Hauntruss Trapped and the Gyndine Conspiracy
Introduction
Gyndine, a former Galactic Imperial Fortress world and up until recently a Republic ally, but now a free agent in the galaxy. Due to the events of the Netherworld Rapture and constant wars of the Core - the Gyndanians have become more...pragmatic in their navigation of galactic politics. Gyndine is in effect controlled by the heavy industry super corporations. The government only a small administrating council compared to the greater resources of the Gyndine Corps. But, nevertheless wanton eyes gaze at its impressive orbital and surface-domed shipyards. For sometime now the Gyndine corporations have been building ships for anyone. Traders, Pirates, Frieghter Companies and various major factions - all under the nose of their closest neighbours the Galactic Republic. Of course the Republic had eyes and ears in Gyndine. Not to long ago there was a small rebellion of agents against one of the mega-corps. However, due to a gracious third-party the rebellion was destroyed and the corps regained their power.

This gracious benefactor of the Gyndine Corps was none other than the notorious Sith Lord - Darth Hauntruss. Darth Hauntruss and indeed her vile agents within the Sith Imperial Bureau and One Sith Intelligence had been keeping a quiet eye on the pragmatic world and it liberal attitude to allegiances. Hauntruss seeing an opportunity to cement deeper ties and advantages in areas outside of One Sith immediate control, had visited the world multiple times in an effort to gain trust of the corporations. To gain this Hauntruss flaunted before them a great contract of a project. A secret ship building contract in which the more hidden shipyards on Gyndine, hidden in large dome structures in non-disclosed locations in the forests of Gyndine would be used to produce a Star Destroyer code named: Project Q. The deal was struck and Hauntruss vanished from the world's records and meeting schedules to conduct the construction of her Imperial Inquisition and conduct the First Sith Crusade against the Core Enclaves of the Jedi in Dorin and Cularin. Since, then her agents have further consolidated the secret military arms treaty between the One Sith and Gyndine.

Now sometime later, the Gyndine Corporations and the One Sith are working on the formation of a military treaty - one that would place the Gyndine under covert protection against the Republic. Of course Hauntruss stalled these talks. Merchants sing to the tune of whoever is paying, the Republic could invade and take the planet an the corps would swing to them for the right price. No, all that Hauntruss wanted was her project completed. Now with her project almost complete, Hauntruss would be forced to return to the world and have her plans completed.

With a small contingent of Imperial Inquisition troopers and her closest attendants and advisor, in order to slip inconspicuously to the planet she only took a handful of ships. Arriving on Gyndine, her cohort landed near one of the secret dome shipyards on the surface called Area 67.

Area 67 Shipyards
Hauntruss from her seat within her command chair of the shuttle gazed down at the immediate region of what the Gyndine Shipyard Corporations called Area 67. It resembled more a fortress than a shipyard facility. A central enormous domed area held within it the stratablock tiers of the ship building factories. Adjacent to all this buildings was large tall sentry towers with connected garrison bases at their base. Remnants of the Imperial Fortress that was once here- now renovate for the use of the Gyndinians. Hauntruss held her hands in a prayer like clasp with her elbows rested on their arm chairs. The pilot of the shuttle informed the Sith Lady in a professional, "My Lady we will be landing near the landing port soon. You may prepare your departure." Hauntruss nodded and rose up to move to the landing hatch. The shuttle shook as it landed and the the mechanical sighs of the actuators lowered the hatch landing ramp.

