DESCRIPTION
When all is said and done, the headquarters for Hegemonic Automaton is just like any other heavily defended civilian building. Thanks to lax laws regarding corporations arming and defending themselves, Hegemonic Automaton was able to take some liberties in making sure its headquarters was capable of defending itself from outside threats. A grand total of twenty-five turrets permeate the outside of the building, and an abnormal amount of security droids can be found either patrolling the halls, the outside of the building, or standing vigil at at key areas.
Getting into the building without proper identification is difficult. Even if someone were to forge an identity, facial scanners that are capable of penetrating holo shrouds are also an issue. Much of Hegemonic Automaton’s research and development takes place within the building, and those rooms are kept carefully sealed. Redundant generators and doors that are capable of magnetically sealing also dot the facility and create choke points to hold any clandestine raiders or saboteurs. There are four security hubs from which Hegemon Towers' security systems can be controlled. Two in the larger tower, H1, and two in the smaller tower H2.
Thanks to the immense corporate clout on Lianna (mostly due to the Tion Hegemony), law enforcement and emergency response to disturbances at the headquarters will be swift, severe, and possibly disproportionate. Despite that, the Hegemon Tower still comes equipped with a total of four deflector shield generators (two on each tower) to protect it from lunatics attempting to destroy it from orbit or with spacecraft.
For the sake of the thousands of employees working there, let’s hope it’s enough.
HISTORY
Upon metamorphosing into Hegemonic Automaton, the new leadership of the company decided that it would be more befitting of them to find a nicer planet to situate their headquarters on. Unsurprisingly to those in the know, Hegemonic Automaton chose the capitalist paradise of Lianna, in the heart of the Tion Sector.
The headquarters on Lianna was renovated from an old building in the Commercial District, within Lianna City. Once renovation was complete, Hegemonic Automaton slowly transitioned from the headquarters on Ord Cestus to the new building on Lianna. It now remains there, more heavily fortified and secure than ever before. Upon transferring, the company's leadership noted they would have trouble making ample use of every single floor in the buildings. To bring in some more revenue and spread some Tionese good fortune, minor Tionese nobles and corporation owners are permitted to rent out space in the building for paltry fees.
The individual fees might be paltry, but stacked together provide an ample chunk of revenue.
