Roona walked towards the small landing pad that joined the village. Clad in a tank top, cut-off shorts, and sandals, it didn't feel like Lifeday was anywhere near... not here on the beaches of Alaris Prime. But the holiday was quickly approaching, and the former soldier had returned home.

And she came out to the landing pad to greet someone very important.

Her tall form came to stand at the coordinates she'd given to Commander [member="Valkren Calderon"] once he'd accepted her invitation. Despite the rather serious expression on her face, she was nervous. The two soldiers had been an item, close-knit during their time serving together. However, as their relationship continued, Roona had made the decision to leave the Rangers as she hadn't wanted to sully the commander's reputation. It'd been difficult, but once her mind was made up—she carried on.

Ever since, the two hadn't lined up their leaves with much success. But duty was duty. With the Silver Services, Roona had a bit more freedom–she was no longer out on the front lines. Part of her sorely missed the excitement and camaraderie. Most of all, she missed seeing Valkren. Hell, she even missed the other guys—even if they teased her endlessly (especially after finding out about her feelings for Commander Calderon).

It'd been months since they'd last seen eachother.

As a Silver Jedi transport ship set down, her heart skipped. Roona wondered if Valkren still felt the same. She didn't doubt him, but she knew that time often changed people. The rational part of her mind attempted to soothe her insecurities away, he had agreed to come meet her family, after all. For her own part, no matter the months or the distance between them, Roona's feelings hadn't changed.

His feelings certainly hadn't changed.

Valkren's mind could be its calmest on the battlefield, staring down an enemy army or the fiercest beasts from any hell they could pull themselves from..

Now? He felt like a nervous wreck. The commercial flight was long to say the least, the commander had attempted to sleep during the travels but he had no such luck. It might have been the fact that Roo' had advised Valk to 'dress warm' and to pack accordingly. Such attire as his hiking boots, shorts, and Antarian Ranger logo tee, tended to leave him a bit chilly during transport.

Nonetheless, he knew he'd be feeling some warmth again soon so he wouldn't complain.

He couldn't complain though, he was finally getting to see Osmari again. It had been a while since they're previous interaction which just so happened to be around the time she informed him she'd be leaving the rangers. He knew sooner or later one of them would leave, perhaps even together.

But he hated feeling like she had quit because of him.

Valkren shook the thought from his head and went back to the idea on just being able to be with Roona again. He'd reach up and touch a freshly healed scar on his cheek that cut directly through the thick beard that he had been growing. He intended to shave at some point today before meeting any family, he just hated the thought of sticking out like a sore thumb.

Eventually the transport would touch down. Valkren lifted a single large ruck over his shoulders, making his way out with the lack of passengers that might have their stop at this village as well. The man couldn't contain his smirk as soon as he stepped onto the ramp and saw her.

The smirk soon turned into a full fledged smile as he approached. "Well hey there, stranger. You're looking awfully pretty."

Valkren would kick himself if he could, it had been a second since any of his drawl had come out without any help of alcohol.
