Homecoming

The little Princess made sure they were mostly alone before whispering.

"I know I haven't really been making you proud lately- No, don't deny it. I'm not stupid, Cyril. I can tell. But I want you to know that I have no intention of backing off or changing myself for you. I'm a big girl. An adult in, like, ninety percent of the Galaxy. You are not my Mother and you are not my Father. That being said, I have always respected you. I love you big brother. Always will."

She looked down at the floor when she finished, biting her lip.

"I... don't think we'll see each other again. Not for a long time..."

Kaigann nodded in response to his master before raising a brow, he felt something stemming from his master over the mention of this 'contact' no doubt Castiel could feel it as well. "Very well." Kaigann turned his head slowly in the direction of Master Lennox and Princess Felicity giving a quick bow of farewell to both before making his departure out of the room.

The apprentice moved to ready the officers and transport for both the mission in Kadaara and the meet that would take place first in Keren. There was much preparation to be done before the operation could take place, Cyril had shown that to be true, it would be up to Kaigann to ensure that all was ready. He half expected the worst to happen, yet knew that it would not be enough to stop them from achieving their goals.

(Sorry for the delay guys, major OT at work last few days.)

"I have no desire for you to change yourself. Our paths diverge, it was inevitable." He replied coldly. There was a detachment to his voice not alike the way he had previously spoke to his sister. Where Graxin had been easygoing and lighthearted, Cyril was grim and full of purpose.

He stared down at the blond, gray eyes looking her over from head to toe. She'd grown in the past few years. Not a woman yet, in his opinion, but then she would always be that way to Cyril Grayson.

He breathed a heavy sigh, and embraced the girl.

"Don't get yourself. Remember what you learned." He whispered. His voice was heavy with worry, and for a moment, his cold countenance warmed. He set his hands on the girl's shoulder - still clad in the cheap leather gloved she'd given him on Coruscant. "You'll see me again. I promise."

The girl let her brother embrace her, but she made no move to hug him back. She stood there, limp in his arms. Her face was blank as a slate, save for the moisture welling up in her eyes.

"No," she sighed with a voice weak as a summer breeze, "I know we will. But when you see me again, I don't think you'll like what you see."

She pulled herself out of his embrace, holding her hand out for him to shake. Formal. Polite.

"Goodbye, Brother."

Kaigann was waiting. They had a mission to begin, an objective to pursue, but Cyril was dumbstruck by Felicity's actions. This wasn't like her. The formalities, the purpose, it wasn't his little sister.

He gazed down at her, the confusion plain in his expression. His lips pursed in silence, and his hand fell to shake hers uncertainly. He drew in a deep breath, and only spoke once his arm was down at his side.

"Something is bothering you. It isn't Naboo, and it isn't mom. Tell me."

"Goodbye," she repeated, turning away before he could catch her and demand a response. She had a feeling. She had more than a feeling. She had a vision. She didn't know how, she didn't know when, but something was going to happen when this was all over. She knew she was expected to go stay with the Baroness for a time, but something involving that arrangement would ruin... her. And Cyril would be very unhappy.

Light as ever on her feet, she scurried away, searching for Master Elaris. For now, she had work to do. Nothing else mattered.
