The Cloud Breaker pushed through Tatooine’s atmosphere, the old corvette looking more like she was converted to a hauler than an attack corvette. Jai looked at the Valan, pointing out a sandstorm.

“Bring us down in the storm. We’ll lose any tracks and can land under cover.” The pilot looked at him, chuckling and steering the ship as he began to slip into the dust cloud.

“Always one to be sneaky, Jay.” He said has the corvette began to land. Jai is walked down to the off ramp as the ship landed. Simple mission. Capture an escaped prisoner that had held up out in the desert. He looked over at Kessa as he came down, sliding on his helmet.

“Anything seem too easy about this for the credits they’re offering?” He asked as he made a bit of small talk before the ramp began to open.

Kessa glanced toward the swirling wall of sand beyond the viewport, watching the storm swallow whatever remained of the surrounding landscape. Tatooine had never been among her favorite destinations, although she had spent enough time hunting fugitives across unpleasant worlds to know that complaining about the environment rarely improved it. At least she had company this time, and working alongside Jai again was a welcome change from the solitary contracts she had been taking lately.

"So far, so good," she replied, checking her equipment one final time before looking toward him. "And I'll admit, I've missed working together. It's nice having someone around who knows what they're doing." A faint smile accompanied the observation before she returned her attention to the approaching ramp. "As for the credits, I wouldn't call anything about this easy. Especially with that storm outside. It might cover our landing, but it'll make finding our target considerably more interesting."

She adjusted her gear and moved closer to the ramp, already anticipating the unpleasant prospect of sand finding its way into places it had absolutely no business being. "Still, if our fugitive thinks a little bad weather is enough to keep bounty hunters away, he's going to be disappointed."
