- Isolationist Mindset: Centuries spent alone have dulled Henbane's political instincts. He mistrusts galactic institutions and often avoids collective action until forced.
- Reluctant Combatant: Though capable of defending himself, he prefers to avoid conflict. His hesitancy to kill can put him and others at risk during critical moments.
- Force Over Flesh: His aging body is sustained by the Force. In Force-null zones or areas of suppression, Henbane weakens rapidly- his joints lock, his balance fails, and he can become nearly immobile.
Body of Bark, Bones of Dust: Centuries of wandering have taken their toll. Henbane's physical body which is kept moving by the Force, is slow and brittle. Prolonged combat strains him, and younger foes can overwhelm him with speed or endurance.
BIOGRAPHY:
Henbane was born in 67 ABY, a time when the galaxy was still recovering from war with the Yuuzhan Vong. The Draethos grew up for a short while on a planet of the same name, before Jedi came searching for Force Sensitives. They quickyl discovered Henbane who was strange for his species, while most of them were warriors, Bosk prefered to be among nature, getting lost in the rocky forests of his home planet. The Jedi quickly took Henbane for training, and he would not step back on Draethos for a very very long time. Though with their physiologies, time wasn't an enemy here.
Training with the Jedi on Ossus wher another famous Draethos, Odan Urr studied centuries before. He spent his life from that moment on learning the ways of the Force. He would take to the flora and fauna, spending days, even weeks, in woods and jungles living among the wilderness. He was knighted nearing the turn of the second century ABY, Henbane continued to make a name for himself amongst the Jedi. He became somewhat of a cryptid among the Jedi, with his aversion to combat, you would ony see him among his plants or randomly in a library researching. He never went to formal events, and he spoke only when summoned. He proved to be a powerful Jedi nonetheless, using his knowledge of the living Force to bend the battlefield to his will. He honed his ability to control the speed in which plant cells grew, using the jungles of the planets he visited as his personal protection. He learned to calm fauna with a simple touch, to bring gundarks to a halt with just a breath.
He would go on to live several decades traveling from star system to star system, doing what he could to help in exchange for infromation about local flora. He took on a few apprentices during this time, losing two of them and leading him even further into his hermetic lifestyle.
Years after his knighting, and just before the rule of Darth Krayt, Henbane was given the title of Jedi Master. He was an accomplished healer and botanist, keeping a large garden on the Jedi planet Ossus, and one of the largest collections of plants in the Jedi Order. During the Sith conflict, Henbane knew that he was to be called into the galaxy. The Force called him across the stars, telling him he needed to go where the fires were. So he did, after the Jedi Order nearly died on Ossus, Henbane's connection to the Force almost killed him. The massacre was such a devestating wound in the Force he took nearly a year to recover. He wasn't able to feel the Force the same way for decades.
The Draethos Jedi Master went into a self imposed exile afterward. He spent years traveling the galaxy, trying to lose himself. For hundreds of years afterward, Henbane would become a whisper among those who still believed, of the Jedi Master. He knew not to stay in one place too long for fear of being hunted down. Eventually the Jedi started up again, but this time around, Henbane knew his place was with the living Force, and those that lived outside the Republic or the Jedi. He used his powers and compassion for good, instead of the war machine.
Then the Gulag Virus hit, and for decades Henbane traveled the galaxy, healing those he could, and comforting those he couldn't. He did this until it was obvious that no one was winning against he plague. That is when he went into his second self imposed exile, this time he made it his mission to find something that would help with the spread or curing of The Gulag Virus. He traveled to many backwater planets with diverse life, studying the plants, learning how they grew. While none of them healed the Gulag Virus, he did master his knowledge of plant life. He learned to feel the plants through the Force, and if around them long enough, could make them bountiful bloom after bloom.
In the last 100 years, Henbane has found himself living on Parcelus Minor, helping the natives regroup after the Goulag Virus nearly wiped out their entire species. He doesn't know it yet, but he is about to be blasted back into the galaxy again.
