TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS
STANDARD FEATURES
  • All standard features.
ADVANCED SYSTEMS
  • Excellent Turret Gyros: This vessel has an advanced form of turret gyros, enabling its laser cannons and flak guns to turn and maneuver at an accelerated rate.
  • Expanded Missile Racks: This vessel has a large amount of missile racks baked into the design, enabling it to carry a large amount of missiles for hunting down starfighters.
  • Auxiliary Thrusters: This vessel has a plethora of thrusters enabling it to have excellent speed and maneuverability for a vessel of its class.
  • Advanced ECCM Package: This vessel is equipped with advanced targeting suite and algorithms that enable it to counter all but the most advanced ECM systems.
STRENGTHS
  • Designed To Kill Starfighters: The Hasta has one job and it excels at it: To hunt down and destroy starfighters, which it excels at doing with its large complement of laser cannons, missiles, and flak guns and impressive speed and maneuverability for its size. A starfighter or starbomber squadron is in for a bad day if they get in range of a Hasta.
WEAKNESSES
  • Weak Against Vessels Larger than 50m: Being a specialized vessel against smaller ships, the Hasta is not very effective at engaging capital class vessels and should retreat if going up against enemy vessels, especially larger ships such as frigates, cruisers, and Star Destroyers.
DESCRIPTION

Developed by Bastion Holdings as a result of Aculia Voland's experience as an admiral during the Battle of Tython and as a carrier-focused admiral, the
Hasta class corvette is a deadly anti-starfighter corvette equipped with a large amount of homing missiles, laser cannons, flak cannons, thrusters, and a powerful ECCM package to make the life of a starfighter pilot or squadron commander a living nightmare. It is specifically tuned to wipe out strikecraft with its speed, maneuverability, size, and armament, and is intended to shore up the general weakness of Imperial fleet composition: a lack of quantity or quality starfighters. Parking multiple Hastas next to a large capital ship with its point defense guns will make any strikecraft assault a nightmare, if not suicidal, to undertake, and they can be harder to kill than expected thank to their speed, manueverability, size, and the ability for them to hide behind their larger brethern capital ships.

The Hasta can also be used as a light system patrol and customs craft, capable of carrying around a full squad of stormtroopers and inspection equipment. Its speed, size, and armament make it useful for this, and many lightly defended Imperial worlds often rely heavily on Hastas to deal with encroaching pirates, smugglers, raiders who rely heavily on strikecraft and speed to ply their trade.

Of course, the Hasta is not a perfect vessel, it is designed to engage smaller ships of the 50m and under class, and in a pinch deal with ships around its own size. It will suffer heavily against ships such as frigates, cruisers, and Star Destroyers who specialize in hunting down smaller ships-as such it is recommended when expecting to go up against such vessels to have larger brethren it can exist in a symbiotic relationship with-it protecting them from strikecraft and them protecting it from larger capital class vessels.
