[SIZE=9pt] Having just entered the starship manufacturing business, Holowan Laboratories aimed to construct a ship that was cheap to produce, but still capable of battle. The Holowan I-class is equipped with standard defense systems, it’s most prominent feature being the amount of firepower it is capable of dishing out. It is fairly run of the mill for a heavy frigate, meant to be deployed in numbers alongside larger capital ships to act as an escort. It’s main function is anti-starfighter, having been outfitted with many automated defense cannons. Even so, they are able to operate on their own to a degree, with enough consumables to last for five months in the deep reaches of space.[/SIZE]
[SIZE=9pt]The standard crew size is around eight hundred naval personnel, along with enough room to transport an extra two hundred individuals, whether they be civilian or military in nature. As it is not a cargo ship or meant to be used for ferrying heavy equipment, its capacity is only three thousand metric tons. These frigates can serve many purposes, though are mainly suited as battle escorts. With the shipyard on Doneer’so focused on producing them, they are to be distributed throughout the Fakir sector, used by many systems as a means of planetary security.[/SIZE]
