  • Affiliation: Brotherhood of the Maw
  • Classification: Support Troops, Champion Killers

COMBAT INFORMATION:
  • Unit Size: Small
  • Unit Availability: Rare
  • Unit Experience: Elite
  • Equipment:
    • Armor:
      • Leather armor, belts or even no physical armor at all. Their bodies are often covered with ritualistic tattooes, believed to provide them protection from Force Powers
    • Weapons
      • Primary: Dark Side Force Powers
      • Secondary: Power maces, Force Blades, Saber pikes
  • Combat Function: The Heathen War Shamans are deployed as infantry units meant to find and kill enemy champions and commanders, or perform ritualistic attrocities to cause force-enhanced dread upon the enemy.
Strengths:
  • Blessed by the Gods. Deeply corrupted by the powers granted to them by their dark patrons, these Shamans are immune to fear, careless for their well-being.
  • Architects of Fear. The Shamans are masters of Force Fear. Something that they use, when they are not after enemy champions, by forming large totems made out of deformed half-living carcasses of the enemy troops, causing a battlefield-wide Force Fear effect.
Weaknesses:
  • Armor of the Force. The Shamans have no physical armor, with only their force-enchanted runes carved on their bodies being their protection. Should they are exposed to Force Nullifying field, they stand basically unarmored.
  • Soulbound. Should the Shamans fall in battle, any effect generated by their nightmarish magic fades.
HISTORICAL INFORMATION
The twisted magic of the Heathen Priests many believe it knows no bounds. Some veterans of the wars waged against the feared Brotherhood tend to vouch for that claim... With the powers granted to them by the Avatars, the Heathen War Shamans enter the battlefield to remind this claim to all who oppose the Maw. Protected by the marauder hordes, the Heathen War Shamans collect the parts and brutalized bodies of the enemy troops that fall before the Maw, giving them unlife through unholy means, only to bind them against eachother in an amalgam of horror and wicketness, being the great Totems. Upon completing these dark battle shrines, the Heathen Shamans enchant them, to generate a massive wave of Force Fear across the battlefield's nearby land, tremendously boosting their horde's advance.

When, on the other hand, such unholy support is not so necessary, or when the Brotherhood faces a most worthy foe, the Shamans are sent out with a much, much more vital task: Slay the Enemy Champions, collect the skulls and bones of the greatest warriors, to crush the morale and break the enemy armies! Their powers in the Dark Side prove a major weapon against any army or champion, with the Shamans usually remaining in teams, fighting through either force-enchanted brute weapons, or, mostly prefered by them, their horrifying magic, while the enemy champion is swarmed by waves of marauders, like a hyena pack strike.
