OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
Helixium is perhaps the rarest and most expensive of Helix's anomalous metals, and for good reason.
Helixium is a marvel of metallurgy, enough so that the perpetually-arrogant warlord simply couldn't resist naming it after himself. Forged in the heart of the Privateers' Otherspace-based mineralogical laboratories, it is the crowning triumph of that line of creations.
Helixium is pale, almost colorless in hue, and bears a disturbing semi-translucency in its natural state, appearing as a baffling fusion of metal and crystal. Fortunately, Helixium can hardly be said to possess a "natural state" at all.
Helixium's molecular structure is somewhat unstable, and under the right stimuli, it can temporarily mimic the properties of some of Helix's other metallic alloys. This can include taking on the self-repairing properties of Helsteel, the chameleonic camouflage of Shiftsteel, or the electrotraumatic reactions of Storm Iron.
More importantly, Helixium is entirely immune to the effects of the Force. It is Voidstone perfected, taken from its natural habitat and bent to the will of Helix. Even the mightiest arcs of Sith Lightning or a Force Push sufficient to topple a skyscraper will fail to elicit more than smug silence from Helixium. Likewise, it cannot be sensed, manipulated, or otherwise altered by the Force or Force-based effects.
This immunity works rather differently from others found in nature. It possesses no significant "bubble" of protection, and an object made of Helixium may be the only thing left standing after a particularly mighty display of Force abilities. It offers no defense to anything nearby: only itself. For short periods, this immunity may be suppressed, in the same manner which Helixium takes on the properties of other materials.
This unfortunate limitation aside, the results are considered to be well worth it. Given the costs and complexity of production, this substance is quite uncommon, and raw samples are kept under tight military guard. It is usually only seen in high-priority materials, arms, and armor.

- Manufacturer: Helix Privateers
- Affiliation: Helix Privateers
- Market Status: Closed-Market
- Model: N/A
- Modularity: No
- Production: Semi-Unique
- Material: Helsteel, Otherplasma, Voidstone
- Force-suppressant
- Capable of mimicking the properties of certain other materials
- Anti-Magic Zone: Helixium in its default state cannot be affected by the Force, and prevents anything constructed from it from being similarly effected.
- Molecular Flex: Helixium's exact chemical structure is malleable. Under the correct stimuli, it is capable of temporarily taking on the characteristics of other Helix-made materials.
- Skin-Deep: Helixium's Force-Resistant effects halt shortly beyond its own surface. Unlike the three-meter bubbles projected by Ysalamiri, or the hundred-meter dampening zone of Voidstone, it offers no defense to anyone or anything nearby.
