Zes shook her head slightly. "I'm no Jedi, Nolan. Never have been and never will be. Their way isn't mine."

“Your following your own path I respect that”

 

[Zesiro]

Zes smiled. "I suppose I am." She turned the conversation back toward him. "What about you? What made you decide that being a Jedi was the path you wanted?"

“I didn’t really have much of a choice cause when someone has the force they are taken from their family at a very young age but I realized it was the right choice because I know that I can serve the people of the galaxy and make said galaxy a better place”

 

[Zesiro]

Zes considered that for a moment. "Then it sounds like you made the choice yours eventually, even if somebody else made it for you in the beginning." She smiled slightly. "What kind of Jedi do you want to be?"

“I want to be my own Jedi and follow my own rules but still be selfless and protect the little guy”

 

[Zesiro]

Zes nodded slightly. "Protecting people who can't protect themselves is a good goal." A small smile touched her lips. "And I don't think there's anything wrong with figuring out what being a Jedi means for yourself instead of letting somebody else decide it for you."

“Yeah I’m not big on being told what to do” Nolan sighed “not trying to sound like a nerf herder”

 

[Zesiro]

Zes laughed softly. "You don't. I've never been particularly fond of being told what to do either, so I can understand that."

“Plus I can go home to mandalore whenever I want”

 

[Zesiro]

Zes's smile faded slightly. "I don't really have a home at the moment. Hannah and I have places we can go, but nowhere I'd call ours."

“Well this might be a bit of an awkward invitation but your always welcome on mandalore I can vouch for you and Hannah”

 

[Zesiro]

Zes smiled at the offer. "That's not awkward. It's actually very kind of you." She considered it for a moment. "I can't promise we'd ever take you up on it, but it's nice knowing the invitation is there."

“Well the offer stands if you ever change your mind and one thing is for sure I’m honored to call you my friend

 

[Zesiro]

Zes's expression softened at that, the offer meaning more than she expected, considering they'd only just met. "Thank you, Nolan. Really." She smiled. "And I'm honored to call you my friend too. Though you might want to give it a little more time before you decide that's a good idea." There was enough amusement in her voice to make the last part clearly a joke.

Zes laughed. "See? You're learning already." She took another bite of her burger, still smiling. "Maybe friendship with me isn't quite as dangerous as I made it sound."

“Perhaps not” Nolan smiled

Zes took another bite before glancing back at him. "So, what are you planning to do with this long break of yours besides burgers, drinking, and apparently making new friends?"
