"Just eat about half of the ice cream bowl, and then we'll pitch camp for the night: it's about to get dark"

These bandits attacked in daytime, because even with flash lights and other equipment of that nature, it was still more dangerous to go out in the wilderness at night than during the day. Plus she could feel the student was a little winded in the Force; it would do very little good for him to keep learning new Force-powers. There were three powers she would like him to learn if there was an opportunity to do so: Force-fear, Force-cloak and, the most exotic, but also the most draining of the gang, Neural Storm. Psychometry, cryokinesis were parts of that game, and she had a feeling that their sleep would be perturbed by troublesome critters, whatever these critters were. Regardless of whether the critter was, in fact, native to D'Qar or immigrated, she would feel that she would have to sleep with her Force-senses active, and wake up her apprentice as necessary. However, she won't get to sleep that many hours since it was the summer season in that region of D'Qar, and hence there were few hours of darkness at that time of the D'Qar year. Just that they made good progress on advancing towards the suspected location of the bandit base. After she finished her half of the bowl of ice cream prepared by cryokinesis...

"We shall go to sleep soon"

Enjoying the reward of the force power he just manged to pull off, he ate the ice cream. Feeling the extra coolness provided from the mind flavor. Looking out over the lake they were near, he watched as the sun was just beginning to set. Watching the world reflected on the cool and quite still surface of the lake.

But then she mentioned about setting up came for the night, and a realization finally hit him. "Shoot... I forgot to bring a tent." He said out loud. His tone showing that he was frustrated with himself for forgetting. That meant all the creepy crawlies could be sleeping with him tonight and he didn't really like the idea of that a whole lot.

He did actually think or know that Janick had brought a tent for two. For some reason the idea never came to mind. Probably because he wouldn't have been expecting to sleep with her on their trip. But in the end it was rather more practical to have one tent then two, taking up less space and all.

"All I brought was my sleeping sack...Ugh... Well I'll be helping you with your tent I know that. I'm no stranger to tents, that all Tuskens really live in." He said to her. Being more then ready to help her out to deal with his own forgetfulness. "But, yeah, I guess we can sleep soon."

"Don't worry about the tent: I have a tent for two in my backpack"

It was one of those tents that people tended to buy if they were going on camping hikes in pairs. It was surprisingly lightweight: the whole tent package didn't weigh much more than two lightsabers. She also placed her sleeping bag in it, and she could tell A'Runda was pretty used to sleeping in tents; when the tent package was unpacked, he was able to help her out to the extent he was able to. But she wouldn't think this trip was one's ordinary jungle trek: a day from now they will likely be closing in on the camp, and maybe get exfil once the main objectives have been accomplished, with Griet doing that. And maybe backup will come after the two made their insertion, but preliminary recon information indicates that there is a grand total of one heavy weapon in the base, the 220mm mortar. For now, anyway, she helped set up the tent and, from there, her sleeping bag, which was going to be next to the Tusken's. And get as much sleep as they can until either the sun rises again or some critter closes in on them in their sleep. She also feels a little sleepy but here they would need to be careful, and yet the need for rest was just as important. Bottom line: for them it won't be a very good sleep.

"Good night!"

After the got the tent all set up and their sleeping bags were laid out A'Runda replied. "Good night..." It took him a little while to actually get tired though. Laying there, next to Janick he couldn't help but feel a little awkward. Going to be sleeping next to someone he found rather pretty was not the norm her him at all.

But it could easily be said that the Tusken was just making mountains out of molehills. It's really just that he didn't expect the evening to take a turn in this direction. A'Runda's mind was running with odd thoughts here and there. Trying to be as quite and still as he could as to not be disruptive. He had been told before that he was a rough sleeper. Always twisting and turning.

To get his mind off the fact that he was sleeping next to Janick he began to wonder about how things were going to play out tomorrow. Whether or not it was going to be a breeze or a real struggle for the two of them. Personally he wasn't all that invested in the Outer Rim Coalition. So he wasn't all that concerned with the enemy they would be dealing with.

Nonetheless he couldn't keep himself distracted forever. So to make himself rest easy for the night he'd simply just let himself enjoy the fact that he was getting lessons and was spending his time in a way he liked. Eventually he'd fall asleep. Not waking up until Janick woke him.