Descending down the ramp Hauntruss' dark cloaked form was revealed to a group of Area 67 Shipyard Representatives. Leisurely strolling behind Hauntruss was her personal protocal/interrogator droid X3PO. Its black steel shun in the bright over head lights of the landing pad. Behind him was her collection of attendants and a small cohort of Stormtroopers, her personal Death Guard. Which would follow her as far as the vestibule. Darth Hauntruss turned to face her Stormtrooper commanders. "Commanders [member="Tmoxin Temi"] and [member="Cylus Jest"] please accompany me to the main facilities." Hauntruss then pointed to her special guest [member="Silara Kuhn"] to walk closer. Who else to assist Hauntruss in her negotiations than the master ambassador of the Sith. Hauntruss blinked a grin at the dark lady. "Come with me my lady." Hauntruss stretched out her arm in beckoning her to come to her side, "We shall deal with these merchants promptly and then be on our way. Soon enough my project shall be completed and the Inquisition will be finally...complete." Hauntruss then turned to face the Representatives. The Representative bowed and moved in to shake hands. "Lady Hauntruss what a pleasant surprise we hadn't expected your personal appearance we are honored." Darth Hauntruss shooked their wands and waved them away with a, "You may dispense with the pleasantries Representative. I want a full report on your progress."

"We are at 85% completion your excellency. The project requires a final mechanical validation test and certification." The representative nervously reported. Gesturing to an elevator that led to the under ground highway tunnel to the shipyard the group followed down the elevator shaft. "The Project Manager will be waiting for us at the main facility your excellency. I am sure you will be pleased with the Q's progress when you see it." Hauntruss' golden sith eyes glared down at the man, "I hope for your sake representative. I will not tolerate any delays. Q will be launched as planned."

Gyndine Urban Sprawl Near Area 67
In a dimmly lit backwater housing compartment four figures had gathered near a makeshift holoprojector. "The time has come brothers." One of them an older man spoke out in a righteous tone. "The tyranny of the Gyndine Corporations shall come to an end! In my hands I hold the truth of all their lies. As we speak they are building a monster for the One Sith bastards!" One of the younger members lunged forward in a reply, "Sebastian died getting this! Lets make this count!" An older woman leaned over the projector and punched in some commands. "We have contacted our Republic handlers ([member="Orick T'ane"] [member="Kian Karr"]) on Manaan. They should be sending in a fleet soon. And with their arrival we can begin our revolution! Our mercenaries ([member="Lurcano Car'dann"][member="Veino Garn"]) are standing by near Area 67's main Administration buildings. Once we give the signal we will all assualt the Admin Buildings cut the power and take control of the area. Our cells in the other Areas will conduct the same!"

Finishing her codes she began to punch in a connection number. "Stand by for call to the Republic."

Cylus Jest

Servant of the Inquisition
Cylus stood there, keeping an ever faithful gaze out for the inevitable one person who would try to shoot at them or something else ridiculously stupid. On a planet of business and risk taking there were always some who benefited from the less...proper trades.
Anyways, it was a good sized place they had landed at, though Cylus felt a bit exposed without the full force of the Inquisition backing them, or at least a larger force then they currently had.

Oh well, it was good enough. After all, this wasn't a crusade or a warring event of any kind, no, it was simply a chance for [member="Darth Hauntruss"] to conduct some sort of business which Cylus could give less blaster bolts about.

Well, it would probably be a few minutes until the idiots showed. He glanced around, taking stock of the group...looking for anyone interesting. He shook his head, this was no time for a social meeting. Besides, these troopers were stuck on guard duty with him, they probably had less contacts than a Wampa on Mustafar.

He guessed he would just let his mind wander...off into the great subjects of consideration. Not for the first time, he wondered why the others felt different about certain things. For a starter, they felt guilt over actions, intense guilt depending on it. Cylus...felt very little to none. The same with many of his emotions really, he'd never felt love nor rage nor joy. Only minor variants of them, at worst he would get upset about something or be mildly pleased.

Maybe he should talk to someone...no, talking to people would be showing weakness, and that was something one must never do in the One Sith. They valued strength and power, the ability to do what one must was valued too he supposed. They even valued ruthlessness in all reality, many of the Sith were supposed to be mass murderers or something of the sort. Darth Hauntruss had led a genocide at some point even. That was alright with Cylus, ruthlessness could be efficient, it was wiping the weak from the slate and leaving only the strongest and fittest to rule.
And Cylus would take no prisoners.

A gloved hand pulled the helmet down over matted brown hair, the piercing black visor and mouthpiece replacing where his brown eyes and mouth were visible seconds before. Another symbol of the might of the Stormtroopers and the ones they represented.

