I personally hate speaking on real world stuff, we're a roleplay forum, I've always been adamant that we stick to our roots and stick to roleplay, that we just ban the real world and the grass touching and we keep it at arms lengths and everyone can deal with it on their own, and like I know we all cope in our own ways. And personally I hate like, applying labels to ourselves, and living by those labels, I hate it I'll be honest, and people read too much into it and it seems bad at first, but I really do think that labels codify and reduces the fact that we're all humans. But then I consider that the intolerant also apply these labels to do exactly that - reduce you from human. So it's a Catch 22, in my mind, where you're forced into a corner.
So, for months like this, you just stop worrying about the messaging and ya just say, yeah. I'm with the culture.
I love all my friends who are LGBTQ+. I love all my family that are LGBTQ+. I will literally never tire of ruining and humiliating those who seek to reduce you. Plenty of my friends and family would seek to turn the other cheek, to not approach this subject so gruff, for fear of optics, for fear of reprisal, for fear of how they would be perceived as "too woke" or too gay or too embossed in the culture and as such, deemed crazy. I do not share these concerns, not when I have to look after an entire community of people from all walks of life. Chaos will never not be a safe place for you, and we have to say it with our chest, we have to come down on the bigoted and the intolerant hard, harder than they've ever felt in their uneducated internet lives. We have to, as a community, or they won't understand that we don't tolerate them. It is not hyperbole to say this. There is no driving force other than hate behind anyone who opposes my gay neighbors, my trans neighbors. And it is a very powerful drug that will not let them go willingly. There is no negotiating with intolerance, that is literally the point of it. Some of you will see the better side of life, to think that outcries and discussions can be the carrot.
After 13 years of leading Chaos, I think I prefer the stick.
