Harmony Between Two Suns

'Silly stories?' A'Runda thought for a moment. I guess his story was a little silly. Following her into the room he looked around. 'A dedicated meditation room?' he thought to himself. The Tusken would take a seat if there was one. "So um, I did hear the meditating was something people with the force did. I've tried doing it but all I end up doing is dwelling on things and getting upset."

Little did he know he was accidentally doing a sort of darkside meditation. Where one dwells and think with negative emotions. If A'Runda gets around to better understanding the Force. He'd probably realize that he was on the slippery slope to being consumed by the darkside.

"Indeed this is true, and dwelling on the past can lead down some darker paths...my previous, partner, fell to its temptations...although if you find clarity and peace in your past, it can enlighten you." she had shed her heavy cloak and taken up a position across from him.

"Sometimes, you make or find your own path between the opposing sides. I myself tend to stay a little neutral in my beliefs." she shrugs,"But, to each their own. If I can help any out on their journey in any little way, I could call that a success."

She was nervous, never before had she had a student, she was always being taken in by mentors...

What she was telling him helped him conclude that there were indeed two sides to the force. Something he has also heard in the past. But never really understood the nature of either side. As she sat across form him, he looked at her, peering through his mask.

"So is this going to be our first lesson, meditation?" He wondered if he'll do it more correctly this time or not. He was a little exited, being able to talk and share some with someone who has better knowledge in the force then him. Maybe someday he'll have someone to teach as well. But that would probably be awhile. For now he should at least learn the basics of what it means to use the Force.

Pondered the available lesson for a moment before shaking her head. Meditation can be worked on constantly, all the way through training. First though...

"I can see you have very little in the way of understanding as to the Force. Before undertaking the journey in any capacity, first one must understand what the Force is and where they fit into it."

Her eyes sparkled in excitement, hoping she wouldn't bork this up completely.

Sensing her excitement he couldn't help but smile some behind his mask. "It's true, I am quite ignorant to the Force. Just understanding it's name and that there's said to be two sides to it." He found it a little odd that for something so cosmic that there was only two sides to it. Something about it felt too, absolute, too black and white.

"So, please, tell me what the Force is and how people like us fit into it?" He was eager to know. Were they guardians, teachers, students? He was hoping she would shed some light on their reasoning for being able to manipulate the Force.

"From what I have studied, everything in the Galaxy, living and beyond, is connected by the Force. The Force binds it all together." she paused for a moment, working on keeping her words coherent.

"Those of use that can physically manipulate the flow of the Force through ourselves, or those of us that are 'Force sensitive', have many roles we can fill. It all depends on a whole slew of factors, personality, physical, mental, and emotional just to name a few." a slight smile, she had actually studied a bit and been doing a lot of thinking on this very matter.

It felt good to hear her own thoughts aloud.

He listened intently to her word, nodding along to show that he was indeed understanding. "I see, for the longest time I just thought the Force was just a power a select few who were gifted or cursed had." He thought some more on her words. He'd never thought of it as some omnipresent influence throughout the galaxy. It was beginning to settle in now just how ignorant he really was.

So maybe there was a exact purpose for people with the Force. Like everyone, it's quite varied. "So um, Kimiko, should I say Miss Kimiko, or just Mater?" He figured he ought to know. "How do you use the Force, since I'm learning it from you. I think I ought to understand what my teacher sees in it and how it should be used." He hoped that wasn't too big of a question. It's just that he'd been full of questions ever since he was told about it by his clan, and very few had been answered while he was alone.

"I find it as a gift, bestowed to those who are fortunate enough to answer the call." she giggled at his question on honorifics,"Please, just Kimiko is fine."

His second question caused her to pause and think about the times she had used the Force. It had been trying, getting various forms of training, all the emotions it brought, and in combat. This specific thought had never bothered her, but she needed to deepen her own knowledge on the matter, especially if she desired to continue with a student.

"I...have used the Force in a rather odd assortment of ways. Both skills from the Light and the Dark sides have passed through me, albeit heavily untrained myself, so as to how you should use it depends all on you. I cannot take you down a specific path, that is for you to decide." she tried to smile, an offer of comfort.