Kyle noted that some wore older armor to his, but it was unmistakable of their unification. Moving down behind the Sith Lord they were assigned to, [member="Darth Hauntruss"] and her Commanders, Kyle and the legion moved as one.

It wasn’t long before the orders came and the party broke away, and Kyle was standing back to guard the shuttle with a handful of others while the others did their duty. He would now do his. Serving as a solider and lawman was all Kyle had known, but with the Stormtrooper Legion now drafted in for the One Sith, he had a little more purpose than serving with CorSec as a anti-terror officer. Now he was part of a much larger machine making waves across the galaxy, and his skill and drive would ensure he was part of that machine and his name would be one that others would call for in times of need.

Self-proclaiming himself under the helmet as the ‘Harbinger’, he would be the one to show others what doom was following in his footsteps. With the armor on and emotionless visor piercing into the faces of the enemy, he would be a symbol of real justice and enforcement that paved the way for greater things and powerful leaders to follow. And he would be the one trusted and respected by them to accompany them in future campaigns – who knew, maybe one day he could be part of a personal special covert squadron or even lead a garrison.

But, for now, small steps. This was his first real assignment since coming back into service months before so this was a new galaxy to get the feel for. His E11 rested in his hands, complete with a small torch fixed to the top to shine where his bolts would go in the dark. The armor was comfortable and secure, and he felt alive in it.

Glancing left and right, seeing the others, his communication signal was attuned to that of the others so he would hear all correspondence from fellow troopers and that from the commanders when they activated their com.

”You ever get the feeling something really BAD is going to happen when it’s this quiet?”

He may be a trooper, but he was still a man, and would never for-go the ability to think and talk like a man even when he moved and acted like a cold killer on the battlefront.

[member="Cylus Jest"]

Wearing a fitted black Imperial uniform, tailored to her trim frame, Tmoxin strode behind [member="Darth Hauntruss"] and her gleaming black protocol droid. Sith Lady, [member="Silara Kuhn"] was at the Warmaster's side and the Commander's own troops both officers and soldiers alike were surrounding them on all sides.

Kept close at the Commander's gloved hand was [member="Cylus Jest"] who was a sure-fire candidate for promotion based on the dedication she had seen at the Morpho Center for Imperial Training on Lok. Most of the time, the Commander kept her eyes trained on Hauntress or whoever she spoke to but occasionally, she took the liberty of reviewing her own troops behavior, especially the newcomers like [member="Kyle Amedis"]. She knew everything about her troops, their background, skills, high and low career points. Even family members were not out of bound as you never knew when you needed collateral against traitorous behavior or even desertion. She knew everything there was to know about Soldier Amedis, aside from anything well-hidden.

But soon this would change. Not too long from this moment, Tmoxin would not be able to intimately study each member of the Monarchs or any of the soliders under her. Poised to take control of nearly 10,000 stormtroopers under the helm of Captain [member="Hans Vaiden"]. While this was true legion she had longed to control, she didn't relish the idea of being among all of those stuffy officers with their sycophantic fawning and their occasional backstabbing. Not Captain Vaiden who was a stalwart example of Imperial Command at its finest.

As the Hapan officer listened to the conversation between Warmaster Hauntress and the Area 67 Representatives it was clear by their nervous demeanor, the ship-builders were in over their heads. But they reported good news just the same about project Q.

Tmoxin was intrigued as the rest of them to see the progress of the top-secret project.

[In Orbit over Area 67 Shipyards]

The orbit around any inhabited planet would normally be considered hectic, to say the least. Imperial worlds were usually more ordered, as any infraction of instructions could be met with anything from a slap on the wrist, to destruction of said ship if orbital control deemed it necessary, or a cruel sith lord were on the scene. The orbit over Gyndine, by contrast, was clean. The few ships that weren't One Sith warships were sticking in their orbital queues very nicely, and were abiding by the no active scan restriction. Of course, the vast majority of ships over Gyndine were One Sith warships, and this included the 3rd Inquisition Destroyer Squadron, known as the Dark Fist Squadron, which was holding orbit over the Area 67 shipyards. The Nero Vengance, a Wyyrlok class Star Destroyer, was Tomas's flagship. Its two sister ships were combined with ten Vanguard class Heavy Cruisers in completing the combat vessels under his command. They were joined by a myriad of auxiliaries that were orbiting closer to the planet in order to enjoy the protection of the deadly squadron.

