"You act like you've seen a ghost."

Delila chuckled at her own horrible joke. It was the first time she had been able to use that line and it felt right. Chalk it up for the first time she felt a little joy since all this had occurred. Delila watched as Mercy Mercy leaned in and started poking at her form. She couldn't feel a thing and decided it was best to let the woman entertain herself.

"Really? You trained under her? Small galaxy."

A small nod at the mention of Ashiin walking around in various bodies. Dells was certain hers wasn't the only one right now.

"Yep, stole my body. Very weird feeling, having your essence? pushed out as she forced herself in. Gave a bit of a fight but yes, it is very freaky. I won't lie, I am mildly impressed. Pissed, but impressed. Haven't figured out why me but maybe I just got lucky. Like winning at the casino? Certainly a small exclusive group to be a part of."

A small pause.

"Next time you see her you should tell her about this. I doubt she will be impressed but it amuses me to think about it."

It was a strange thing to consider.

Mercy knew that Ashin Cardé Varanin Ashin Cardé Varanin was not a good person. As much as she knew she herself was not a good one. This in itself Mercy didn't particularly care about. Morality was not something that came into the equation for her. But it was strange to think that Ashin was someone who would steal someone's body to make use of it.

That just seemed... petty, perhaps.

"Really? You trained under her? Small galaxy."

"In my experience people gravitate together. I guess some say that is the Force at work..." Mercy shrugged, she didn't go in for that sort of spiritual mambo-jambo, but it made sense... how many people she had encountered in her journeys.

People who ended up playing such vital roles in her life.

"Next time you see her you should tell her about this. I doubt she will be impressed but it amuses me to think about it."

"Does it not piss you off, knowing someone is using your body? Do you not want it back?" Curious tone, because in her shoes, Mercy would have been raging day and night.

"Of course it pisses me off, I just said as much." Delila shrugged slightly. "I don't believe there is much I can do. I would suspect someone trained in these techniques is far more powerful than myself, whether in life or death."

A small pause as she considered her next words.

"Besides, I'm not sure I should be alive again. No one has certainly missed me. I was working odd jobs in the far reaches of space, just a sad war veteran stereotype. Maybe things are better this way. I hadn't impacted anything for years. Maybe this is how I give back or...I don't know, find a purpose again. Not that I am certain I ever had one before. Just take orders, you know?"

Mercy smirked, tipping off Delilah that she had asked it again on purpose, just to see if she could draw a reaction out of the ghost. Could a ghost get actually angry? Was it capable of feeling that sort of emotion or any emotion at all, when there was no body attached to the spirit? No heart to pump the adrenaline.

Seemed it was possible however, interesting.

"I don't believe there is much I can do. I would suspect someone trained in these techniques is far more powerful than myself, whether in life or death."

"Varanin is powerful, yes." Mercy said with a nod with a bit of desire in her tone. What she would give to do a fight against Ashin Cardé Varanin Ashin Cardé Varanin and see if she could beat her.

She listened quietly to that, eyebrows raising, and once Delila was done Mercy sighed and poured herself another two glasses of whiskey.

"That is so fucking depressing, babes, if I was capable of it, it would make me an alcoholic." She immediately slammed one shot, then the other, gasping warmly at the sting.

"Maybe your lingering around is like..." Her hand gestured absently. "...unfinished business type of shit? You see it in the movies all the time. You got a bucket list or something you have never checked off?"

"Glad my life is depressing to you."

Dells chuckled at little, wondering if it was that bad. Things could have certainly been worse in her eyes. Could have been better. In between she had a lot of fun but direction grew aimless as she grew older. An issue with being a career soldier. When the body was too old what did one do? She had always been adverse to be one of those old stogies sending the youth into battle but not herself.

"Bucket list? Hmmm.....I did want to steal a chair from the Galactic Senate. Just to say I did. The Galactic Alliance has collapsed so that is out the window. Plus I don't think ghosts can really steal anything. There's the trouble. Physically altering the environment. I'm sure I'll drift off and see some interesting landscapes. Nebulas."

A small pause.

"Boring in comparison to theft but I'll make do."

"That's it, really?" She looked at her incredulously. "You are an invisible ghost - or well, invisible to most - that can appear anywhere. Can pass through anything and a chair is the best you can do?"

Mercy shook her head there, sad at the state of affairs.

"You could spy on anyone, see anything, hear everything... and nobody would know. Have you never wondered what the King of Naboo is doing in the privacy of his estate? Or what the Butcher King-" Mercy paused there as she considered the wild shit that Darth Carnifex Darth Carnifex would be up to in his abode where nobody was looking.

"Okay, nevermind, some things aren't meant to be observed, I suspect. But still..."

The large woman sighed and looked at Delila.

"Surely you can do better than looking at a nebula or stealing a chair?"

"I wanted to steal the chair when I was alive and put it in my ship. Impress all the other washed up old spacers. To steal a chair now, where am I going to put it? My ghost apartment?"

Delila scoffed at the idea of spying on Kings. Mercy Mercy was thinking like a conqueror. She would want to spy on them and use that information as leverage. Smart but not practical for a ghost. Who would she even gossip with? Such a thing seemed beyond most entities. Besides, the ones she encountered were focused on teaching scared students.

"I enjoyed my activities but voyeurism was never one. If I had credits I can certainly bet both Kings are busy with mistresses. That's a guarantee."

Shoulders shrugged.

"I doubt I could do better. I would have just croaked if I knew it would be this boring."
