"I will recreate my father's dream and twist it for the betterment of others."
Corporation Name: Heralds of Chaos

Headquarters: StarForge Station

Locations: The Heralds of Chaos mainly patrol areas just outside of Levantine Sanctum space, such as the Chiloon Rift. Yet they have also been known to travel as far as the Kathol Outback in pursuit of the all-powerful credit.

Operations: Buccaneering, Privateering, Piracy and all around Scallwaggery.

Rationale: Katya Shorn was raised in the Chiloon Rift, captured by slavers, then rescued by Disciples of Twilight who trained her. They instilled a sense of 'shadow justice' in the girl, which she took and expounded on with her crew. It all started when she joined a privateer and challenged the captain to combat. She'd won handily and with her new tyranny she'd fashioned the ideal that sits at the core of the Heralds.

Tier: 2

Description: While the Heralds are pirates they do have a strict code as laid down by Katya Shorn, which she inherited from a cabal of Disciples of Twilight. They raid the richest and most exploitative corporations and nations in the galaxy, but they refuse to kill unless absolutely necessary. Raids consist of ion cannons and conner nets followed by boarding parties armed with weapons set to stun.

Their main port of call is the Starforge Station, but they have been known to take their holds of swag to fences in Sanctum and Fringe space, where the swag usually fetches a fine price.

Articles of Agreement

  • Every member is entitled to an equal share in the plunder and a single vote in Matters of Ship and Crew.

  • The Captain and Quartermaster have equal authority, but the Captain has absolute authority during battle.

  • At any time a vote may be called to determine captaincy or quartermaster. A captaincy may only be won by a two-thirds majority in order to prevent divisiveness among crews. If the vote is split a combat challenge can be issued. The loser will be marooned on the nearest uninhabited planet. The victor will be Captain.

  • If any crew member is caught stealing, that crew member will be marooned on the nearest uninhabited planet.

  • If a crew member murders another crew member he or she will be made to walk out the airlock.

  • In the case of a quarrel between crew members combat will be settled on the nearest planet, with the loser being left there.

  • If a crew member neglects his or her tasks that crew member will not partake in a share of the next prize.

  • During a raid there will be no meaningless slaughter.

  • Any slaving ship will not be shown this mercy. Upon capture every slaver on board will be executed. Those captured will be offered the chance to join the crew. If they refuse they will be brought safely to Levantine Sanctums space.

Articles of Confederation

  • In the event that another pirate crew wishes to ally with that of the Heralds the new crew will be expected to obey the last article of agreement and withhold wanton killing sprees.

  • A crew allied with the Heralds will remain separate and sovereign unless they wish to be incorporated.

  • Upon incorporation the combined crew will vote on captaincy and adhere to the aforementioned Articles of Agreement.

  • Any allied crew will not participate or conduct raids against the Levantine Sanctum.

  • Any allied crew will not condone, participate, affiliate or in any way comport with slavers.

Upon joining the crew every pirate swears to uphold the code and the articles, hand held over Shorn's vor'cha stun stick.
