished and his wife [member="Stardust Raxis"] made her own reply. Seemed this little game of theirs was going to be a bit of good fun with two spirited ladies. He was just going to have to be a gentleman and show them both up so he could win the prize here. He said as he readied his pistol, " I'm ready and willing to get started. But don't forget ladies, men always finish first when getting sweaty with a lady." He then winked at the two of them and chuckled afterwards. This should be interesting to see how everyone faired in the match.

Phislo shrugged and rolled her eyes at Gray's sophomoric humor. It was something she was completely unprepared for and caught her a bit off guard. So much that she actually started to break down laughing.

"Heh, heh.", Phislo let out as she quickly looked down and put her pistol away into its holster. The nerve of this man! Making jokes like that to an impressionable young woman and in front of his wife as well! She found it hysterical! Phislo looked down in a bit of embarrassment as the laughter let out.

"Oh, oh, you.", she said after calming down a bit. Phislo slowly drew out her pistol as the warning siren sounded and the voice commanded all to clear the firing range. She cracked a half-smile half-smirk. It's time to fire back one joke with another. "Just remember A'lor, for this game there's no first place if you get tired 30 seconds in!"

Congratulations A'lor. You have driven me to your level of flirtatious immature jokes.

Phislo readied herself with her pistol up and in both hands beside her head. The countdown loomed.

"5. 4. 3. 2. 1.", the voice counted and then a long beep sounded signaling the start.

Phislo shot forward with all her might and started running through the corridors. At the end of a long hallway she turned right and saw the red light to her left signaling the first area to engage targets. She rounded the corner and stepped into a large square room with three targets and a few pieces of cover. The holographic targets of generic indistinct soldiers started firing on her position and she quickly popped up to fire at one and missed. She then took a short time to steady herself and wait for a break in fire. Popping up again she quickly fired three shots at a target and blasted its torso up to the neck. The second target took a shot to the arm and torso and two shots whizzed by her head. Popping up again the last target had moved from where she last tracked. The short travel from right to left cost her time as a bolt from the enemy struck her right shoulder.

Argh, I got hit. I can't allow that to happen. What can I do? Urgh!

Phislo deliberated for a while unsure of what to do and admittedly somewhat frantic about the situation. On instinct she popped out and fired a few shots in the direction of the target. She then took a full run for a few seconds and slid behind a piece of raised cover. Popping out of it she quickly took aim and popped the last target. Seeing the red light turn green Phislo summoned the energy to her legs and once again took off to the next station.

It seemed like forever before the simulation came to an end but finally she emerged from the other side where her score popped up on the holo-screen. She had taken about five minutes and thirty-eight seconds to finish the course but this was compounded by shots she took and her problems maneuvering under fire. The bonuses applied fell under accurate shooting, speed, and reaction with the end result finally listed as 789/1000.

"Not my best.", she admitted, "But I'm still pretty awesome! Who wants next?"

Stardust stood and watched as she cleared out, she crossed her arms and listened to the two of them, she couldn't help but laugh out loudly, oh jeez he corrupted her...oh well always fun to have another one to share his humor

She watched and noted many different thungs, reaction time wasn't the best however she was a good shot could use some improvement, she watched her come out and smiled"nicely done firefly got a few places you need to work on overall damn good

She said as she sipped into position. And drew her two 35s she spun them around and popped her neck" but time to show you how it's done...both of you

She pressed the button as she listned" 5...4...3...2....1" she sound went off and she bolted

She ran to the room where the light became red, four targets appeared and started firing at her, stardust hit the wall hard and peeked up as she let a shot out, she had hit one in the midsection l, however she was pinned now, thinking quick and bold she summoned the force to her and bolted right and fired quickly hitting another, then left hitting another and right again before the light went green

He time was a little quicker, she had only been hit once, as she came out she was breathing pretty hard, she looked to her time 3 minutes and 20 seconds with a score of 920" hahaha beat yea...I still need to improve it seems though

Gray just smirked at [member="Phislo Bress"] reply and then gave his wife [member="Stardust Raxis"] a wink. He was glad to see how much fun the two of them were having here. That was good because he was about to make the both of them feel terrible when his turn came up for the simulation. As soon as the young red head got ready for her turn, Gray began to gather the force into him and get his connection flowing stronger and faster. He was going to cheat here a bit, even though it wasn't strictly going to be against the conditions of the match. He watched her go and move well if showing off some of her inexperience as she finished her run. She scored well and he clapped for her saying when she rejoined them, " Good job Firefly. I hope I can match that score of your's." Then it was his wife's turn.

Star moved through the simulation as well as was to be expected for someone of her experience in battles. She did very well but ended up being hit during the exercise. That was not surprising as she was more of the type to go in with heavy armor and her sabers drawn than to dual pistol her way through engagements. Her score was very good by the end, and it made Gray decide he wanted to use his simulation as an impromptu training session for himself. He needed to become as strong as possible if he wanted to support his rather head strong, brash wife when she charged her way into battle. As she came back to rejoin them following completion he said, " You did well Beautiful. Looks like it is my turn to go. I think I'll do this one with my eyes closed too." He followed up by winking to the two of them then closing his eyes.

Gray walked up to line and pressed the button to start the count down. He got his pistol readied and began to feel nothing but the flow of the force. As soon as the simulation told him to start, Gray began moving as quickly as possible flowing the guiding voice of the force on where to go. He made it to the area for the challenge and as soon as he was there it began to cause enemies to pop up and began to shoot at him. He couldn't see them or their shots but deftly dodged every shot that flew his way. His shots seemed to be taken as soon as enemies arose, if not seemly before so the hits were on them as soon as they appeared. He didn't hide behind any cover and didn't slow down. His movements just flowed around the shots so that none could land as shots were fired without fear of missing their targets. He made it through the end of the challenge and back to the finish line within 2 minutes and 48 seconds.

Gray opened up his eyes as he crossed the line and looked to his score. It was nearly perfect at 995 points. The only issue was that he hadn't completed it in the absolute minimum time possible. He smiled as he saw it, and felt good about the progress he was making with his force connection. He might be able to use it to real effect in live combat after all. He turned his attention to the two and said, " Well looks like I got the highest score. That means I won right and yall lost the bet correct? That is right isn't it?" He grinned impishly to the two as he waited for them to respond to his words.

Five points. Five points off a perfect score. She didn't even come close to that. She raised an eyebrow at the display as it came up on the screen. That means she had lost the bet to him. Granted it was probably foolish to accept it in the first place. There is a reason that Gray was the Alor after all. She just didn't expect a margin to be quite so wide as that.

She sighed in defeat as Gray summoned up an impish grin. " Well looks like I got the highest score. That means I won right and yall lost the bet correct? That is right isn't it?"

"Yeah, yeah, a deal is a deal.", she said looking up at him. "What do you want me and Star to do?"
