Hiring the Mercenaries(OP/Sith Only)

Ahhhh Fondor, the pleasant stink of factories, rust, decay, and heavy metal Moridin loved that smell. It was a smell that went with War, and Moridin loved War. The Dreadlord took a few steps down the ramp of the dropship, his boots clanging loudly against the solid metal. He walked with a gait acquired over many centuries, an air of confidence, power, and pure awesome hung around him. A slight smirk graced his face as he completely exited his ship and stepped out into the midst of Fondor.

Before him loomed a massive office building, the central headquarters of the Private Military Company known as Omega Pyre. The Dreadlord stared at the building for a few seconds before smirking once again and then continuing on towards its entrance. He had a scheduled meeting here today with a representative from the company, he wanted Omega Pyre on his side. A war would be breaking out to the fullest extent soon, battles would be waged across star systems. Mandalorians, The Republic, the Sith they would all be fighting, and any help to any side might tip the balance.

Omega Pyre was another weight, something that Moridin intended to add to his side of the scale. They were mercenaries of course, they didn't care about your cause, who you were, or really what your goal was. As long as you had money, they would do as they were told...within reason. Moridin knew this, and he intended to lock them down. The Sith had more money than they knew what to do with, investing...so to speak within Omega would be a wise choice.

Once he gained control of them as their central Employer Moridin would send them against the Republic. He wanted their outer worlds to be harassed and raided, quick strikes against their defenses to push and test them. The Dreadlord had a plan, one he was going to see through.

Finally he reached the massive Omega Pyre building and stepped up to the building. Two men opened the door for them and the Dreadlord bowed his head in thanks. He walked through the doors with a Smirk on his face, ready to negotiate.

Omega Pyre knew of the man's coming, and since he was here to discuss business, the Vice President herself would attend.

However, to meet their guest was a tall woman dressed in business attire. She nodded respectfully to the Sith Lord as he entered.
"Lord Moridin? I am Anya, Ms Alcori's private secretary. This way, please," she said, leading him through the reception. On the ground floor there was a meeting room of the usual conference variety.

There Tegaea was waiting, sitting casually in a chair. She rose when the Sith entered and nodded to him. She was well build, strong and fit, scarred from fighting, and quite capable in appearance.
Anya took station behind Tegaea as the VP invited Moridin to sit.

"So, Lord Moridin, I was interested in your message. What is it you wish?"

Anaya followed Moridin, unable to keep the smile from her face. She was here to observe, to learn and to look pretty yet all the same she was excited to be off Korriban. The mercenaries would follow the money, that much was guaranteed but men with a love for money had a lust that Anaya intended to exploit for her own pleasures.
The outfit she wore was skin tight, low cut and had holes in the sides to reveal her slender waist. Keeping her step one behind Moridin she followed him through the door, feeling the hungry eyes of the guards on her she turned as they passed through walking backward offering them an alluring smile and a wink.

Turning round again she realised Moridin was several paces ahead. She skipped to catch up with him, like a child in a playground. quickly composing herself as they were approached and guided to a conference room. She pouted slightly when she realised they were being met by a woman. She'd had her hopes so high.

Moridin followed the first woman quite quickly. He was eager to get this all done with. He had never much been one for politics or business. The Dreadlord had a penchant for strategy and battle, and that was really it. As of late however he found himself in more meetings than in actual fights, something that bothered the Sith quite a bit, although one would never know it from looking at him. Entirely Ignoring Anaya as he walked the Sith Lord finally arrived in conference room and found another woman standing there.

The Dreadlord smiled at her, a welcoming smiling. She greeted him pleasantly enough and then she cut right to the chase. Good, he'd rather not talk business all day. If he could get Omega moving against the Republic immediately it would benefit his plans greatly. Knowing this Moridin nodded tot he VP and then took a seat opposite her.

“I'm going to cut straight to the chase. Omega Pyre is the largest and perhaps best Private Military group currently active within the galaxy. I wish to hire you.” Moridin spoke quickly, but also very firmly. One could hear that he was not only used to command, but utter domination of those around him. “Money as you can probably guess is no object. I want your forces under my...loose command.”

The Dreadlord stopped for a few seconds letting the weight of that sink in. The Sith had Trillions of credits to spend on war, Moridin himself had a discretionary budget with ridiculous funds in it. The Sith were known for using slaves which saved untold amounts of money, along with a few other things meant that momentarily most Sith factions flourished beyond all expectations, the same could be said for The Sith Empire.

“Before you ask, no you will not be fighting alongside Sith or our Soldiers.” That was something he wanted to make very clear, the Sith and Omega Pyre would not usually be seen on the same battlefield unless absolutely necessary. There was a reason for that, although the Dreadlord did not really wish to divulge that.

