Description:
The HGL-13 is designed to be a weapon's rack / guided missile launcher to hold V-44 Marbhadh and V-99 Bás Bán missiles underneath star fighters and gunships. Due to the size and nature of the missiles previously mentioned, there are only four slots to prevent over payloading.
The concept came into existence after it was noted that the missiles themselves could not be fired traditionally from starfighters without some kind of harness, or rack. After some designs had been drawn up, and a vote taken, the HGL-13 had been settled upon. The rack can be easily attached, or detached, from both starfighters and gunships. Also, missiles can be easily loaded onto it or taken off it.
Since the HGL-13 is a mounted weapons rack, each slot has a small sensor device. The sensor device, for each slot, is programmed into the starfighters computer system allowing the pilot/pilots to pick and choose which missile to fire from which slot.