"Inform the squadron to maintain their interval. This formation will allow us to interdict the orbital approaches to Area 67 while providing maximum coverage for all ships." Tomas explained to his communications officer. The young woman was a bright young officer that Tomas was grooming for eventual fleet command. He stood and looked at a holo representation of his squadron. His ship was centered in the formation, with the other two Star Destroyers taking the far left and right flanks of the orbital interdiction. The heavy cruisers were in formation north and south, relative to the Star Destroyers being east and west, filling in the space in tiers. Two heavy cruisers were closest to Nero Vengance, with three being farther out, making an inverted pyramid with the flagship at its center. "Inform me of any communications from the shipyard or of any new contacts exiting hyperspace." Tomas finished as he turned and strode from the bridge, moving towards his stateroom to clear up some paperwork.

So much was happening at the moment. So many plans moving forward as they should, so many soldiers moving into their positions, and a multitude of emotions flowing forth. While many exhibited nervousness and the first-hand jitters of operating in such a high-profile mission such as this, Hans was completely and utterly calm. Steely green eyes scoured across the bridge of the Scourge, one of those old fashioned Imperial II-class Star Destroyers from the ages of old. Whether the galaxy liked it or not, this thing still packed more of a punch than anything else and looked good doing it.

That was how Captain Vaiden liked things. Calm, cool, collected, and stylish.

Speaking of style, he grimaced at his reflection against the glasteel viewport. Tanned fingers slid through his hair to comb it to the side. There we go.

"Captain, operations profile is progressing as intended. We're ahead of schedule as well, no errors to report, sir." The olive grey-uniformed bridge staffer reported. It seemed things were going even more smoothly than the Captain had expected. While everything was just peachy up in orbit, he hoped his newest detachment commander of the 182nd Stormtrooper Legion was doing alright. [member="Tmoxin Temi"] was such a great lass, albeit she lacked experience in commanding large sums of Stormtroopers and material. Be that as it may, Hans had absolute confidence in his crew's most recent addition.

"Good. Maintain that steady pace, Lieutenant." He strode past the man, careening himself over the sensor operator. "Launch all fighters. I want a sentry line about four kilometers out. Once that's done, standby for further orders."

"Aye, sir."

Cylus Jest

Servant of the Inquisition
Cylus nodded once to the fellow who had spoken up, was he feelinh nervous?
"Are you feeling nervous? Don't be."

That was simple enough, Cylus had heard of people getting nervous about things, personally it never had occurred with him. Things happened sometimes, most peoole thought so didn't they?

Who could tell, it wasn't his job to survey society anyway. Something lay at the back of jis mind as he looked out into the perimeter, expressionless thanks to his stormtroopers helmet.

"What does guilt feel like?" he asked, glancing back to [member="Kyle Amedis"]

[member="Tmoxin Temi"] [member="Darth Hauntruss"] [member="Hans Vaiden"] [member="Tomas Raynor"]

Kyle turned to look at the trooper who had spoken, identifiable by the fact he had turned to face him when he asked the question.

"No, no, I’m not nervous. Just love that feeling when you know it’s the calm before the storm all you can do is wait.”

And then, another question clicked in his helmet from the trooper which was a peculiar one.

"Guilt?” Kyle looked over.

"I can’t remember. I do what I’m told for a cause I believe, so I don’t feel guilty about my actions. I may regret choices I’ve made or not made, but that means there’s time to make them again in the future. What you feel guilty about?”

[member="Cylus Jest"] | [member="Tmoxin Temi"] | [member="Darth Hauntruss"] | [member="Hans Vaiden"] | [member="Tomas Raynor"]

Nothing.

