Biography:
Himalia Tavers was born on Balmorra to parents Everton & Shireen Tavers. She lived happily with them until she was 6, until the plague. A horrendous plague hit Balmorra in 851 ABY, a developmental strain of Jurrinex6, called Jurrinex9. This was far more infectious than the Jurrinex6 strain, which had been basically wiped out. The Jurrinex9 strain was primarily found to focus more on brain function than anything else, degrading the mind and weakening the overall physique as a result over time. The death was agonizing and for 3 months, Balmorra was ravaged, nearly 5 Million died with in the first few months. Himalia's parents, Everton & Shireen Tavers, who owned several estates and Everton who was the former Treasurer of the planet's government, formed a coalition force to find a cure and find who was responsible. The antidotes didn't pan out and more kept dying, eventually the coalition appealed to the Galactic Alliance and the Jedi Order for help. They did respond by sending an Alliance Task Force of doctors, virologists, and scientists. The Jedi also sent 4 Knights known for humanitarian achievements. Over the next year, the virus slowed and a cure was near, however soon afterwards, Everton while visiting patients in a hospital, caught the virus mysteriously even thought he had been more in danger before and was wearing heavily protected gear. Some believe it was the scientist who started the virus who killed Everton. Eventually with the death toll rising, the Alliance issued a protective blockade to prevent the virus from spreading offworld. With Everton near death, Shireen went with Himalia to visit her husband but was shot by a thug while entering the hospital. She died minutes after, and then a day later Everton died. Himalia was young, but still mourned her beloved parents. 4 months later, a cure was found and the virus vanished quickly. Everton Tavers was commemorated with a statue in the center of Sobrik, where he was born. Soon after, one of the Jedi who had been sent to Balmorra found Himalia playing with an apple and using the force to pull it to her when dropped it. After a quick conversation, he took her to the Jedi training facility known as the Almas Academy. After several years of training, Himalia finally felt at home with the Jedi, but she was still intensely loyal to Balmorra and would return whenever the planet needed her. At age 15 she left the Academy for Coruscant to train with her new master, but soon after she arrived, her new master was found dead in the sewers beneath the Galactic Senate Building. After spending time with different instructors, she was given her first assignment. The mission was to travel to Dantooine and recover old Jedi Artifacts hidden within the abandoned ruins of old Jedi Enclave, the Holocron & Journals of Vandar Tokare. She left at age 17 and began her mission to Dantooine.

Appearance:
Himalia Tavers is a 17 year old human female. She has long black hair that she has shorten into three long braids, somewhat to symbolize her beginnings as a Jedi. She possess a normal human build and no extraordinary psychical traits. She wears a black leather jacket with a black scarf that fits nicely over the top of the jacket along her shoulders. She typically wears black leather gloves especially when she fights.

Strengths and Weaknesses
Strong Force Connection
Himalia has a powerful connection to the force, though more of a peaceful one. She has a good sense of the force and can feel it around her at times. Her ability to Sense Force is comproble to some Jedi Knights and even Masters. She is still progressing with her other abilities, but her mastery of those will probably come quicker than those of a typical Jedi. Overall, Himalia Tavers has great force potential.
Quick & Nimble
She is very fast. A natural sprinter, this has helped in her Jedi training as well. Even without the force, she is extremely nimble and mobile, being able to quick make jumps and flips with little effort, and outrun most humans. She uses it when she training in saber combat and it well definitely help increase her ability with Ataru, which is now her primary focus when training in saber arts.
Tough Young Girl
Himalia is very tough for her small size and relative young age. She not a tank or anything, but she can take a hit, most definitely. She is also tough mentally, though not extremely however. Her true limits might be reached and discovered in the coming years.
Extremely Caring
Himalia will help anyone at any time for whatever they need. She cares a lot about people especially about the ones she holds closest. She would give her life without a thought if it meant saving many other lives.
Difficult Learner
Himalia struggles when trying to learn. She especially doesn't like book learning or sitting in a classroom while someone is instructing her. She prefers to be a visual learner and be active while she is learning. A combative training focus would suit her best. She is also difficult to whoever trains her. I wouldn't call her a pain, but she can be annoying sometimes. She would probably stop that once she becomes close with her instructor/master.
Naive
Tavers is only 17 and spent most of her life either in her family's modest estate on Balmorra or training as a the Jedi at the Almas Academy. She hasn't seen much of the galaxy even though she really desires to. She doesn't know a lot about current galactic politics and the norms of intergalactic life. It could possibly get her into trouble & danger.
