Sure thing! The character creation area: http://starwarsrp.net/forum/51-character-creation/has the template for writing up a character as well as some helpful tips. You can use the writer's account - which you are on now for your character - or make a character sub-account. Once you've written your bio, just post it it there, and you're all set to start RPing.

It's a little confusing at first, but you'll get the hang of it with time. :)

[member="wan desley"] and if you want to make a sub account, click on your profile and then up to the right hand side should be a button that says "Characters". Click that and there be and add account option.
