DESCRIPTION

In keeping with the theme that anything canon can do, Hegemonic Automaton can do better, Hegemonic Automaton decided its next product would fulfil a very different role than the H1 Droid Control Computer. The H2 Battle Analysis Computer is an improvement (or rather, an actually functioning version) of antiquated and long-forgotten technology.

Once upon a time, during the now-mythic Battle of Endor, a very special sort of computer had been employed by the Rebel Alliance. The Battle Analysis Computer was a prototype then, but its intent was to rapidly process relevant battle information and then develop plans of battle, predict outcomes, analyze tactics, and provide statistics of the enemy based on available information. During the battle, however, the computer stalled and could not be used properly. It was determined that this occurred because the BAC required technology of a sort not readily available to anyone in the galaxy at that time. Now with the passage of history and some key advancements made in the field of droid engineering, Hegemonic Automaton can create a BAC that functions as it should.

Unlike the Battle Analysis Computer used by the Rebel Alliance, the H2 BAC uses the finest parts available to it and underwent meticulous testing prior to implementation. Gabonna Memory Crystal processors and Hegemonic Automaton’s patented Xylen-infused microsynapse system allow the H2 BAC to process information at an incredibly faster pace than thought obtainable by the original. Further, the BAC is programmed with a knowledge of tactics and strategy that would make even a veteran TA3 Tactical Droid envious. Since the H2 BAC is much larger than the J2 Droid Brain, being much like a supercomputer in size, the H2 is free to process more information faster than ever before.

The H2 is intended to only provides analysis of battle as it unfolds and has no ability to directly give orders or command battles themselves. Neglecting to memory wipe the machine can only lead to it gaining experience with every battle. This will result in the H2’s sapience, which typically manifests as a facsimile of famous Atrisian philosophers and generals, which it will quote frequently. Naturally, owners should be wary of falling afoul of their sapient H2- as its spite or disproval towards its owner can easily manifest by providing inaccurate information and intentionally flawed strategies.

It should be noted that H2 Battle Analysis Computers are far from perfect. Oftentimes they assume their opponents are much smarter than they really are and will recommend the reshuffling of formations in order to protect a weakness the enemy had no knowledge of. An H2 BAC is therefore much more effective at telling its owners what to do with their military forces rather than predicting the movements of the enemy. Still, if it engages in battle with the same opponent frequently and has access to data pertaining to previous battles… Well, the H2 BAC can see patterns and adjust to them accordingly. Just like any organic general, only with greater efficiency in learning.

H2 BACs can be constructed anywhere.

Hegemonic Automaton is not responsible for H2 Battle Analysis Computers that obtain sapience.
