SPECIAL FEATURES
  • Lightclub Strengths
  • Deflector Emitter
STRENGTHS
  • Lightclub Strengths: Larger than most of her known compatriots in the Jedi Order, Mrurh'en'lase prefers to utilize larger weapons to compensate for her increased reach. The Lightclub emits a much larger blade with a very wide range for both thrusts and swings, along with a strong advantage in blade clashing due to enhanced striking power.
  • Deflector Emitter: Known for her difficulties in efficiently defending against ranged combat, Mrurh'en'lase implemented this custom emitter mechanic. This was to ensure that her ranged defense was on the up and up in comparison to her more dextrous and defense-oriented compatriots who lack the difficulty in deflecting blaster fire.
WEAKNESSES
  • Size and Weight: As with most weapons of greater size, Hel's Lightclub is difficult - although not impossible - to take into areas of limited sizes such as corridors, caves, jungles/forests with heavy canopies, tunnel systems. As such, Hel will often attempt to avoid either using the blade should she be forced into combat in areas such as this, or avoid the areas altogether. Neither are very efficient in the long run.
  • Wonky Design: Built with the pain of a troubled mind and hurt body, this lightsaber is of a large, clunky, and altogether wonky design that makes it quite a hindrance to wield due to the surface space it takes up in its wielder's hands. Additionally, the lack of plating in some areas - especially the center of the hilt - perhaps limits the lifespan of the blade, despite it being certainly functional, and opens it up to unprotected strikes by quicker opponents or ranged opponents with precise aim.
DESCRIPTION
In the aftermath of the
Invasion of Ziost, Padawan Mrurh'en'lase felt lost and alone. Where emotions should have been tempered by her time in the Jedi even at a disadvantage of youthful experience, where anger and fear should have been on the path towards control - if not complete removal - Mrurh'en'lase was in a state of turmoil. Not minutes onto the ground, the Hybrid had lost control by the sight of the she-wolf, the traitor of the Jedi known as Laertia Io, and charged into combat with blind fury like that of a Sith. And in a display that showcased almost nothing that she had learned from her masters, Mrurh'en'lase not only lost the fight to Laertia Io - barely escaping the traitor's ship after an attempted capture - but also lost her prized weapon. Hel's Tooth tumbled off the bridge of Ziost's academy and into the depths of the rocky inclines below.

Mrurh'en'lase was weaponless, humbled, and embarrassed in one fell swoop. Without the iconic weapon of the Jedi, the young Padawan was now nothing more than a broken waste of air and time for the New Jedi Order. Or so she thought. Begrudgingly accepting the guidance of the wizened healers of the Order, Mrurh'en'lase went about constructing a new lightsaber more in line with the traditional sense of what a Jedi's lightsaber should be. Unsurprisingly, Mrurh'en'lase still chose to go beyond what their expectations were and went about crafting a lightclub to grant her greater power in combat and ensure it was large enough that she could never lose it. Naturally, these blatant desires and fears were of concern to the chagrined Jedi who oversaw Mrurh'en'lase's treatment, and it was a matter of discussion of whether they should keep her on the sidelines and reintroduce her to the earliest levels of Padawan and even pre-Padawan training.

What kept them from doing this was the intervention of Mrurh'en'lase's few true friends in the Order, who spoke on her behalf as veterans of Ziost themself. Being half-Zeltron, the young Padwan was subject to the heightened emotions of every combatant in Ziost academy during the chaos that erupted with the opening of the Sith relic. Swearing herself to increased training regimes, studies, and academic examinations, Mrurh'en'lase was granted her return to the field upon the completion of her new weapon. Surprisingly - and perhaps the last nail being removed from her coffin - the kyber crystal that called to the young padawan during the construction did not shift itself to the color of orange when placed inside its chamber. Instead, it produced a vibrant blue color typical of Jedi Guardians, perhaps indicating that Mrurh'en'lase herself was on the path to a brighter and healthier future.

Only time will tell if that is true or not.
