Intent: To create a stealth overlay that doesn't use a stealth field
Development Thread: N/A
Manufacturer: Hekler'Kok Defense Industries
Model: Stealth Overlay Mark I
Affiliation: Independent
Modularity: Different Colors
Production: Mass-Produced
Material: Blaster Resistant Cloth, Kevlar and Liquid Nitrogen
Description: The Stealth Overlay was designed as a cheap stealth system that doesn't rely on a stealth field to keep hidden. The threads come in different colors, black and grey for urban areas, tan for desert and greens for woodlands. To avoid detection from heat seeking methods, the Overlay has three layers, the outer threads, the blaster resistant cloth and kevlar and a liquid layer, the liquid layer is made of Liquid Nitrogen, but to prevent it from boiling of contact, the layer is insulated, making sure that the nitrogen doesn't touch anything warmer than it. While it is light-weight, it can stand up to a blaster bolt or up to a 5.56mm round, of course this does nothing for explosives and if a explosive device exploded near the wearer, it would tear the Overlay apart and might even cause the nitrogen to boil and in that case the wearer will have to dispose of the Overlay or risk high degree burns.

Classification: Multipurpose

Weight: Varies
Quality: Class 2

  • Internal Cooling System
