Horus Nelson, if nothing else, was the catalyst for the destruction of the Kingdom of Alexandria. Born and raised on Alexandria, Horus could have enjoyed the life of luxury his status of nobility would have brought, but he chose otherwise. Despite the urge of his family to place him into royal academies, he chose public schooling, college and later would start at the bottom of the food chain in the Alexandrian Royal Navy.

He began as a junior officer aboard the No Land Beyond, despite his desires to forgo the easy life his name brought it was unavoidable. With each accomplishment the monarchy looked upon him twice as favorable as those who performed the same feats but were of the lower class. He routinely addressed recommendations for promotion of other officers when his own promotion was put forward for review.

By the age of thirty-five he was the Commander of the No Land Beyond, and with total control over those who operated on his ship it was the first and only ship in the Alexandrian Royal Navy whose Commander was the only nobleborn personnel aboard, all other officers, midshipmen and marine personnel on his vessel belonged to lower and middle class families. He ate with them, he drank with them, and he shared quarters with them. There was no distinction between bloodlines on his ship.

Time and tension grew on him and he formed a coalition of the willing. Few lords came to his heed, but that was the good thing about the lower class, they outnumbered the noble. With an overwhelming force and show of support, Horus Nelson was able to peel away the monarchy's influence on the Navy. From there the dominoes fell. Next it was the Army that joined alongside Horus, but it was only after the execution of the King that the Intelligence division begrudgingly joined the Commonwealth.

For the next decade the Commonwealth would fight a civil war the rest of the galaxy were unaware of. Horus was raised to the status of Admiral. He showed his steeled resolve in the face of his own betrayal to the Kingdom. Defeat mean't death, victory mean't freedom. There was no option. By the closing of the war and victory for the Commonwealth Horus had been honored the title Lord of Admirals.

Just as the Commonwealth began to regain their strength and numbers after the Gulag Plague and an intense civil war, the Netherworld event occurred. As the only individual on the Commonwealth Security Council who did not vanish, he is the sole heir to the Commonwealth and the guardian of his people. Until new candidates rise to the council, he would carry this burden alone.

[member=Horus] Inspired by halo wars. Captain Cutter. Maybe not cutter himself. A UNSC Admiral mix of sorts.

Best of luck for your faction.
Surely not Halo Wars, although the character artwork is of Lord Terrence Hood. I wasn't an avid fan of Cutter. The idea for Horus was initially inspired by Lord Hood but I quickly branched off into my own realm.

Thank you for the compliment, I appreciate it. I always try and experiment with different biography layouts with each new character.

As for the Commonwealth...

Commonwealth is a NFU focused military faction based in the Unknown Regions, a really against-the-ropes faction whose technology is archaic, tactics outdated, and relies on teamwork, cooperation and strength in numbers rather than skill and technology. So you won't any marines of the Commonwealth in super powerful Beskar or Phrik with lightsabers and Force powers, but if you do happen to meet a marine you'll often see them in large groups working together. We actively encourage this cooperation and teamwork as a faction ICly and OOCly.

Because of its focus on the military, the military is everything from government to corporations, everything is military owned, a stratocracy. It's light-sided, but it's chaotic good. So it'll do small evil deeds if it means it results in a greater good outcome. They're willing to bend the rules, or break them, for a positive outcome.
