It had been too long since she'd been home. Too long since she'd seen her hometree.

Too long since she'd seen her first daughter.

It wasn't something she admitted to herself these days, but she knew she was back on the feeling of living as a spacer, rather than as a Cathar. It felt too natural for her own good. Too easy to slip into that old rebel mentality.

So when she felt the Reaper land on the pad of Ran Dom Kuun, she let out a sigh. She felt the wood on her paw-pads, discarding her boots in favor of hard wood on her paws.

She needed to see Rayia.

Location: Home

Though Rayia continued to wander the galaxy until Jonyna or another member of the Wild Space Rebellion called her to action, she did occasionally stop by Raan Dom Kuun. This was, in part, practical as it gave Rayia a safe haven to refuel and resupply. However, another part of her admitted that she lingered because of the family she had found. A steadfast presence she had started to feel she took for granted as her own family had frayed.

Rayia noticed the little things now. When Rayia had arrived in the spaceport, she had expected to shove through a throng of people. It was one fact of the broader galaxy that she had bitterly come to accept. That after the harrowing experience of hyperspace, she would be vying for space within the sheer din of vibrations and movement that facilitated such a vibrant and populous…, well City Tree.

Not so, as it turned out. Whether subconsciously or not, people had drifted to one side or the other as she passed creating a channel to spur her along towards the Si residence. The Cathar had adapted, and so had she. Learning to breathe around each other. It brought an odd feeling to Rayia’s chest to know people knew her.

This little symbiosis wasn’t only pertinent to her either. As Jonyna approached her home, an older Denik leaning on his wisened cane would lean in giving a surprisingly solemn nod, if a little teetering. Two words confirmed what Jonyna likely wanted to hear. “She’s here.”

Jonyna gave the elder a nod, as she entered the house.

She let out a sigh, knocking heavy on the old wood.

"Rayia? Honey?"

It was humbling to be home. She knew better than to trust the mandos, but she knew she could at least trust them not to glass the planet anymore.
