Heroes and Heretics

Yes.

The smirk remained, that was the first shred of emotion that this Jedi had shown, it satisfied the mute somewhat. When one was imprisoned you really did have to find amusement in the little things. Running her tongue over the point of one of her canines, the Silent Sister continued to stare.

Hurting people gives me quite the rush.

Daella's hands balled into a fist after she looked at the datapad. From then on out, Daella would not be looking at [member="Evelynn"]'s words for a while.

Without hesitation, Daella told Evelynn, "And I thought [member="Sopher Jakobs"]'s paramour was of higher calibre."

The blonde mute did not have much time to savour [member="Daella Apparine"]'s clenched fist, for as soon as soon as the name [member="Sopher Jakobs"] was brought up her smile immediately vanished. Of course these questions were bound to come up, they had made quite the scene upon her arrest. Anybody involved in interrogation would have been aware of this fact.

You thought wrong.

Evelynn turned her gaze downwards, deciding that now the floor deserved to be the centre of attention. This was a topic that she had no wish to discuss.

"I wonder what choices one has to make to be entangled with a Jedi, yet still indulge in bloodlust," mused Daella without holding back anything. Still, she kept any emotional flair out of her voice beyond her vocabulary. She did not even look at [member="Evelynn"]'s words.

"And even then, to kill and torture many just for entertainment?" continued Daella in an extremely calm tone, "You're such a base woman."

Louise

An awkward compassionate girl known as Evelynn Dorn had fallen in love with an equally awkward goof of a boy named Sopher Jakobs.

That was a long time ago,

The girl had long since died and the boy had grown up but some shred of love still remained, even in such tragic circumstances. Still staring at the floor, she continued to type, even if Daella refused to read.

What if I am?

Continuing as if she had not stopped, Daella told [member="Evelynn"], "And if you're content with being such a woman, then a life in this cell is all that awaits you. I felt sorry for your mother. I feel no such feeling for you."

She felt pangs of rage.

She did not require this woman's pity, she did not require anybody's pity, sympathy was for the weak and if there was anything that Evelynn did not want to be, it was weak. The momentum of the emotional battle had shifted completely, and the girl's facial expression betrayed her ire completely.

What has my mother got to do with you?

Still she typed as if [member="Daella Apparine"] was going to read it, the subject needed to be changed.

Rather than words, Daella simply reached into a pouch on her belt. Her right hand emerged from beneath her green cloak. With a stern face, she dropped a pendant onto the floor before Evelynn. This pendant was distinctively one of her mother's - which Daella had taken at the moment that she beheaded Karin Dorn.

The penny dropped...or rather the pendant.

Her head reeled back upon the grand reveal, of course she knew who owned that pendant, after all Evelynn was the one that had gifted Karin Dorn the trinket. It had been a keepsake for her mother to wear on her near constant travels, an overly soppy way for her beloved daughter to be close to her heart.

WHERE DID YOU GET THIS?

So you were the other Jedi.

Evelynn had already met [member="Diana Moridena"] upon Cato Nemodia, she had already been broken this news before and at the time she had been a soft little girl who became incapacitated by weeping and taken by a brief flurry of rage. It had not lasted long however, as the decidedly not dead Karin Dorn's telepathy came to save the day.

You didn't do a very good job.

"Though in the case of your mother," continued Daella even as [member="Evelynn"] continued to type, "She simply was mad - delusional. You know what you're doing and have deliberately embraced such a pointless path."

When it finally clicked that [member="Daella Apparine"] was not going to be reading any more of her messages the girl's grip upon the datapad tightened, her lips becoming thin lines of indignation.

She wasn't listening! She stood there lecturing her as if she were some child!

Proving herself to be such a thing the mute threw the datapad to the ground. Oh dear. Tantrum time. Karin Dorn would have been ashamed.

That queen.

With the datapad now laying upon the floor, Evelynn's granite gaze snapped upwards towards the face of [member="Daella Apparine"]. There was venom in that stare. She had already felt the need to correct the Jedi before, insisting that the bond sisters were equals.

Even if it was untrue.

"How could you be equals with such low motives?" questioned Daella as she looked down on [member="Evelynn"], "I've already heard how Talith looks to much grander goals - as misguided as they are."

That last comment moved the girl, literally.

Outrage was in the air now, although it had technically been there before. Moving from her cross-legged position upon the floor Evelynn stood, and very unwisely squared up the blonde and more importantly armed Jedi. Her lower jaw jutted out slightly, it wasn't a very attractive look.

Obviously there was no danger for [member="Daella Apparine"], what was the frail and scarred little girl going to do? Breathe aggressively at her?

Maybe.

Definitely.

That statement made her wince.

Mostly because it was true, and partly because this Jedi had just gotten such a grand rise out of the mute girl. It was humiliating. For a moment her face twisted, as if she were in pain. Evelynn craved to spit upon Daella in that moment, she wanted nothing more than to see her spittle splatter upon the face of the blonde.

But she didn't.

Instead she closed her eyes, inhaling deeply.

For a moment, Daella allowed for a moment of silence as [member="Evelynn"] took a breath in.

"As you are now," began Daella once more with less intensity in her voice, "This cell is your future. Not even Jakobs will follow you to it. You must change - destroy the very truisms and lies you've forced yourself to believe. Can you understand that?"
