Out of lightspeed close to the surface appeared a heavily damaged GS-77 "Tsrotzhu" gunship. Inside the cockpit Minerva gripped the controls tightly as she could, fighting to keep a hold of it. The ship was shaking all over with its computer blaring alert after alert. She cursed in Mando'a at the situation as it worsened and gravity took its course.
Should've been more careful. Those terrorists really did a number on this ship.
The gravitational pull became stronger with each passing moment and there was nothing Minerva could do to stop the coming crash and she now realized it. Groaning, she stubbornly kept a hold of the controls. Breaking into the atmosphere Minerva strained more and more to maintain the grip. She refused to accept death this easily. It will have to fight harder to claim her.
Polluted clouds soon parted, giving view to the ecumenopolis below and her eyes widened underneath the helm. Terrific, just terrific. She thought to herself sarcastically. Inside the helm Minerca gritted her teeth and swerved the vessel out of the way of a large cargo freighter just ascending. Then one of the former's engines blew and the systems were failing fast as the surface came closer and closer.
Even so she refused to surrender and became more determined. Arms in agony she jerked the controls right, evading two lines of ship traffic. Then left as the Mandalorian barely missed a tower. Desperate, she looked for a spot to crash land. Moments later the warrior spotted a massive junkyard to the left flank.
Using what strength she had left Minerva drove the gunship into that direction and at the last moment before slamming into the ground the Mandalorian closed her eyes. A massive jolt erupted as the gunship skid once then twice before tearing into the soil with such violent screech that Minerva felt her head being spiked in torment. Finally seconds later it came to an immediate halt that caused the Mandalorian to hit the console and knocked her out.