The VP of Omega Pyre might not have been a man, but Tegaea had an appreciative eye for Anaya, but did not indulge much a look that way before returning to the Sith Lord.
The man was straightforward, blunt, just what Tegaea appreciated.

"Omega Pyre is a considerable organisation, Lord Moridin. What part of us would you like to hire? And for what? We have sub-divisions specialising in certain areas of our business, from infiltration to escort to assault."
Studying him for a moment she had indeed wondered about his last point. However, there was another question; why hire us when you have the entire Sith Empire beside you?
It was a question she would save.

Moridin looked at her with a pleased smile. He caught her glance towards Anaya which made him grin slightly. If theres one thing his apprentice knew how to do it was distract people. The thought made a slight smirk appear on his face, although it almost immediately suppressed itself as he remembered what he was here to do. The Vice-president explained that Omega had many division, something that the Sith of course already knew.

“All of it.” He said as though it was the simplest thing in the world. “I want Omega to conduct a full scale assault on the Republic. I want their networks infiltrated, their planets raided, and their ships destroyed.”

Again he made it sound as though all of these tasks were beyond simple. Of course Moridin knew that this would cost quite a bit, probably more money than it was worth, but he knew it had to be done. The Sith were strong, but not strong enough to fight two wars at once...at least not yet. If the Republic was occupied with Omega while the Sith fought the Mandalorians it would give him time.

War was a costly business, but it was exactly what the Dreadlord needed.

Tegaea pondered this matter carefully. The Republic and Jedi were her roots, a stabilising factor in the galaxy and an important contractor of Omega Pyre. The business was still relatively young and fighting in full scale wars was not something that would ever be profitable. Even if the Sith paid a lavishly excessive amount, it would not cover the actions of a full scale war.

She shook her head. "No, Lord Moridin, we will not commit ourselves to a war against one of our main contractors, a war we have nothing to gain by. We are mercenaries, but we are not the ordinary sort of mercenaries who will fight for anyone who has some shiny credits. We will operate with you in areas of infiltration, raiding and scouting, but we will not fight the Republic and the Jedi head on, no matter how much money you have."
Her voice was pleasant, calm.

"My secretary will provide you a list of what options and prices are available against the Republic. I trust you will understand."

Anaya smiled sweetly as Tagaea's eye caught hers. Maybe it was the same with female mercenaries as it was male. Anaya's doors were open, so long as she could have fun it didn't matter who with.

She listened carefully to Moridin's proposal, her lekku quivering slightly at his words. She had expected the Omega to be hired for their war against the Mandalorian's an assault from both sides would have seen them weakened yet this, was even better than she could imagine. With two wars raging, everything else in the galaxy would surely follow.

It was genius. But Tagaea wasn't interested, and that was a pity. She opened her mouth to say something then shut it rapidly. It was not her place to speak.

A pity, but not unexpected. Of course it would have been perfect to see Omega go to total war with The Republic, but he had never really wished for that...or that was incorrect phrasing, he had known that it wouldn't happen in the way he had wished. What Tagaea had actually described was precisely what he had wanted. He wanted Omega to attack the Republic, and thats what they would do.

Sure it would only be in raids and skirmishes but as long as they held up the resources of his enemies he didn't care to what degree they fought them...as long as they didn't fight the Sith Also. Moridin shrugged slightly to himself, all in all it looked like this was going to be exactly what he wanted...if only a bit toned down.

“I understand perfectly.” Moridin spoke with a sly grin on his face. “I will let me underlings handle the price situations, they know perfectly well what the Sith require.”

Again the grin appeared on his face as he looked at her. Clearly the Sith felt as thought he had gotten what he wanted in this, although exactly how or what that was no one could really say. He looked at the vice president and then stood form his chair. “Perhaps you would be so kind as to show me some of your operation. I have heard that your R&D department have developed some things never before seen in the galaxy”
(I think theres like 3 techs made in the factory for Omega pyre)

Tegaea raised an eyebrow. "So unusual for a Sith to trust underlings so much." She made no further comment, though she did not have a very high opinion of the Sith in general. She probably had too many morals to be a true mercenary.

"As I'm sure you'll understand, some of our operations are classified. I can show you some of our ships in the hanger though. Those are all public knowledge."
She rose. "You will of course understand that if the Republic were to pay more, once the contract is ended that is the side we fight for. We follow the credits, as it were."

Underlings? Anaya thought to herself, was her referring to her? she certainly hoped not she was an apprentice, not a alsve, she had done her time as a slave. Although she knew what was needed she did not expect such menial tasks to be given to her. Surely not?

As the two of them rose Anaya could not help but smile at Tagaea's words. "What makes you think there will be a republic to pay you?" she said before she could stop herself.

Moridin looked at the woman, unusual for Sith to trust their underlings? Perhaps that was true, though not for Moridin. He stood at the tip of the Sith Pyramid, most of his servants and the like knew not to cross him. Besides this wasn't a side project, this was to further the Sith as a whole. None of them would try to sabotage this, or at least none of them that knew what was good for them.