Unprepared to be this close to her in a two-person tent? That's what A'Runda was getting for not bringing his own tent. Regardless of whether or not it was serving as a lesson for him not to forget his tent, Janick, on the other hand, was sleeping rather differently: her brain was very active and it took longer for her to enter deep sleep as a result. Maybe if he has some residual fears from the night, the next lesson could be used to train him in one more spell at day break, she thought, while realizing that this apprenticeship was also a work in process for another item. Then again, she knew that Force-fear was about projecting the user's fears onto the target(s). Now, she could sleep safe and sound, to the extent it was possible in the dead of night in the D'Qar forest, while wild animals would likely be on the prowl and not caring about sentients occupying a tent. Janick knew as much; the rest of the operation could go well, or go poorly. But the key to destroying the base will likely be taking out the mortar's ammunition, and then pick up the scrap parts afterward. Yet she managed to get as good a sleep as it was possible in the wilderness. When day broke...

A'Runda tossed and turned in his sleep. So much for not wanting to be a bother for Janick. Being sprawled out as much as he could without physically touching her. At least the Tusken wasn't snoring, and being loud in his sleep. His mind wasn't really wondering what kind of cool new lessons he'll learn and more so just how things will play out with the enemy they were meant to take out.

Even when day broke he didn't come out of his sleep. Either she was gonna need to wait longer or would have to physically wake him up. Hopefully A'Runda wouldn't embarrassed himself by saying something stupid while being torn from his dream.

Nonetheless he'd be glad there wasn't any real complications for going to sleep. Meaning that when he did finally wake up that he'll be well rested and ready to take on the day. Or at least attempt to. Even though the Tusken will probably forget. He was dreaming about riding a feral bantha though some massive canyons.

"The time has come to pack up and continue our trek through the forest"

The reason why Janick didn't want to awaken A'Runda too quickly was because she knew her own sleep wasn't the best. And likely her apprentice's; although she couldn't know for sure before waking up, she suspected his sleep wasn't the best because he was unprepared to sleep in the same tent as she was, or at least not this close. Sleep was crucial and it was something she knew the proper amount was necessary, or else. They were lucky to have eaten enough last night to last them through a portion of the day trekking through the D'Qar forests. Once they were packing up, they knew they were closing in on the base, but they had to keep their eyes peeled all the way. Yet something was afoot: she could tell that something or someone was lurking in the shadows as they closed in on the insurgent base, and that once that something is dealt with, she could move on to the outskirts of the base, but she had to maintain some distance. In this dense foliage, they were grateful not to have packed that much, especially since Jane thinks some tree-climbing is necessary to ensure that they will be able to spot the targets of interest as they close in on the insurgent base, and, from there, lure them into the woods.

After hearing Janick's voice come through in his sleep he softly reply back. "Sure thing beautiful..." Then slowly one eye opened before the other and he was brought back to reality, and with it realized what he said. "I uh... sorry I didn't mean to say that." Now embarrassed with himself he got up and began to pack up like she said. To him it didn't feel like he really slept any. Like he'd closed his eyes for a couple minutes and then hear her voice waking him up. Of course he was dreaming otherwise he wouldn't have responded the way he did.

After A'Runda and her got all packed up he'd follow along with Janick into the lush forest. A'Runda felt somewhat overwhelmed with the Force on a planet like this. Unlike Tatooine where it's pretty lifeless compared to D'Qar. So he wasn't very used to the flow of the Force going through so many living beings. So because of this he couldn't really sense whatever it was lurking around in the flora around them. All in all he simply followed Janick further along to the insurgent base, thinking to himself most the way.

Beautiful, sure, now I know it can turn into a longer-term romance, she thought, upon hearing A'Runda upon awakening. It was a little too quiet after departure to her own liking; then again the sheer number of Force-signature belonging to non-sentient lifeforms are not making her sensory life easier. She didn't suspect that there was a creepervine out there, grabbing her limbs and Janick's supplies and gear fell off as she was about to get eaten by the carnivorous plant. On the plus side, she would be able to recharge her Force-batteries faster for a while. But since her limbs were fastened to the creepervine, she couldn't conjure her beskad or lightsaber and she lacked the headroom to concentrate because of the vines making her shake all over the place, as if she was performing high-G maneuvers in a fighter whose inertial compensator didn't operate at full power. But she did, however, have an idea for the apprentice to execute, which, if it did work, was tantamount to him learning Force-fear to get his master out of the muck and back on the road to the bandit encampment:

"Try projecting your inner fears onto the plant!" she screamed, letting out a sense of panic.
