SPECIAL FEATURES
  • Cortosis vibroblade to both short circuit lightsabers and cut deep.
  • electrostaff tech on blunt end of pole arm.
  • Small hook for catching weapons and other uses.
  • Phrik pole.

STRENGTHS
  • Cutting Edge: The blade of the naginata is not only made of cortosis, as the short out lightsabers, but of vibroblade technology. This blade can cut deep and pure.
  • Electric Judgement: The blunt end of the pole arm boasts an electrostaff point, capable of both bludgeoning and zapping. The electrical current can be adjusted between lethal and non-lethal settings.
  • Reach: As a pole arm, Hazukashi has an extended reach.
  • Versatile: The nature of the blade, the hook below the blade, and the blunt electrostaff end all allow for a variety of uses and functions for a single weapon.

WEAKNESSES
  • Not A Lightsaber: Despite the blade being quite sharp, it is not a lightsaber. It cannot cut through solid materials such as metal or redirect blaster bolts.
  • Tight Spaces: While the grip on the shaft can be shifted for more controlled and close ranges, the pole arm still is not suitable for tight spaces and corners which require dexterity.
  • Length And Luggage: Despite being easy to carry in terms of weight, a large stick with ouchy things on the ends is still difficult to carry in tight crowds and spaces. One of the ends could whack an object, or trip a person walking around the carrier, or just jab into someone's poor spleen.

DESCRIPTION
During the battle between the Empire and Galactic Alliance at Ilum, Aoki Mira had faced off against the opponent Aaran Tafo Aaran Tafo in a duel both physical and philosophical. During that fight, her opponent had broken her katana. Utaken, the family heirloom, shattered and scattered, scarring Aoki in the process. The entire battle heavily effected her, and Mira felt unworthy of the sword, and incapable of reforging it. With great remorse, she put away her family's weapons and retired the broken sword. She also refused to wear the armor she wore at Ilum again. The Defiling of Ilum had broken her.

However, as an Atrisian warrior, Aoki still needed a primary melee weapon. Unable to pick up another katana, she instead turned to the traditional naginata for inspiration. Contracting the same Serenno sword smiths who had forged her side arm blades, she asked for a primary weapon she could trust. And indeed, the weapon smiths delivered. The naginata she received was forged with a phrik shaft and cortosis vibroblade. And electrostaff tech was added to the blunt end of the shaft, and a hook was added below the blade.

The weapon was incredible, and would serve Aoki well. However, she was unable to forget just what this naginata was replacing. What Utaken had meant to her, and what its shattering upon Ilum represented. Her failures, and the Empire's ugly Tarkinism. The naginata was woefully named Hazukashi, the Atrisian word for "shameful."
