Heroes and Heretics

Naturally the Sister Queens of Rattatak were kept apart.

Probably for the best, given that the last thing Nemene had said to Evelynn was along the lines of you'll be sorry. That little slice of vengeance was surely going to be a blast and a half to endure, well, if she had to endure it. As it stood they were arrested and properly detained, no doubt interrogations would be pending and then there would be a trial and then consequences for their atrocities.

Of course given the current state of the Jedi, those processes were no doubt getting bogged down. Welcome to bureaucracy. There might be a hidden treaty, you might want to check first.

She sat cross-legged within her cell with her eyes firmly shut. Hey, darksiders can meditate too, you know? At this stage it was all a waiting game. Somebody would come, there was no chance the pair of these girls would be forgotten by the Jedi. At times it felt like they were the only two villains in the entire galaxy, with every other sinner, monster and libertine either remaining in the shadows or living in complete denial about their own morality.

Soon.

Her thoughts went towards her bond sister, who seemed to be caught static in a state of frigid rage...or...she was, until not so long ago, where through their bond she felt a twisted kind of mirth. Now, that was a cause for concern. Had Sopher Jakobs had his first encounter with Nemene Talith? Bile sat thick and acidic in her throat at the very concept.

Best not to dwell upon that conversation, and so as prisoners tended to do, Evelynn sat and she waited.

Then, Daella stood before @[member="Evelynn"]’s cell. Her face was slightly darkened by a shadow due. Yet, her steel blue eyes managed to pierce through as she stared at Evelynn with a blank expression. Daella wore a green cloak that covered what she wore beneath. The hood was down with her bright, yellow hair visible to Evelynn.

Not a word escaped the Jedi’s mouth.

A horrible feeling of dread crept upon the girl's consciousness, and it wasn't from the bond. That was a curiosity. If it wasn't Nemene giving her the willies then what was it? The girl opened her eyes and found herself immediately startled, letting loose a light gasp.

What a creeper.

The girl's brows furrowed and she responded with a stare of her own, granite orbs peering into blue. What, was this the zoo? Come and stare at the amazing monstrous sister Queens of Rattatak, only five credits for a ticket.

Evelynn gave this woman no verbal response, of course, she was mute so that was par for the course.

This moment had been expected.

Within this cell her connection to the force was smothered, dampened, there was absolutely no chance that she would have been able to communicate telepathically with the gawking woman. Not in here at least. The girl smiled at [member="Daella Apparine"] before shaking her head slowly, indicating towards her throat.

If this woman wished to gain any knowledge from Evelynn they would have to converse elsewhere.

Although, given that her hands were restrained and there was a shock collar sitting nicely around her neck what danger could there be?

Daella continued to glare at [member="Evelynn"] for a few seconds after the imprisoned woman gestured to her throat. Then, Daella turned to a console near the door and flipped some switches. A loud thump rang out as the door to Evelynn's cell unlocked. Her right hand was also unrestrained.

Fearlessly, Daella walked into the cell. The door remained open behind her. Daella's right hand emerged from beneath her green cloak. Her lightsaber was briefly revealed to Evelynn. In Daella's hand was a datapad. The note taking application was what could be seen on the screen. An Aurebesh keypad was available to type things.

Without much care, Daella dropped the datapad by Evelynn's right arm. It would still be able to work.

Once again, Daella demanded from Evelynn, "Your name, now."

Oh, of course!

Catching the datapad with her now freed right hand, it was a wonder that nobody had actually thought of this method of communication yet. With the exception of [member="Daella Apparine"] the entire galaxy was apparently full of idiots.

The girl raised a curious eyebrow, before she began to type upon the keypad. Rat-ta-ta-ta.

Evelynn.

The girl frowned, Kaine Zambrano had technically stripped the mute of her surname. There was only Evelynn. Although really, what was the loss of her last name? Just words, that's all it was, words and symbolism. For a moment she sat and pondered, looking up at [member="Daella Apparine"].

Dorn.

A pause.

I no longer use it.

Grateful that they did not delve into the topic of her mother, Evelynn still found herself frowning, this was a trickier subject. What if she revealed information to [member="Daella Apparine"] that Nemene would have been none too happy about? What should have been concealed? What revealed?

Already the young woman had spent too long sitting there still staring at the keypad, thus making it evident that this topic gave her a touch more anxiety.

My bond sister, Nemene.

Another pause, and her fingers made an addendum.

Talith.

It is a Force bond.

Her eyebrows furrowed in frustration. The questions, although not difficult were coming in very swiftly. Evelynn had half-expected sentimental compassionate Jedi to come, urging redemption and hope. Instead she had been given [member="Daella Apparine"], who was apparently a Master stoic.

We are unsure of the nature of the bond, it needs more study.

I would say it has been a couple of years.

There was a moment, the Silent Sister looked up into the blue of [member="Daella Apparine"]'s eyes and scowled. This time Evelynn typed furiously, which only served to make the girl look petulant and ridiculous.

I am an equal, not an accomplice.

Giving no comment on Evelynn's insistence on being equals, Daella once again asked without hesitation, "For what reason did you commit such acts of torture, murder, and kidnapping with Talith?"

This question had to come sooner or later.

Evelynn stared at the Jedi again, at first it was a vacant stare but sure enough along crept a smile. It was sinister and held no regret for the countless lives that had been lost to their atrocities. Without looking back down at the keypad she typed two simple words.

For fun.

After questioning [member="Evelynn"] non-stop for over a minute, Daella paused for several moments. She squinted her eyes. Her eyebrows narrowed. The only thing she said was in a disgusted tone, "For fun?"