A'Runda nodded along with all she had to say. Not wanting to miss a word. Then thought on what she said some. Guessing that in the end it was really him that was gonna need to teach himself the ways of the force and how to use it. After all, isn't that something that everyone with this "gift" needs to accomplish?

Also from the sounds of it he could be learning on how to understand both sides of the Force from her. Which he should probably be thankful for getting the bigger picture instead of just half of it. He then smiled back at her from behind his masked face. "Thank you again, Kimiko, it means a lot to be able to learn about these things with you." He said, being quite honest.

"Will you teach me how to use a lightsaber?" The Tusken asked, looking down at his own, crudely made one. "I made my own by myself using an old manual I got." He grabbed it and presented it to her. It had a cross guard hilt, it being a very old design, and did not have the Force signature of a kyber crystal in it. "I heard you were supposed to make it using the Force, but I didn't know how and just made it by hand."

[member="Kimiko"]

Bewildered, she blinked several times before gently accepting the hilt from him. Her eyes scanned the design, interesting and unique, but it felt empty...devoid of a signature. The thought of not having her own instantly sank in and her ears sagged slightly.

"I do know, your lightsaber is an extension of you, both physically and through the Force. Once created, they become your life...or death." she chuckled softly at her own words, moving to pass his hilt back,"I guess this would be the perfect time to help you in this endeavor. Surprisingly, my saber was destroyed recently, and I am in the process of acquiring a new crystal to build another."

He thought some about her words. "Crystal?" He repeated the word. "Oh yeah, I remember hearing that lighsabers used kyber crystals." A'Runda said after getting his hilt back. "I uh, don't have a kyber crystal. They don't grow on Tatooine. Instead of traveling across the galaxy, I head in some very old text, that Krayt Dragon Pearls. Plus I still had the pearl I got when I came into adulthood in my clan, so I used that for it." He kinda like that he used it, feeling more of a personal connection to it, even if it didn't have the force signature of a kyber crystal.

He wondered on how she lost her lightsaber. Must have been kinda tragic he imagined. "You mean you'll help me with my lightsaber. Possibly make it better? I could also help you I hope. Since you said you're in the process of making a new one." He said, clearly wanting to help her. To him it was only fair, she has already helped him out a lot with clearing up a lot of information.

[member="Kimiko"]

"Of course I will! It wouldn't be fair to go through it alone, and it would be a good experience for our travels together." she excitedly wagged her tails along with a wide smile,"Though, I do hope you would accompany me in this endeavor and any more that arise during our time together."

Kimiko calmed herself, not wanting to give the wrong impression,"Being a teacher, you learn by teaching just as much as the student does from the teacher, this will benefit the both of us."

A'Runda couldn't help but smile back at her from behind his mask. This was great, perhaps no longer did the Tusken need to feel alone. Now it seemed he had somebody that could look after him, and for him to look after her. "Yes, certainly." He replied, letting her know that he'd go with her on future endeavors.

"I'm glad that I could be of help. So far it's the least of what I could do considering what you're doing for me." A'Runda knew that he'd do whatever he could to make training him worth something to her, if it wasn't all ready. He wasn't sure if she planned on heading out now or sometime in the morning later.

He nodded enthusiastically to her words. "Of course Kimiko, you're my new teacher. The way I see it, we're in this together." He said, enticement clearly in his voice.

She beamed at the response, and quickly stood offering her hand for him to join her,"Come come! I'll have Chika set up a room for you and get the crew introduced!" she would excitedly exclaim.

Looking up at her, he reached for her hand. After getting up to his feet he thought that it made plenty of sense that she'd have a crew for this ship."O-Okay, I'll be happy to introduce myself." He replied, looking down at her now.

This was only the beginning, and she had the distinct feeling this would bloom into something awesome. They made it about the vessel and introduced all the members of her little "family" to him before gathering them all together. She passed her desire to return from exile and try once again at the freedom of her people.

The road ahead would be long, curvy, and definitely not easy, but it was on that A'Runda was welcome on for the long haul.