It was what she saw, physically, at least. The world, to her, was now a world of sounds, smells, and vibrations. She refused to do what others in her place would have - she did not use the force to go beyond her blindness and see as she had before, rather she enhanced the remaining senses she had at the same rate that they naturally adjusted. For a while she felt weak, and it showed, but times changed and she adjusted - changed - everything she had done before was altered, from the style of lightsaber combat she favored down to the very method of using the force. She could have became defensive, overly protective of what festered and grew within her womb. This was to be her last hurrah, the last task she'd perform as the Dark Lord's Voice, whether it be through shame or with pride - she had neither. Through the years she had became more and more cynical, a realist, and while she was certainly the "new kid on the block" among the higher echelon of Sith Lords within the One Sith still she was already at a point in life where she needed to put her career down for the sake of someone else - one could call it weakness, pathetic, but she hardly cared. At the end of the day those who strode against her during her rise had all fallen, and the majority were dead. She had a potential heir to her knowledge and power, much like an apprentice but with the benefit of guaranteed success. Regardless of all these thoughts floating around in her head she followed the Sith lady, @Darth Hauntress, while intent on making the most of this trip to groom her over as her replacement.

One couldn't expect a pregnant newlywed to be on the front lines anymore, after all.

Cylus Jest

Servant of the Inquisition
Cylus stared at [member="Kyle Amedis"] for a long few moments, time stretching by as he pondered the question.
This was easy wasn't it? Just go through a checklist of things and ask yourself if you'd feel bad afterwards...

Would I kill an enemy to the One Sith...Yes
Would I kill a non-combatant against the One Sith, Yes
Would I kill a non-combatant by following orders, Yes
Would I kill innocents...children...destroy buildings of the greater good?
Yes.

His eye twitched slightly as he ended his mental checklist, he was sure that everyone didn't feel that way, the Sith might feel that way, but not everyone did.
Did that make him a bad person? Perhaps...perhaps not, he was simply following the logical path.

"Honestly, I don't think anything would make me guilty. What's your name?" he asked as he glanced around.

[member="Tmoxin Temi"] | [member="Silara Kuhn"] | [member="Kyle Amedis"] | [member="Hans Vaiden"] | [member="Tomas Raynor"] | [member="Darth Hauntruss"]

His helmet would nod, his body shift and fingers flex over the E11.

"Well that sets you above others at least. I'm Amedis. Kyle. And you?”

Looking outwards from the shuttle, Kyle saw the small congregation far ahead, and knowing this could be a long wait. But still, he was here to prove himself.

[member="Cylus Jest"] | [member="Tmoxin Temi"] | [member="Darth Hauntruss"] | [member="Hans Vaiden"] | [member="Tomas Raynor"]

Reaching a large open chamber, Darth Hauntruss was meet by the engineer commander and his crew who were in charge in seeing Project Q completed. A great viewing deck was opened before them as the group passed by a set of blast doors. Below the hulking mass of Project Q was revealed. It was a star destroyer than spanned an enormous size. This was to be Hauntruss' crown jewel within her Imperial Inquisition.

"How goes the preparations for launch, commander." Hauntruss hissed. The Engineer nodded and upon a datapad strapped to his forearm he projected the data of the project. "It is near completion my lady. The ship will be operational in the next ten hours or so. From there it will launch and be computer guided to your fleet near One Sith space." Hauntruss gave a look towards her companion and guest [member="Silara Kuhn"], "What say you my dear. An excellent contribution to the Sith Warmachine no? We could make guide use of this secret arrangement with the Gyndinian Corps." Turning away Hauntruss approached the ship.

Soon her plans would come to fruition and once the time was right - the full might of the Imperial Inquisition fleet would be assembled and completely under her direct control.

Hissing in glee she began whisper dark prophecies and beckoned [member="Tmoxin Temi"] to come closer and share her vision. "Soon my total force shall be complete, and the Republic along with their heretical conspirators shall be crushed."

But unbeknownst to here the forces of the light began to draw near.