He nodded to Tegaea and spoke again. “Of course, lead on.”

The Dreadlord said with with a deadly smile. He was quite eager to get this ball rolling. The Sith would soon be invading Mandalorian space itself, he had to make sure that the Republic did not interfere. All three of the factions were still young at heart, they had militaries of course but no true heroes. Good officers required time and experience, neither of which the Sith or the Republic had. The Mandalorians were a different story, they were bred for war and Thus they had to be taken care of first.

Moridin would see to this, he just couldn't have the Republic interfere. Then Anaya spoke, the Dreadlord raised and eyebrow but didn't say anything else. His Apprentice was a snarky one, most of the time he tried to quell that...but here it would have a certain charm.

"As glorious and powerful as the Sith Empire undoubtedly is you are very close in strength to the Republic, otherwise you wouldn't have bothered hiring us. Also, while I would like to think that we will have a dramatic impact, I doubt it will be that monumental."
Tegaea did not hold back a frown of disappointment with the Sith girl. That sort of blustering impressed no one.

She led the two Sith into one of OP's hangers. There, a half dozen interceptors were located. These ships, built on Fondor, were elegant and agile ships able to hit and run, then escape into hyperspace. Tegaea gave the tour, as nothing here was secret, and gave a good impression about OP's strength.

The frown from Tagaea made her stumble and she cast a quick glance at Moridin to make sure she was not over stepping her mark by speaking up the way she had. He had an eyebrow raised but made no sign that she should shut up so she continued.

"Numbers and strength make very little difference when your enemy has their hands busy with something else." Her lekku trembled slightly as she rememebered her last master. He had had his hands busy when he had died. The foolish man.

Moridin waved a hand to silence Anaya. He didn't really feel like having this turn into a full blown argument between the two women. Especially when he could silence one of them them on a whim. He wanted to know more about these ships. They were fast attack craft built for hit and run mostly apparently. Then another thought occurred to him.

“Tell me Madam Vice President. How exactly did you end up here? If you dont mind my saying you hardly seem the type for war.” Moridin sounded genuinely curious,

Onyx was in orbit with his ship on stand bye. He was on guard duty and was there if they needed a quick evac. He hated it. He would much rather have his head ripped off by a bantha then sit around doing nothing. He turned on the private comm to Moridin. "Did anything bad happen yet?" Onyx asked with a hopeful voice. He longed for some action.

Tegaea, a nearly 6 foot tall woman with considerable muscles and a scarred face, wondered if the man was trying to be amusing. Either way, she dismissed the Apprentice; the girl knew little.
"I ran my own mercenary company; the Dark Stars, and the OP leader Cira offered me a job here as her VP. I took it, and here I am," she said calmly.

"These interceptors are our top of the line attack craft. Integrated hyperdrive, shielding, three weapon mounts and top notch targeters make this a pretty fierce-some craft. If you'd like I'll show you our bomber wing as well."

Moridin looked at the woman and nodded. So there had been a merger, interesting enough. He was rather interested in meeting this other woman...Cira he would have to talk to her quite a bit as well. The Dreadlord shrugged inwardly, there would be time for that later he assumed. He nodded to her on the question of the bombers and then a voice spoke into his comm-link. He frowned slightly at the way the apprentice addressed him, he would have to correct that behavior.

He signaled to his Apprentice who would of course be on the same comm frequency, she would answer the other apprentice and take care of that little problem. “Lead on madam.”

The Dreadlord spoke with a smirk. He actually still was rather interested in all of this tech. Moridin himself had once been a tinkerer. He had built robots, lightsabers, worked on ships. Everything mechanical had once interested him quite a bit, and still did although he had much less time now a days to build things.

Zero had been seeing that the fighters were being worked on properly when the vice-presedent walked in with two sith. he knew that the man was a Master from the way he held himself and the girl was his apprentice or a friend,he couldnt tell. looking at his notepad to make sure that everything was going well. Tegaea was talking to the sith and she stop about 5 feet from him. she was talking about the ships and it looked like the sith were semi-intrrested so to make it more plausable he walked up and said "Excuse me, the star fighters are going along smoothly. what else is to be done with the ships?"

Zero did not like the sith but if they paied the right amount he would fight for them. and if selling themself was going to go like this he would have to make it look like they were making progress, And they were. Zero was just here to flaunt it around.

Anaya dropped a few paces back so she could speak with Darren without being overheard.

"Tut tut Darren, you forget your manners and your patience." she purred at him through the comm, smiling to herself. "You are missing some beautiful ships though. And Tagaea isn't so bad looking herself. How are the stars looking? Bet your hating being sat up there all alone."

She was mocking him, of course, but she had to at least have some fun on this dull outing.
