The modern battlespace throws guided swarms, loitering mines, and adaptive hunter-killers into the final kilometer of a run, a regime where decoys and low signatures can be outpaced by raw closing speed. The spines answer that regime with timed packets of ion and steel that arrive only when a confirmed intercept is at hand, preserving the bomber's quiet profile until the last possible moment.

The design follows the Kainate's doctrine of layered, ritual-tuned engineering. Sarrassian iron housings anchor barrel and coil geometry so dispersion remains tight under yaw and recoil. Scry-Lens tracks and the Malediction co-processor deliver predictive solutions that include lead, burst length, and cone shape, and the spines translate those solutions into discrete hexpulses.
