ADVANCED SYSTEMS
STRENGTHS
  • Command Battlecruiser: The Heresiarch was designed as a mobile command center for gifted commanders employed by the Sith Empire, and was thusly outfitted with state-of-the-art communication systems that allowed for seamless and efficient communication between the Heresiarch and other warships.
  • Powerful Warship: Outfitted with turbolasers, ion cannons, deck cannons, mass drivers, and a slew of missile launcher emplacements, the Heresiarch Command Battlecruiser is a monstrously powerful warship capable of going toe-to-toe with multiple enemy vessels without much effort. Thanks to its equally powerful shields and defensive equipment, it can take as much of a beating as it can dish out.
WEAKNESSES
  • Rear Blind Spot: A recurring flaw in Imperial designs is a fixation on frontal assault capabilities, sacrificing rear-facing weapon emplacements in lieu of powerful ventral and dorsal cannons that are better suited for shooting forwards and to the sides than backward.
  • Low Maneuverability: Like most battlecruisers its size, the Heresiarch substitutes swiftness for firepower. While it can achieve pretty admirable forward momentum for a five-kilometer craft, it has difficulty in changing direction once it's in motion.
DESCRIPTION

A direct successor to the Imperator-class Star Battlecruiser, the Heresiarch is nearly twice as long as its predecessor and is considerably more advanced in every conceivable way. Measured at a staggering five kilometers from prow to stern, the Heresiarch is one of the largest non-dreadnought sized warships ever produced by the Sith Empire.

If one skims along the dorsal surface of the Heresiarch, they would be faced with the daunting image of hundreds of weapon emplacements ranging from small anti-starfighter point-defense cannons to gargantuan megalasers, and everything in between.

The same is true for the ventral hull as well, the monotony wasteland of offensive weaponry only momentarily broken by a hangar bay capable of holding a max total of nineteen starfighter squadrons, along with a varied assortment of cargo haulers and officer shuttles.

As the Heresiarch line continued in production, they began to slowly phase out the older Imperator battlecruisers across the Empire. Border sectors and other high-priority zones were privileged in receiving the first of these mighty vessels, with the rest of the Empire soon to possess them in equal measure.

Affiliation: The Sith Empire Production: Limited
Per the current template, "limited production" needs to be more narrowly defined than a major faction. From the template:
Limited (Only one small group of characters. IE: Small task force, not entire factions.)
Otherwise, this looks ready for approval.

[member="Darth Carnifex"], the example given is a small task force, which I would interpret to be a specific military command within the Sith Empire.

I realize that this doesn't seem to match the intent of this sub to give out to specific commanders. If these commanders are somehow organized into a group within TSE itself (such as the Emperor's inner circle, etc), that would work. If you can think of another way these commanders are organized and separate from TSE (ex. all commanders stationed or from Korriban, etc), I can see that working as well.

Alternatively, you may want to consider upping production to semi-unique and then naming the individual ships here in the submission. That way, you can give out the named ships to individual commanders as you see fit.

Affiliation: The Imperial Admiralty [TSE Admirals & Sith Lords]
While I think that a ship this size in limited production isn't going to be something exactly field like a small task force (who fields task forces of battlecruisers?), this effectively looks like it's most of a major faction's PCs, which I don't think counts towards a small group within a major faction. Perhaps another way to look at this affiliation could be a subfaction within TSE.

Admirals can only be appointed by TSE staff, typically for exemplary skill in fleeting in both factions threads and threads like invasions, rebellions, and skirmishes.

And SIth Lords have the authority to requisition almost any naval asset within the Empire.

[member="Darth Carnifex'], I don't see an issue with any PC admirals (and even a handful of NPC admirals) using these. The Sith Lords though, regardless of their IC ability to requisition assets, is going to be a "no-go" from me, based on the number of Sith Lords from what I've seen in TSE roleplays. That vastly breaks through the idea of a "small group", especially for an asset this large.

In addition, I'm going to highlight another portion of the affiliation...

Limited (Only one small group of characters. IE: Small task force, not entire factions.),...Characters refer to NPCs & PCs.
In other words, as it currently reads, this means that it's also open to NPC Sith Lords within TSE.

This needs a narrower affiliation then simply "Sith Lords".

The submission has been moved. Please remember to include a summary of any changes and then tag a member of factory staff to move the submission back into the correct forum for rejudgment.