[OOC: OK Jedi/Insugrent Mercaneries/Republic Forces it is your turn to enter the thread. Please don't do any attacking posts yet just prep and set up for you side like posts please.

Corvus sat in the cockpit of her Protector Class Corvette. It was a solid ship, ideal for Jedi missions. It was not designed for extensive combat - but it had one feature that was necessary today.

The proposed ‘Bastila Shan’ vessel was not ready and Corvus’ Ability was required so desperately that her standard ship was considered the second best option - albeit a way off the first choice. A very, very, very long way off.

For Raven II had a Meditation Chamber - as did all of these specific Corvettes. The plan was a simple one. She was currently in the hangar of a capital vessel and once they located an asteroid belt close enough to the planet to be useful but at a position where she could slip amongst the asteroids unnoticed, she would land on one and get to work.

For her work had been nine years in the making. It took a series of three Force Abilities to get to her current level of expertise but finally she had reached a level where she knew she could make a difference - a significant one.

So she sat and waited, reflecting on what she knew of the planet below. As an historian it was rich with stories but they counted for little today. For today they were here to stop the Sith and if the intelligence was to be believed, strike a significant blow against their most persistent enemy.

[member="Darth Hauntruss"] | [member="KIan Karr"] | [member="Orick T'ane"] | [member="Veino Garn"]

Ceska Starshield was onboard one of the capital vessel's smaller planetary landing craft. Her eyes were closed, sitting strapped into her bucket seat. She was present physically and mentally, but yet not, immersed in the Force as she was. Before the storm, she sought calm.

There was nothing to do but wait. This was what she wanted, after all, to fight against the most ancient of foes the Jedi had. More than the Jedi, the Force itself. The Dark had always threatened to engulf everything, never happy to remain where it should within the natural order of things. It could never be happy until it had consumed everything in it's wake including itself.

The Dark Side could only destroy and so it must itself be destroyed. Not because that was what she wished, and how she wished it were. No, because she couldn't stand aside and do nothing at all. She had to constrain her darker emotions, her desire to eliminate them all without mercy.

Some of them would be simple cronies and lackies, for the Sith were cowardly and hid behind the shield provided by living beings in the face of danger. But Darth Hauntuss, supposed to be here, would receive no such mercy from her. The Sith Lord was a criminal, a craven murderer and unrepentant within her evil. Her eyes popped open, wide and flaring with anger.

She had to take several breaths, deep and calming, expelling her anger and taking in the calm energies. Ceska closed her eyes again and resumed her meditation.

Lurcano Car'dann

"Kark you, I won't do what you tell me."
Rain pattered down, soaking the ground all around Lurcano as he laid prone a hundred or so meters away from the administrative building of Area 67. Behind him, a wide assortment of insurgent forces dotted the landscape. This was the widest scale operation he'd ever conducted. The insurgent forces had contacted their organization, obviously hearing of the recent conflict that had enveloped between the Ravens and the Sith. Being the Sergent-At-Arms, and one of the most skilled fighters available; Lurcano had been sent to aide the insurgents against the Sith, as they were gathering in force.

His most important and most valued possessions were at his sides. His two Tehk'la blades, capable even of piercing through light Durasteel plating. It was the primary reason he had been hired for this mission and Lurcano would take every chance he could to flaunt it. Along with the two Teh'la blades, he carried his two WESTAR 34's, and a Raven Gauss Rifle. Both weapons were complete with various different rounds that he carried in a pack strapped to his side. Along with his wide variety of weapons, he was also dressed in the armor he traditionally wore, and was ready for any combat that they might face. 'Time to rest out the Sith, and see what all the supposed "fuss" was about.

Radioing back in to the insurgent leaders, he confirmed his position. They were waiting for the opportune moment to strike at the Sith when they were the most vulnerable. Even as the forces on the ground moved into position, unbeknownst to the Sith; the Republic was moving into position as well. He was unsure what kind of support they would be sending in, but Lurcnao hoped it would be enough. Despite all the steps they had taken to ensure the success of their operation, the Sith were still a foe to be reckoned with.

