Shrugging her shoulders, "Mandalorians raided Kashyyyk while I was an infant. Sith killed my father on Anzat. The Confederacy fell while I was growing my skills under their influence and the Galactic Alliance needed people to fight imperials, Sith and more." There had never been too much questioning of it all from Dreidi's perspective but she lived in one place or another, they needed to fight to protect what they had and that was something that Dreidi was always willing to do. "Being sent off to war and fighting to protect what we had from those eager to ruin our lives... very different viewpoints I believe."
Dreidi smirked as she looked over to Vytal, "I was born on Kashyyyk. Both parents were Jedi Masters in the Silver Jedi Order. When my father died and my mother abandoned her children in her grief, I join the CIS to train under my adoptive sister. That was where I learnt that my father's family came from Dathomir and I have the powers that came from that heritage." Dreidi stated, she held nothing back in her past. It was wrought with being constantly on the move and the difficulties of finding one's place in the galaxy. "I trained under a Nightmother as well as continuing my Jedi studies. Mixing the lessons from both."
"Which made life interesting when I had to find a new life after the fall of the Confederacy. The Galactic Alliance were not thrilled to have a Jedi with the willingness to be a witch, the mindset of a Nightsister. I was an outsider there for a long time. Doing the best I could to fit in, but ultimately it would not work." Dreidi confessed, she was not one to mince words with her dislike of the Alliance and their New Jedi Order. "The High Republic were more open to my presence but Dathomir's call was too strong. While I tried to divide my time equally between Naboo and Dathomir. I ended up mostly on Dathomir."
Gesturing to their surroundings, "therefore, I find myself fighting amongst those who are willing to fight for Dathomir, should the day come that trouble finds us." Looking over to Vytal, "I found the Magick's strength is not based on darkness or lightness like the Jedi and Sith wish to believe. It is emotional, the emotions that burn strongest allow us to perform the strongest Magick. That could be hate, anger, sadness just as easily as it could be love, hope and lust. It can change over time which emotion fuels the Magick best, but it doesn't dictate whether or not we are a good person."
"Our actions dictate that." Taking the glass, she sipped the alcoholic drink carefully. "To the bonds that last this lifetime and the next."
