SPECIAL FEATURES
  • AMP - This system can mount a much heavier weapons arrangement while still maintaining speed comparable to other weapons systems in this weight class.
  • Ceramic Armor Plating - This stuff eats energy for breakfast but has a hard time with kinetic damage types.
  • Weapons Systems - This weapon can mount two heavy weapons onto its two arms, giving it a significant amount of firepower over an average infantryman, but still less than say a vehicle based laser cannon.
  • Neural Interface - This gives the armor wearer a much greater amount of control over the armor, it feels like a second skin.
Strengths:
  • Firepower - This weapons system bears a very large amount of firepower compared to other armor types, able to mount two heavy weapons.
  • Ceramic Plating - This gives the system a great amount of ability of dealing with energy based weapons.
  • Kinetic - The AMP under the ceramic plating gives the armor a decent ability to absorb kinetic damage, however this comes at a price.
  • Speed - Despite its massive firepower, the system is about as fast as most other armor systems of this class.
  • Neural Interface - The Neural Interface gives the armor wearer a greater amount of control over how the armor moves and operates.
Weaknesses:
  • Pick one - The ceramic armor is very weak to kinetic weapons, and tends to shatter and break when shot with slugs or hit with something like a hammer, while the AMP is very good at dealing wit these attacks the AMP is extremely weak to energy weapons, meaning that if the armor comes under a kinetic attack then they will lose a significant amount of the energy protection on the broken armor plate.
  • Snip Snip - The Ceramic Plate could probably take one or two hits from a vibrosword before breaking, however it will eventually break; and if the AMP underneath somehow gets cut, the suit is probably out of commission
  • Brain Dead - The armor is practically unusable to anyone without proper training in using and operating a neural interface, and anyone who tries has a very high chance of ending up at best catatonic, or at worst brain dead.
  • Deep Frier - If somehow the neural link is abruptly cut or overloaded without either going through the the emergency or standard disconnect procedure, there is a high chance that any person inside will end up brain dead, this can also be triggered by a powerful electric shock.
DESCRIPTION
The HI-416 HAMMER has a very simple purpose, to provide a nice middle ground between infantry and vehicles. These suits toe the line between armor and vehicle, with some of the mobility of infantry suits with some of the firepower of light vehicles. The suit uses the superior strength and dexterity of AMP to help provide a large amount of firepower than an infantryman, with a greater amount of mobility in cramped or urban environments than a light vehicle.

The suit combines heavy ceramic armor plating with the strength and dexterity of Artificial Muscle Polymer, giving this suit a leg up on its competitors. The Ceramic Armor plating eats energy weaponry for breakfast, it can absorb heat better than almost any other substance and most other energy weapons meet a similar fate. The AMP underneath also provides a significant amount of protection against kinetic attacks, providing the user near comprehensive protection against attacks. The AMP also gives the suit comparable movement characteristics to other armors of its class despite its larger weight.

The neural interface makes the suit feel like a second skin, giving the user a greater amount of awareness and a greater amount of skill when using the suit. They are able to process everything the suit sees and feels like it is their own senses, giving them an advantage over suits without this sort of neural interface.

The suit however is not without its own issues, the first of which is the amount of training required to even think about using it. The neural interface requires an extensive amount of training to even use it without becoming permanently brain dead, and that is just the start of it. Even if they can use it properly, the setup is not without its risks. Electrical weaponry can cause neural feedback into the users brain, causing permanent brain damage or even death.

Other problems with the suit include the brittleness of the ceramic armor, which means that while the suit can absorb kinetic attacks because of the AMP, it is not capable of taking a combined assault of kinetic and energy based attacks, you can get one or the other but not both. This means that this armor is incredibly weak to mixed attacks of either energy and kinetic weapons, or weapons like particle beams which blur the line between kinetic and energy attacks. The AMP is also very weak to slicing and piercing attacks, which can server the fragile fibers and render the suit essentially immobile until it can be repaired.