"Hey, this is Lurcano radioing in. Jim, are you there?" The radio was silent for a moment as Lurcano radioed in to the resident pilot of the Red Tide, his own ship which he had ready anything he hadn't planned for occurred. Finally, static was heard before Jim's voice buzzed in. "Yea I'm here chithead. What do you want? Running with your tale in between your legs already from the big bad Sith?" A sigh escaped Lurcano, and if anyone could see his face it would resemble that of someone who was already quite immune to Jim's antics.

It had long ago stopped being amusing. 'Stopped being amusing? When the kark did it ever start being amusing?' "Shut your karking mouth. I'm just making sure everything is ready. Make sure Jennifer gets off of her lazy ass and helps with the fighting as well. And that's an order. We'll need all the bodies we can get." A chuckle was heard before Jim said, "Tell her yourself!" A kark you was heard, seemingly coming from across the room before the call went dead.

'The company I attract...' Lurcano just shook his head while he waited for the go call.

Gnost Dural
One Jump from Destination

Kian watched from the observation deck as the crew of the Gnost Dural scattered below, each going off to their perspective assignments and positions. Word had come in from the small group of insurgents when the Sith had arrived on Gyndine and Kian and the stealth vessel had been waiting patiently ever since.

Then word came that they were ready to fight.

Kian had immediately put out the word that the Gnost Dural should move into position. Kian's plan was simple, use the vessels stealth capability to keep it hidden in the corner of Gyndine space while he and his team infiltrated and captured [member="Darth Hauntruss"]. Kian, as the Master of the Shadows, had a bit of an obsession with Sith....but it was different with Darth Hauntruss. Kian's story and her own had been inexorably linked over the years he had joined the Jedi Order. Kian had seen first-hand the horrors that the Sith was willing to wrought on innocents and he had set his resolve to stop her.

That was why, when his asset on Gyndine reported Sith activity, Kian had started keeping an ear to the ground and his listening had payed off. As soon as he caught wind of Darth Hauntruss's involvement in the planet, Kian threw his resources at strengthening the resistance there. The Shadows wanted to take Hauntruss alive......Kian wanted to take Hauntruss alive.

"Sir, we're ready to make the final jump." Soli said walking up behind him. So lost in thought was Kian that he almost hadn't noticed her approach. "As is our little gift to the Grandmaster!" Soli said smiling eagerly.

"Very good." Kian said clasping his hands behind his back. "I want our jump to place us behind the asteroid belt for cover, we're move in from there on the interceptors." Kian said and Soli turned to go as she walked away Kian turned back to the crowd beneath him and called over his shoulder.

"And send the message to [member="Corvus Raaf"]," Kian said smiling beneath his mask, "That the Bastila Shan is ready!"

Summary: Kian is aboard the Gnost Dural a stealth ship which will be arriving in the next post, he is bringing with him the Bastila Shan for Corvus to use. Objective is to infiltrate and capture Darth Hauntruss!

Legs folded, eyes closed, and my chest rising and falling with steady breaths, I was attempting this strange thing called "meditation".

After about five seconds, I decided it was boring.

With a sigh, I unfolded my legs and stood up off the bunk that I'd temporarily commandeered as my own. I was too excited about this expedition to calm my mind, something I knew would probably irk my Master, but hey, I'd tried -- that was all that counted, right?

Stroking my montral with one hand, I looked around for my training lightsaber even as my mind went over what was about to go down. If I'd heard correctly, we were going to go toe-to-toe with the Sith, and this would be my first real battle with them. Before, the other Masters had thought I wasn't yet...mature enough for it, going on about how I'd get someone killed. While that was true a while ago, I felt pretty sure that now I'd be good.

At least, I hope I'll be good.

"Where's my training saber?" I muttered to myself, scouring the bunk room for my possessions. It was only when I knelt down to look under the beds that I found it. "Ah, hah. Gotcha." With a wriggle and a squirm, I pulled it out and attached it to my hip. "Now, what else am I forgetting...?" Oh, that's right -- my cloak. And my boots. And my utility belt. And food. Sigh.

As I attached the belt to my waist, I heard something that sounded like rocks clicking together. Frowning, I reached into the pocket and pulled out a small, round pebble and two purpley crystals. Oh, right -- my lucky pebble and the two crystals I'd found on Rhen Var. Ever since the, ah, incident, I'd taken to carrying these three around like good-luck charms. The crystals would eventually be used to create my own saberstaff, but... I didn't tell Karr or anyone this, but the reason why I still used my training saber instead of crafting my own, and the reason why I didn't use these crystals was because I didn't feel I was ready. The Jedi path was mine to take, now, but that didn't mean I was completely prepared.

Though, it wouldn't surprise me if my Master already knew. After all, he'd already known about my addiction.

Shaking my head lest the unwanted thoughts provoke less-wanted actions, I put the three stones back in my pocket and finished getting dressed. I then headed out into the hallway, where I ran into that little girl. Soli, I think her name was. She and I didn't get along too well, something which was evident in the way she pursed her lips. Though, granted, it probably didn't help that I thumbed my nose at her. Ah, well. She'd get over it.

Finally making my way to the observation deck of the Kel Dor's ship, I let out a sharp whistle to announce my presence. "Good day, Master," I greeted, a crooked grin on my face. "When will we kick some evil Sith butt?"

Talia, the elder woman who lead the underground pro-republic insurgents, paused as she received the all-green code from her agents and the Republic. She took in a deep breath and addressed her conspirators. "The code has been recieved. Operation Takedown is go." The rest of her comrades took a silent stare at the data projector. "For Sebastian and the Republic!" a younger man proposed. Talia nodded, "For the Republic." Turning abruptly she patched herself into a secret communications network and through non-verbal communication codes sent the command to attack to all her agents.

Near the control towers of Area 67, the urban sprawl area of 67 and inside the facility itself, agents received the code to attack, which simply read - A Hope Ignited. All at once the agents sprang into action. A tactical group stormed into the command tower of the shipyard facility of Area 67. A fierce fire fight exploded and the communication and power officers were all killed or taken prisoner. The squad went to quick work and breaking into the main control system shut down all the power to defensive shields and anti-personnel defence systems. Then the power all together was shut down and the facility was dropped into darkness. The security teams of the corporations were sent into complete disarray.

Then Talia, receiving the ok from Sqaud Alpha, sent a communication to the Republic Fleet and those waiting in the Republic task force, "We have deactivated the shields and defensive systems. Attack now! For the Republic!" Talia then adressed her comrades to follow her and together the entire insurgency was revealed. "Secure that transport shuttle near the facility! I Don't want that Sith Lord to escape!" Talia shouted and then a team of insurgents broke off to attack the shuttle which Hauntruss had left her stormtroopers to guard. While Talia and the rest for her band began a b-line for Hauntruss and her entorage.

The tremor and sound of a muted explosion made Kyle jump, turning in his fellow trooper in front of the ship.

"What the hell was that?”

He ran sideways to get a look with a handful of others and saw an explosion down below on the ground, below the landing pad where they were now stationed. Blaster fire soon started to spit outwards, slamming into the ship with a few lucky shots from the insurgents below.

"Defensive positions, we’ve got company!”

Kyle backed away, bringing his E11 up and kept low, ready to spring forward to hold the landing pad or move back to the facility to protect his Commander and the Sith as he was here to do without getting his head blown off in the process.

Veino glared up at the terminal wires above him that were scattered here and about. Not that it mattered. He wasn't actually a repairman and he wasn't here to fix it. He was here to throw a massive wrench in the One Sith development program. Explosions and blaster fire rippled through the air. Time to go.

He pulled himself out and rose to his feet, pulling his lightsaber, durasteel spheres, and several thermal detonators from the toolbox and belted them on. It was game time. Time for the Underground to strike a blow. He headed out of the shack, catching sight of an insurgent tactical squad and angled towards them. He'd link up with them and the rest of the Underground agents and see what havoc they could cause. Maybe even capture the head of the Inquisition.
